Apparatus for monitoring angling events and identifying when a fish is on the line
Provided herein is an apparatus to identify angling events such as when a fish is on the line. The system includes an angling event sensing device with a sensor to generate data indicative of a fishing rod, reel or line and a processor to identify when a fish is on the line based on the data.
Bottle opener sleeve
The present invention is a bottle opener device that can be connected to an end of a handle such as a sporting equipment handle. The bottle opener device includes a sleeve having a hollow tubular shape with an open end and a closed end. The sleeve has a length and a width configured to enclose around the end of the handle. A bottle opener element is connected to the closed end of the sleeve with an opener cutout for enabling the removal of a bottle cap from a bottle. The bottle opener device also includes a magnetic element that holds on to the bottle cap against the bottle opener element after removal. A closing mechanism is integrated along a length of the sleeve which opens and closes and allows the bottle opener sleeve to be placed around the handle and tightly secure it in place by closing.
Fishing line cleaner
The fishing line cleaner comprises a clip and a brush. The clip may removably couple to a fishing rod between a reel and a line guide. A fishing line may pass through the brush such that debris is swept from the fishing line as the fishing line is reeled onto the reel. As non-limiting examples, the debris may comprise aquatic plants and algae. The fishing line may be removed from the brush and the clip may be rotated around the fishing rod or repositioned along the fishing rod to reduce friction on the fishing line for casting.
FLY ROD INCLUDING CAST SENSORS
A fly rod including sensors and methods of using the same are provided, particularly where the sensors assist the user in casting or in logging data associated with fishing activities. In a described embodiment, the fly rod comprises: a handle portion that includes a butt end; a center shaft portion that extends from the handle portion; a tip portion that extends from the shaft portion and includes a tip; a first movement sensor disposed in the tip portion; and a second movement sensor spaced apart from the first sensor.
Programmable fishing rod vibrator with sensory feedback controller
A fishing rod vibration system, including a mounting platform, a batter powered electronics system mounted on the mounting platform and including a motor controller and a user interface operably and electrically coupled to the motor controller, as well as a vibrator selectively and detachably coupled to the electronics system for receiving output signals from the motor controller. The vibrator includes a housing enclosing an electric motor, and vibrator mounting elements enable attachment of the vibrator to a fishing rod.
Magnetic hook keeper
A fishing rod has a rod portion and a handle portion separated by a reel seat. At least one portion defines a magnet receiving area, which may be external or within a hollow portion that is surrounded by a wall and that is located in the rod portion, the reel seat portion, or in the handle portion for receiving a spacer piece. The spacer piece may be cylindrical shaped and made of foam. The spacer piece defines a receiving cavity for receiving a magnet. In one embodiment, the receiving cavity is asymmetrically oriented in the spacer piece such that the receiving cavity has a close side that is a first distance from the wall and has a far side that is a second distance from the wall for locating an area of best magnetic attraction at a predetermined location on an exterior of the rod portion or handle portion.
Fishing rod ruler
A fishing rod ruler including an elongate flexible body with a number of length markings provided thereon, the elongate flexible body to be at least temporarily applied to a fishing rod.
FISHING INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A fishing information management system has a fishing rod to which a fishing reel with a spool capable of winding a fishing line is attached, and is configured to include an operation/environment information detector that detects information on operation and environment of operation of fishing tools when in use including the fishing reel and the fishing rod, a calculator that calculates hit values related to catching fish from information on the operation of the fishing tools, a storage that stores the detection values and the hit values, and an indicator that displays at least either of the detection values or the hit values.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR WEARABLE DEVICES THAT DETERMINE BALANCE INDICES
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for balance index determination. For example, a wearable apparatus may have at least one gyroscope configured to measure angular velocity about a first axis; at least one inertial measurement device (IMU) configured to measure deviation along a second axis and a third axis; at least one memory storing instructions; and at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to: receive angular velocity measurements over a period of time from the at least one gyroscope; receive deviations from the second axis and from the third axis over the period of time from the at least one IMU; weight the deviations based on directions associated with the deviations; and generate a composite balance index based on the angular velocity measurements, the weighted deviations from the second axis, and the weighted deviations from the third axis.
