Movable hood for reel seat, reel seat, and fishing rod including same
A movable hood for a reel seat has a hood portion, through which a body of a reel seat passes, and a nut portion, which is connected to the hood portion to rotate around the body and is threadedly coupled to an outer peripheral surface of the body at an inner peripheral surface. The hood portion has a pair of first guide projections and a second guide projection which are fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the body. The first guide projections project from an inner peripheral surface of the hood portion above a central axis of the hood portion, and the second guide projection projects from the inner peripheral surface of the hood portion at a lower end of the hood portion. A radial thickness in a cross section of the hood portion gradually decreases from the first guide projections toward the second guide projection.
Movable hood for reel seat, reel seat, and fishing rod including same
A movable hood for a reel seat has a hood portion and a nut portion. A body of a reel seat passes through the hood portion. The hood portion is movable in a longitudinal direction of the body. The nut portion is connected to the hood portion to rotate around the body and is threadedly coupled to an outer peripheral surface of the body at an inner peripheral surface. The hood portion has a base end facing the nut portion and a leading end located opposite the base end. When viewing the hood portion from side, a length of an upper side of the hood portion from the base end to the leading end is longer than a length of a lower side of the hood portion from the base end to the leading end, and an upper contour of the hood portion has an upward convex curve line.

Self-Tensioning Reel Seat
Described are self-tensioning reel seat ends for fishing reel seats. The described reel seats generally have a proximal end, a distal end, and a tensioning medium. The tensioning medium provides force between the proximal and distal ends of the reel seat end in order to securely seat a fishing reel in a reel seat by way of the tensioning provided by the tensioning medium. The described self-tensioning reel seat ends can be incorporated at one or both ends of a reel seat, and can be incorporated into fishing rods or poles, as well as in bows used for bow fishing.
