FISHING INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A fishing information management system has a fishing rod to which a fishing reel with a spool capable of winding a fishing line is attached, and is configured to include an operation/environment information detector that detects information on operation and environment of operation of fishing tools when in use including the fishing reel and the fishing rod, a calculator that calculates the skill levels in operating the fishing tools from information on the operation of the fishing tools, a storage that stores the detection values and the skill levels, and an indicator that displays at least either of the detection values or the skill levels.
FISHING INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A fishing information management system has a fishing rod to which a fishing reel with a spool is attached, and includes an operation/environment information detector that detects information on operation and environment of operation of fishing tools when in use, a storage that stores the information on the operation and operation environment of the fishing tools when in use, a display that displays said information, wherein the display is capable of displaying at least one of the list view of the information on the operation and operation environment of the fishing tools for each casting and dropping, the detailed view of the information on the operation and operation environment of the fishing tools at the predetermined time of casting and dropping, or the statistical information view of statistical information calculated from the information on the operation and operation environment of the fishing tools for each casting and dropping.
Digitally controlled variable stiffness sporting equipment
A system, method, and apparatus for an athlete to variably control the flexibility and stiffness parameters of a piece of athletic equipment to select a desired performance characteristic of the equipment based on the stiffness parameter. According to certain embodiments discussed herein, an item of sporting equipment may be embedded, impregnated, lined, or encased using nitinol components, wherein the nitinol components may themselves be treated using a specific method in order to achieve the desired transformation results, as described below.
ILLUMINATING FISHING ROD
An illuminating fishing rod, including a main body to facilitate fishing, an illumination unit disposed on at least a portion of the main body to illuminate a surrounding area thereof, and a power button disposed on at least a portion of the main body to turn on the illumination unit in response to depressing the power button a first time, and turn off the illumination unit in response to depressing the power button a second time.
Heated fishing rod guide apparatus
A heated fishing rod guide apparatus is provided to enable fishing in freezing conditions. A circuit strip overlay is positionable upon a fishing rod to situate a plurality of heating elements in heating contact with each of the plurality of guides disposed upon the fishing rod blank. Electrical energy supplied to each guide therefore resistively heats said guides to prevent the fishing line from freezing thereto to prevent snapping of the line as often otherwise occurs. At least one connector is disposed upon the handle of the fishing rod disposed in circuit with the circuit strip overlay. The at least one connector may be adapted for connection with at least one contact disposed upon a cold weather glove, to enable heating of the rod when held in hand, and, alternately, with an attachable contact to enable hands-free heating.
Illuminative fishing pole
The present invention discloses an illuminative fishing pole incorporated with a bulb or fiber optic wires to illuminate the fishing pole, which can be used for night fishing activities. The fishing pole extending from bottom handle to top tip or eyelet, comprises a portable power source, one or more light sources, at least one fiber optic cable or wire, and a power (on/off) button. The light is emitted from the light source powered by the power source, where the emitted light is passed onto the fiber optics along the length of the fishing pole to illuminate the fishing pole from its base or bottom handle to its tip or eyelet. The fishing pole according to the present invention, eliminates electrical vibration. The illuminative fishing pole kit can also be used to alter the existing fishing rod or retrofittable to the existing fishing poles already in use.
FISHING CONDITION DETECTION AND TRANSMISSION DEVICE
To provide a fishing state detection/transmission device that is capable of being provided on a fishing rod, detecting the above-described fishing state accurately and reliably, and transmitting the fishing state to the fishing person. There is provided a fishing state detection/transmission device according to an embodiment of the disclosure that comprises a grip portion and is provided on a fishing rod to which a fishing line having a fishing hook is attached at an end, the fishing state detection/transmission device comprising: a vibration generation unit that is provided on the grip portion and generates vibration in the grip portion; a first detection unit that is provided on the fishing rod and detects movement or vibration of the fishing rod to generate first time-series data; and an information processing unit that transmits a vibration generation signal to the vibration generation unit on a basis of the first time-series data.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR WEARABLE DEVICES THAT DETERMINE BALANCE INDICES
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for balance index determination. For example, a wearable apparatus may have at least one gyroscope configured to measure angular velocity about a first axis; at least one inertial measurement device (IMU) configured to measure deviation along a second axis and a third axis; at least one memory storing instructions; and at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to: receive angular velocity measurements over a period of time from the at least one gyroscope; receive deviations from the second axis and from the third axis over the period of time from the at least one IMU; weight the deviations based on directions associated with the deviations; and generate a composite balance index based on the angular velocity measurements, the weighted deviations from the second axis, and the weighted deviations from the third axis.
ENCLOSURE FOR AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE IN A FISHING ROD
An enclosure for an electronic device such as a light or bite indicator is provided that may be positioned and located on a butt end of a fishing rod (nearer to the reel). The enclosure includes two securing members that may be threaded to one another or snapped together to form a cavity there between. The first securing member includes a post that engages with the rod, and the post may be permanently attached to the butt end of the fishing rod. The second securing member may be threaded onto or snapped together with the first securing member to form the cavity, and the securing members may be sealed to one another using rubber seals to increase water-tightness of the cavity.
Fish bite indicator
A fish bite indicator utilizes a line retainer coupled to a pivot arm and configured to rotate to bring a pair of electrical contacts into contact with a circuit contact to complete a circuit and activate an indicator light and/or indicator speaker. An indicator speaker may produce a factory set alert sound or a recorded alert sound that a user records to distinguish one fishing pole from another. A user may insert the fishing line a desired amount down into the line wedge seam and the depth of insertion may change when the line is released upon the pivoting of the pivot arm. The fish bite indicator may have a drag knob to change how much line tension is required to move the pivot arm and may have a sensitivity knob that adjusts how far the pivot arm has to rotate before the indicator is activated.
