A tire having a circumferential groove having a groove bottom and a pair of groove walls. The groove bottom is provided with groove bottom raised portions protruding radially outwardly from a reference plane 5a. The groove bottom raised portions are a first groove bottom raised portion located on a first side in the width direction of the circumferential groove and a second groove bottom raised portion located on a second side in the width direction. The first and second groove bottom raised portions each has a plurality of repeating units having a first bottom surface extending substantially in the tire radial direction and a second bottom surface inclined with respect to the tire radial direction at a larger angle than the first bottom surface. The inclination direction of the second bottom surfaces of the first groove bottom raised portion is opposite to the inclination direction of the second bottom surfaces of the second groove bottom raised portion.

A tyre tread (10) has a groove (12) having a snow trapping device in the form of a dam (14) in it. The dam (14) is attached to a bottom wall (16) of the groove (12), and to side walls (18, 20) of the groove (12). The dam (14) has a first, snow trapping surface (22) and a second, inclined surface (24) which face in opposite sides in the groove longitudinal direction. The second, inclined surface (24) directs the flow of water away from the bottom wall (16). A hole (32) and a sipe (34) form a passageway (30) for water through the dam (14) in the groove longitudinal direction. The passageway reduces water flow recirculation. The whole of the dam (14) is between the side walls (18, 20) of the groove (12).

The subject of the disclosure is a tread for a tire, this tread having a tread surface intended to come into contact with a roadway and comprising at least one groove of width W and depth P delimited by two facing lateral walls, these lateral walls being connected together by a groove bottom. At least one groove has a plurality of closing devices for reducing the running resonance noise generated by this groove, each closing device comprising at least two flexible blades, a first flexible blade secured to the bottom of the groove and intended to flex around a first axis, and a second flexible blade secured to a lateral wall delimiting the groove and intended to flex around a second axis, the first flexible blade connected to the bottom having a maximum height H.

TIRE TREAD

A tire includes an annular tread portion with a circumferentially extending groove having bridge structures at circumferential intervals about the groove and contoured pockets therebetween. Each pocket has curved transition surfaces separating the bridge structures from curved base surfaces of the pocket. The curved transition surfaces have radii of curvature between 2.0 mm and 4.0 mm. The curved base surfaces may radii of curvature between 4.0 mm and 8.0 mm.

An object is to, in an aircraft tire, promote heat dissipation from circumferential direction grooves of a tread and improve durability of the tire. Plural circumferential direction grooves (central side circumferential direction grooves (14), edge portion side circumferential direction grooves (16)) that extend in a tire circumferential direction are formed in a tread (12). In a tire circumferential direction cross-section, a groove bottom (18) of at least one of the circumferential direction grooves has a wave shape having amplitude in a tire radial direction.
