Provided is a pneumatic tire comprising a carcass straddling between bead portions and extending toroidally, a belt including a cord, and a coating material made of a resin or a rubber and with which the cord is coated, the belt being disposed at a position outside a crown portion of the carcass in a tire radial direction, and a resin layer disposed between the carcass and the belt or at a position outside the belt in the tire radial direction, the resin layer being in contact with the coating material of the belt, and an outer end of the resin layer in a tire width direction is located, in the tire width direction, at the same position as in an outer end of the belt in the tire width direction, or located, in the tire width direction, outside the outer end of the belt in the tire width direction.

A radial tire includes a pair of bead cores, a carcass layer having one or more carcass plies extending from one of the bead cores to another of the bead cores in a toroidal form, a tread portion circumferentially encircling the toroidal form of the carcass layer, and a belt layer having a main belt layer, a first, unreinforced cushion layer disposed on a radially outer side of the main belt layer, a protective belt layer disposed on a radially outer side of the first cushion layer, and a second, unreinforced cushion layer disposed on a radially outer side of the protective belt layer and a radially inner side of the tread portion. The first, unreinforced cushion layer has a radial thickness between 2.0 mm and 10.0 mm.

One embodiment of the present invention provides a rubber reinforcement material which comprises a fiber substrate, an adhesive layer disposed on the fiber substrate, a rubber compound layer disposed on the adhesive layer, and resorcinol-formaldehyde-latex (RFL), wherein the rubber compound layer has a thickness of 5 m to 200 m.

Radial tire having a lightweight belt structure

A radial tire with a lightened belt structure (10) comprises a multilayer composite laminate (10a, 10b, 10c) of specific construction, with a first layer (10a) of rubber (C1) reinforced with preferably weakly heat-shrinkable circumferential textile multifilament fibres (110) twisted individually on themselves with a torsion T greater than 100 turns per meter, for example, made of nylon or of polyester, this first layer radially (in the direction Z) surmounting two other layers (10b, 10c) of rubber (C2, C3, respectively) reinforced with monofilaments (120, 130) of high tensile steel. The first reinforcers have an envelope diameter between 0.30 mm and 0.60 mm and a density, measured in the axial direction Y, between 90 and 150 threads/dm, and the second and third reinforcers each have a diameter between 0.20 mm and 0.50 mm and a density, measured in the axial direction Y, between 100 and 180 threads/dm.

The invention relates to a tire with radial carcass reinforcement, made up of at least one layer of metal reinforcing elements, the said tire comprising a crown reinforcement, itself radially capped by a tread, the said tread being connected to two beads via two side walls, the said tire comprising a first layer of polymer compound radially between the carcass reinforcement and the radially innermost layer of reinforcing elements of the crown reinforcement. According to the invention, the said first layer of polymer compound constitutes a buffer zone designed to trap oxygen on the outside of the said first layer, the axial width of the said first layer being at least equal to 70% of the width of the radially innermost layer of reinforcing elements of the crown reinforcement.

To provide a rubber compound for tires, a pneumatic tire and an airless tire capable of improving the steering stability of the tire while exerting excellent low fuel consumption performance. A rubber compound for tires characterized in that, of vulcanized rubber's physical properties, a complex elastic modulus E*.sub.70 (unit: MPa) and a loss tangent tan .sub.70 under initial strain of 10%, dynamic strain of 2% and temperature of 70 degrees C., satisfy 90<E*.sub.70<250, and E*.sub.70/tan .sub.70>800. A pneumatic tire provided with a rubber member made of the above-mentioned rubber compound. An airless tire provided with a rubber member made of the above-mentioned rubber compound. An airless tire provided in a tread ring with a shear rubber layer made of the above-mentioned rubber compound.
