PNEUMATIC TIRE
A tread pattern of a pneumatic tire includes three or more circumferential main grooves extending in a tire circumferential direction, a land portion defined by the circumferential main grooves, and a sipe provided in the land portion. At least one edge of edges on both sides of the land portion in a tire width direction is a zigzag edge. The sipe is a composite sipe including a two-dimensional portion and a three-dimensional portion, and the three-dimensional portion is connected to the zigzag edge.
Tread for a pneumatic tire
A tread for a tire includes: a first tread zone extending circumferentially, continuously, and entirely around the tire, the first tread zone being formed of a first compound; a second tread zone extending circumferentially, continuously, and entirely around the tire, the second tread zone being formed of a second compound different from the first compound; and a boundary groove axially separating the first tread zone from the second tread zone, the first tread zone, the second tread zone, and the boundary groove entirely forming the tread, the boundary groove having an axial centerline disposed an axial distance from an equatorial plane of the tire. The first tread zone has a first circumferential groove and a sidewall portion defining an intermediate circumferential rib of the first tread zone and a shoulder circumferential rib of the first tread zone.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire includes a tread portion being provided with blocks which are provided with sipes. When the tread portion is virtually divided into a crown area having a ¼ tread ground-contact width centered on a tire equator, a pair of middle areas each having a ⅛ tread ground-contact width and being adjacent to axially each side of the crown area and a pair of inner shoulder areas each having a ⅛ tread ground-contact width and being adjacent to axially outside the middle areas, the sipes comprise crown sipes having main portions included in the crown area, middle sipes having main portions included in the middle areas and shoulder sipes having main portions included in the inner shoulder areas. Depths of the crown sipes are smaller than depths of the middle sipes, and depths of the shoulder sipes are smaller than the depths of the middle sipes.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire includes a tread portion molded by sectors divided in a tire circumferential direction. The pneumatic tire includes circumferential grooves, rows of land portions, and sipes. The circumferential grooves extend in the tire circumferential direction in the tread portion. The rows of land portions are defined by the circumferential grooves. The sipes extend in a tire width direction in at least one row of the rows of land portions. The sipes include at least one shallow bottom sipe and regular sipes. The at least one shallow bottom sipe is disposed in a boundary region including a dividing position of each of the sectors. The regular sipes are disposed at positions more separated from the dividing position of each of the sectors than the at least one shallow bottom sipe. The at least one shallow bottom sipe is shallower than the regular sipes.
Tyre
A tyre has a tread portion. The tread portion has a land region divided by a first edge and a second edge extending in a tyre circumferential direction. The land region is provided with a plurality of sipes each extending between the first edge and the second edge. The plurality of the sipes includes inclined sipes and bent sipes. Each of the bent sipes includes first inclined elements inclined in the first direction with respect to the tyre axial direction and a second inclined element inclined in a direction opposite to the first inclined elements with respect to the tyre axial direction. Each of the inclined sipes is configured to have a depth larger at a center portion thereof than at both end portions thereof. Each of the bent sipes is configured to have a depth smaller at a center portion thereof than at both end portions thereof.
Tread block arrangement having a sipe
A tread block arrangement suitable for a tire or for a tread band for a tire. The tread block arrangement comprises a tread block that limits a first primary sipe. The first primary sipe comprises at least a first deep part and a second deep part separated from the first deep part by a first shallow part. A depth of the first deep part is at least three times a depth of the first shallow part and a depth of the second deep part is at least three times the depth of the first shallow part. The first deep part is limited in a longitudinal direction of the first primary sipe by a primary first end wall and a secondary first end wall such that a first angle between the primary first end wall and the secondary first end wall is from 1 degree to 30 degrees. The second deep part is limited in a longitudinal direction of the first primary sipe by a primary second end wall and a secondary second end wall such that a second angle between the primary second end wall and the secondary second end wall is from 1 degree to 30 degrees.
