The tire additionally comprises, in each shoulder, at least one end of a layer of reinforcing elements that are mutually parallel in the layer and are oriented circumferentially, said end being axially outside said at least two working crown layers, the reinforcing elements of the carcass reinforcement having a diameter less than 0.85 mm, and said reinforcing elements of the carcass reinforcement being made up of threads with a diameter less than 0.16 mm.
Tyre for motorcycles
Tyre for motorcycles includes a carcass structure, a belt structure arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the carcass structure and a tread band arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the belt structure, wherein the belt structure is of the zero degree type and includes at least one reinforcing cord having an elongation at break smaller than about 3%; the cord includes a plurality of first metal wires twisted together so as to form a core of first metal wires and a plurality of second metal wires twisted together around said core; and the number and the diameter of the second metal wires are such that the second metal wires are not able to fully enclose the core.
Cap ply strip with alternate nylon 6,6 and PET cords
The present invention relates to a novel tire cord fabric or strip made of alternating PET and nylon 6.6 warp cords which is used as tire reinforcement. Such a novel tire cord fabric or strips improve high speed durability, tread separation resistance and impact resistance when used as zero degree spirally wound cap ply in pneumatic radial tires.
PNEUMATIC TIRE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Provided are a pneumatic tire with improved dimensional stability, low loss property, and durability and a method of producing the same. In a pneumatic tire, a rubber-fiber composite is used in at least any of a carcass ply and a cap ply, the rubber-fiber composite containing: a fiber cord made of polyamide multifilament fibers having a glass transition temperature in a range of 150 C. to 200 C.; and a rubber, a layer made of a resorcin-formalin-latex adhesive is formed at an interface between the fiber cord and the rubber, and a thermal contraction stress at 177 C. of the fiber cord with the layer formed thereon is 0.01 cN/dtex to 0.2 cN/dtex.
Cap ply reinforcement strip in pneumatic tire
The cap ply reinforcement strip is a ready-to-use plain woven fabric and is composed of hybrid cord warps (3) and texturized weft yarns (2). The cap ply reinforcement strip for pneumatic tires (1) eliminates calendering and strip preparation steps by eliminating the need for rubber coating and decreases the rolling resistance of the tire and the fuel consumption.
THIN LAYER CAPPLY AND LOW-WEIGHT TIRE USING THE SAME
The present invention provides a thin layer capply and a low-weight tire to which the thin layer capply is applied. The thin layer capply of the present invention has effects of reducing a rolling resistance of the tire through a weight reduction and improving fuel efficiency of a vehicle in which the tires are mounted while maintaining stiffness required for the tire, by forming the cord spinning layer in a thin tape form by spinning and depositing a plurality of cord strands, rather than twisting a plurality of cord strands to form the capply cord.
Pneumatic Tire, Having Working Layers Comprising Monofilaments And A Tire Tread With Grooves
Technique to increase the endurance of tires comprising two working layers (41, 42), comprising mutually parallel reinforcing elements (411, 421) each forming, with the circumferential direction (XX) of the tire, an oriented angle (AA, AB), such that these respective angles are of opposite sign, the reinforcing elements being comprised of individual metal threads, by combining a manufacturer-recommended direction of rotation (SR) and an optimized design of tread pattern. The tire also comprises axially exterior major grooves (24) in the tread (2) having a mean linear profile L of a width W at least equal to 1 mm and of a depth D at least equal to 5 mm. Different conditions governing the angular orientations of the mean linear profiles L of the axially exterior major grooves (24) apply to the left-hand axially exterior portion (22) and to the right-hand axially exterior portion (23) of the tread (2).
Tire Carcass Reinforcement For A Two-Wheeled Vehicle
Tire for a two-wheeled motorized vehicle of the motorcycle type, comprising a tread (2), of width L, joined by two sidewalls (3) to two beads (4), said tread comprising first and second elastomer compositions, crown reinforcement (5), radially inside tread (2) comprising a crown layer comprising mutually parallel circumferential reinforcers coated with an elastomer composition and forming a substantially zero angle and at most equal to 5 to the circumferential direction, a carcass reinforcement (6), radially inside crown reinforcement (5), comprising turnup (61) and having thickness M. Carcass reinforcement (61) comprises mutually parallel reinforcers coated with an elastomer composition, and wrapped, in each bead (4), from the inside to the outside of the tire, about bead wire (7) in order to form turnup (8) comprising free end E.sub.2. Carcass reinforcement (6) comprises crown portion (611) and lateral portion (612), crown portion (611) extending axially between first and second ends E.sub.2, E.sub.2, E.sub.2 and E.sub.2 being symmetric to equatorial plane P of the tire, lateral portion (612) extending symmetrically to equatorial plane P radially towards the inside, from radially outermost end E.sub.2 to fourth end E.sub.4 disposed at the bead wire.
MOTORCYCLE TIRE
A motorcycle tire comprises a tread portion provided with a belt layer and a radially outer band layer. The belt layer comprises a first belt ply on a carcass 6 and a second belt ply thereon. The band layer is made of a spirally wound band cord and has a developed width smaller than that of the belt layer.
