The RF tag known in the art incorporated in a tire has a problem that it can easily get distorted when the stresses occurring in the running tire converge on its vicinity. The present invention provides a tire (1) configured to prevent distortion from occurring in the RF tag (50) incorporated therein. The tire (1) includes an RF tag structure (50A) which is constructed of the RF tag (50) covered with a coating rubber (51). The modulus of elasticity of the coating rubber (51) is higher than that of the rubbers of the adjacent members (13, 32) located adjacently on the respective axial sides of the coating rubber (51).

The subject of the present invention is an electronic unit (1) suitable for being positioned on an inner surface (Fi) of a tread of a tire (P) with a view to measuring operating parameters of a vehicle wheel fitted with said tire, the electronic unit being characterized in that it comprises: a body (2) configured to be embedded within the thickness of said tire, in a housing provided for this purpose, and including sensors (4) for measuring operating parameters of the wheel; a a head (3), arranged at one end of the body and comprising a circuit board (5) for managing information from the sensors on the body and communication means (6) for communicating with a central unit on board the vehicle; connection means (8) for connecting the elements fitted to the body to the elements fitted to the head; and a means (7) for supplying the electronic unit with power.

Tire with a module

A tire, comprising a module and a receptacle connected to an inner surface of the tire. Therein, the receptacle comprises wall(s), which wall(s) limit(s) openings comprising at least a first opening and a second opening. Therein, part of the module extends through at least the second opening such that the wall(s) of the receptacle laterally surround(s) only a first part of the module such that at least a second part of the module is arranged outside the receptacle.

TYRE MONITORING DEVICE COMPRISING AN ELECTRONIC UNIT AND TYRE COMPRISING SAID DEVICE

A tyre monitoring device comprises an electronic unit enclosed in an encapsulation material. The encapsulation material forms a single body with an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion encloses and protects the electronic unit and the lower portion has a base surface aimed at fixing said device to the inner surface of the tyre.

HEAVY GOODS VEHICLE TIRE EQUIPPED WITH A RADIOFREQUENCY COMMUNICATION MODULE

A heavy goods vehicle tire has a radial carcass reinforcement, made up of a single layer of metal reinforcing elements anchored in each of the beads by a turn-up around a bead wire. The turn-up of the carcass reinforcement layer and the main part of the carcass reinforcement layer are coupled, and a passive radiofrequency communication module is placed facing the coupling region at the interface between two layers of rubber compounds.

Tire with printed shear sensors

A tire with printed shear sensors includes a pair of bead areas and a ground-contacting tread disposed radially outwardly of the pair of bead areas. A pair of sidewalls includes an inboard sidewall extending from a first one of the bead areas to the tread and an outboard sidewall extending from a second one of the bead areas to the tread. A carcass extends toroidally between each of the bead areas radially inwardly of the tread, and an innerliner is formed on an inside surface of the carcass. A pair of resistive shear sensors is printed on the innerliner, including a first shear sensor printed in a sidewall zone of the inboard sidewall and a second shear sensor printed in a sidewall zone of the outboard sidewall.

Tire with RFID locator

A tire includes an RFID locator. The tire includes a pair of bead areas and a ground-contacting tread disposed radially outwardly of the pair of bead areas. Each sidewall of a pair of sidewalls extends from a respective bead area to the tread. A carcass extends toroidally between each of the bead areas radially inwardly of the tread and an innerliner is formed on an inside surface of the carcass. An RFID tag is attached to the tire at an area of a selected one of the sidewalls through interior sidewall attachment. A locator indicia is integrated into an axial outer surface of the selected sidewall at a locator area.

Self contained tire inflator

An inflator disposed within a tubeless tire for inflating the tubeless tire. A rechargeable electric storage disposed within a tubeless for providing electricity. An electric air compressor is mounted on an inside surface of the rim of the tubeless tire within the pressure cavity of the tubeless tire. The electric air compressor and an air pressure sensor disposed within the tubeless tire runs by a controller. The electric air compressor has a compressed air inlet vented to atmosphere in a custom valve stem through a conventional hole of a valve stem in the rim of the tubeless tire. A motion activated power generator recharges the rechargeable electric storage. A short-range radio transmits measured pressure data for each tire to a central OBD module plugged into in the vehicle. The central OBD module connects through a smartphone indirectly or directly to a central server via a networked cellular radio tower.
