Integral 5-link independent suspension systems
A 5-link independent suspension system for a motor vehicle may include a steering knuckle and a trailing link extending along a single axis. The trailing link may be connected to the steering knuckle and be configured to attach to a frame rail of the vehicle. The suspension system may further include an integral link connected to the steering knuckle and configured to attach to the trailing link.
Wheel suspension for a rear wheel of a two-track motor vehicle
A wheel suspension for a rear wheel of a two-track motor vehicle, includes a five-link assembly which has five individual links which are coupled to the vehicle body via body-side bearings and to the wheel carrier of the rear wheel via wheel-carrier-side bearings, which five-link assembly, as viewed in the direction of travel, has a front pair of links and a rear pair of links, wherein the front pair of links has a lower, front link, with respect to the axis of rotation of the wheel, and an upper, front link, and the rear pair of links has a lower, rear link, in particular track rod, and an upper, rear link. A lower spring link, on which a spring arrangement having a vibration damper and a supporting spring is supported, is arranged in the direction of travel between the front and rear pairs of links. The front pair of links with respect to the spring link is of softer design in the transverse direction of the vehicle than the rear pair of links. As a result, a change in the toe-in at the rear wheel takes place under exertion of a lateral force or a longitudinal force.
Suspension system for a vehicle
A suspension system for a vehicle is capable of preventing a spring from completely escaping from a spring pad when rebound additionally occurs in a full-rebound state during driving of the vehicle and thus the spring is extended beyond the extendable range thereof (or the free height thereof).
Front suspension assembly for an off-road vehicle
A vehicle including a frame; a front left suspension assembly with a front left wheel; a front right suspension assembly with a front right wheel; a front gear train; a motor; shafts connected between the front wheels and the front gear train. Each front suspension assembly including a knuckle including: a first portion connected to a wheel hub and including a first ball joint, and a second portion extending upward from the first portion and including a second ball joint; a lower A-arm connected to the first ball joint; an upper A-arm connected to the second ball joint; the second ball joint being distanced from the wheel axis by a distance greater than the inner rim radius; and a shock assembly connected to the lower A-arm and the frame, the shafts passing below the ball joint of the shock absorber assembly which is vertically higher than the shaft.
Vehicle
Provided is a vehicle with a cargo room provided on a vehicle body frame, the vehicle comprising: drive motors respectively provided for each of a pair of first rear wheels 50 and a pair of second rear wheels 55 disposed at a predetermined interval in the front-rear direction of the vehicle, the drive motors rotating the first rear wheels 50 and second rear wheels 55 independently; and a pair of suspension mechanisms 100 supporting a first axle of the first rear wheels 50 and a second axle of the second rear wheels 55. The suspension mechanism 100 includes: a first arm 110 which is coupled to the first axle of the first rear wheels 50 and the longitudinal direction of which extends in the front-rear direction; a second arm 115 which is coupled to the second axle of the second rear wheels 55 and the longitudinal direction of which extends in the front-rear direction; a support shaft 120 that causes one end of the first arm 110 in the longitudinal direction and one end of the second arm 115 in the longitudinal direction to be rotatably supported with respect to the vehicle body frame; a first spring member 130 provided between the other end of the first arm 110 in the longitudinal direction and the vehicle body; and a second spring member 135 provided between the other end of the second arm 115 in the longitudinal direction and the vehicle body.
Rear lower isolator
A spring rear isolator has a base to couple the isolator with a suspension module. A spring seat, coupled with the base, has an index pilot hub to receive a pig tail end of a coil spring. The index pilot hub has an overall circular cylindrical shape with a lobe that peripherally extends from a portion of the cylinder. The lobe fixes position of the coil spring in the spring seat. The index pilot hub extends axially from the base into a second revolution of the coil spring.
FRONT SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY FOR AN OFF-ROAD VEHICLE
A front suspension assembly for a vehicle, the assembly including a knuckle connected to the front wheel, a lower arm pivotally connected to a first ball joint of the knuckle; an upper arm pivotally connected to the second ball joint of the knuckle; and a shock absorber assembly. The knuckle and the lower and upper arms defining a kingpin axis at least partly extending between an inner surface of the front wheel and an outer surface of the front wheel. The knuckle including a first portion connected to a wheel hub including a first ball joint and a second portion connected to and extending generally upward from the first portion, the second portion including a second ball joint disposed at a top portion of the knuckle.
Friction free roller spring perch
A method for creating a roller spring perch has steps for making a steel frame bracket, procuring snap rings, procuring four bearings, machining a steel cylindrical bearing housing, machining a bearing shaft, assembling the bearing shaft to the bearing housing with the four bearings pressed onto each of two bearing lands, assembling the snap rings in snap ring grooves of the bearing shaft, placing the bearing housing with the bearing shaft and bearings centered through holes in sidewalls of the steel bracket; and spot welding the bearing housing to the sidewalls of the steel bracket.
