Stabilizer and assembling method therefor
A stabilizer includes: a stabilizer bar made of a pipe material; and a stabilizer link that couples the stabilizer bar and a suspension device. The stabilizer link includes a ball stud which includes a shaft portion inserted to and fixed in an opening end of the stabilizer bar and a ball portion formed at a leading end of the shaft portion, a housing which rotatably supports the ball portion, and a flexible dust cover which includes one end attached on the housing so as to be unmovable in a ball stud axis direction and the other end attached on at least either of the shaft portion and the stabilizer bar and which seals a space between the housing and the ball stud.
ANTI-SWAY BAR DISCONNECT SYSTEM
An anti-sway bar assembly for a vehicle. The anti-sway bar assembly including: a first anti-sway bar member associated, at a first end thereof, with a first wheel of the vehicle; a second anti-sway bar member associated, at a first end thereof, with an opposed second wheel of the vehicle; and a connection assembly associated with a second end of each of the first anti-sway bar member and the second anti-sway bar member, the connection assembly configured for movement between a use condition in which the first anti-sway bar member and the second anti-sway bar member are connected to one another, and a released condition in which the first anti-sway bar member and the second anti-sway bar member are disconnected from one another.
VEHICLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM
A vehicle suspension system includes suspension arms mounted to a vehicle body frame to be pivotable between a low rolling posture and a high rolling posture and an anti-roll bar unit. The anti-roll bar unit includes a main anti-roll bar and a sub anti-roll bar. The sub anti-roll bar extends at least partially parallel with the main anti-roll bar. In the low rolling posture of the suspension arms, the main anti-roll bar and the sub anti-roll bar are not in contact with each other. In the high rolling posture of the suspension bars, the main anti-roll bar and the sub anti-roll bar are in contact with each other to increase stiffness of the anti-roll bar unit.
Ball joint, and stabilizer link using same
This ball joint is provided with: a ball stud, one end being fastened to a suspension device/stabilizer, and the other end having a ball part; a housing that rotatably supports the ball part of the ball stud; and a ball seat provided so as to be interposed between the housing and the ball part, the ball seat having an inner spherical part for accommodating the ball part. The ball seat is provided to the housing by insert injection molding. The inside diameter dimension of the inner spherical part formed by separate injection molding is set to a dimension corresponding to the anticipated amount of molding shrinkage of the resin during the insert injection molding.
IN-WHEEL MOTOR UNIT COUPLING STRUCTURE
An in-wheel motor unit coupling structure includes an in-wheel motor unit and a shock absorber. The in-wheel motor unit is disposed inside a wheel of a vehicle. The in-wheel motor unit is configured to support the wheel such that the wheel is rotatable. The in-wheel motor unit includes an electric motor that serves as a rotational driving source of the wheel. The shock absorber is coupled to the in-wheel motor unit. The shock absorber is a component of a vehicle suspension. A lower end portion of the shock absorber is fastened to a vehicle center side, in a vehicle width direction, of a motor part so as to be pressed against the motor part outward from the vehicle in the vehicle width direction. The motor part is a part in which the electric motor of the in-wheel motor unit is built.
CONNECTION SYSTEM FOR CONNECTING A DAMPING UNIT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE INSIDE A WHEEL SUSPENSION OF SAID VEHICLE
The invention relates to a connection system for connecting a damper unit of a vehicle inside a wheel suspension of the vehicle, the connection system having: an upper attachment region for attaching the damping unit, at least part of said region surrounding a receiving area for the damping unit and the receiving area extending around a first axis acting as the damping axis of the damping unit; a lower attachment region for coupling to the wheel-side portion of the wheel suspension, said lower attachment region having, in particular, two mutually spaced lower sections with an attachment area therebetween and an intermediate region which connects the upper attachment region to the lower attachment region. The main extension of the intermediate region corresponds to the direction of the first axis and the intermediate region allows the passage of a drive shaft of the vehicle. The connection system is made of an extruded part, the extrusion direction of which is the direction in which the extruded material extends, said material thus forming the intermediate region of the connection system. The invention also relates to a connection system comprising a clamping mechanism.
SUSPENSION SYSTEM
A suspension system having a knuckle carrier. A pivot mechanism may pivotally couple a control arm to the knuckle carrier. The pivot mechanism may include a preload nut that may exert a preload force on a bearing assembly. A platform may be fixedly disposed on the knuckle carrier. The platform may support an air spring and may have an arm that is coupled to a stabilizer bar subassembly.
SIDE-BY-SIDE ATV
The present invention relates to all terrain vehicles having at least a pair of laterally spaced apart seating surfaces. More particularly, the present invention relates to trail compliant side-by-side all terrain vehicles.
Independent suspension
An independent wheel suspension includes a knuckle which is supported on a spring support connected to a vehicle body. The knuckle is connected to the spring support via a knuckle pin and is arranged so as to be mounted rotatably around a longitudinal axis A of the knuckle pin. The transverse control arms are mounted at the upper end and lower end, respectively, of the knuckle pin. The spring support is connected to the knuckle pin so as to be fixed with respect to rotation relative to it so that the knuckle pin connects the spring support, the knuckle and the upper transverse control arm and lower transverse control arm together. The independent wheel suspension has a further safety component which prevents the knuckle pin from rotating in an uncontrolled manner around its longitudinal axis A.
Hydraulic anti-sway bar disconnect system
A hydraulic anti-sway bar disconnect system for locking and unlocking movement of an anti-sway bar of a vehicle, the system including an actuable control valve for controlling the movement of a working fluid within the system, at least one cylinder and piston assembly connected to the anti-sway bar having a working fluid connection port at both ends of the cylinder, a working fluid reservoir in fluid connection with the working fluid connection ports on the at least one cylinder via the actuable control valve whereby the actuable control valve is operable to maintain the system in a locked condition whereby working fluid in the cylinder maintains the piston substantially in position and an unlocked condition in which the actuable control valve allows the working fluid in the cylinder to exit the cylinder giving the piston free travel in the cylinder.
