Wheel mount
A wheel mount, particularly for the front axle of a motor vehicle, has a basic body that has at least individual ones of the following accommodations or recesses: for accommodation of a kingpin for a wheel bearing, for connection of a brake caliper, for mounting of an upper wishbone fork, for mounting of an upper semi-trailing arm, for mounting of a tie rod, for mounting of a lower spring link, for mounting of a further lower wishbone, for positioning of a sensor, particularly an rpm sensor, for attachment of a sensor, particularly an rpm sensor, wherein the wheel mount is produced as a die-cast component made in one piece with these accommodations or recesses and connecting them with one another, preferably from light metal.
Link assembly
A link assembly for a vehicle, comprising a longitudinal link which has an upper link element and a lower link element, and at least one bushing receptacle for receiving a bearing bushing, wherein the bushing receptacle is at least partially integrated in at least one of the link elements, or is connectable as a separate part to the upper link element and the lower link element.
Link arm member
A link arm member of the present invention is used in a vehicle for connecting a suspension and a stabilizer, and includes: a support bar that is sealed by plastically deforming a hollow metal pipe at both ends thereof; and a housing part made of resin that is arranged at each end of the support bar and has a receiving hole for receiving a ball part of a ball stud to which the suspension or the stabilizer is fixed, wherein the housing part is formed by insert molding with the support bar.
CAST STEEL MEMBER
A cast steel member, comprising: 0.10 to 1.00% of C, greater than 0.7% to 2.0% or less of Si, 0.3 to 2.0% of Mn, 2.0% or less of Cu, residual Fe and inevitable impurities, as represented by weight %, wherein Si (%)<=C (%)10.
Suspension Assembly
A frame hanger bracket for pivotally mounting a suspension main support member to a vehicle frame features a pair of ear portions adapted to be attached to the vehicle frame. A bridge portion is positioned between the pair of ear portions and a pair of flanges extending from the bridge portion so that a space is defined that receives the proximal end of a vehicle main support member. Each of the pair of flanges includes a positioning member including a space that receives an end portion of a pivot fastener attacked to the main support member so that a double shear connection is formed with the pivot fastener. The bottom end of a shock absorber is pivotally connected to a distal end of the main support member while the upper end is pivotally connected to an outboard upper shock bracket. The shock bracket may be mounted to the vehicle frame with the ear portion of the frame hanger bracket sandwiched between the shock bracket and the vehicle frame rail. A casting may be machined to create such a mid bracket, or alternatively machined to make a rear shock bracket that connects directly to the vehicle frame.
CONNECTING ROD FOR A MULTIPLE CONNECTING ROD AXLE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A connecting rod for a multiple connecting rod axle of a motor vehicle, especially a lower wishbone for a multiple connecting rod rear axle, includes a substantially Y-shaped basic framework with a first arm, the free end region of which has a first seat for linking the connecting rod to an auxiliary frame or a vehicle body, with a second arm, the free end region of which has a second seat for linking the connecting rod to the auxiliary frame rod or the vehicle body, and with a third arm, the free end region of which has a third seat for linking the connecting rod to a wheel carrier. The connecting rod is manufactured in one piece with the seats.
Head bearing arrangement for connecting a spring leg to a vehicle body
A head bearing arrangement for connecting a spring strut to a vehicle body includes a head bearing housing and a spring plate on which a load-bearing spring of the spring strut is supported. The spring plate is arranged on the head bearing housing. The spring plate is arranged on the head bearing housing by way of a conical seat, wherein a toothing is inserted in the conical seat between the spring plate and the head bearing housing.
AUTOMOBILE UNDERCARRIAGE COMPONENT
An automobile undercarriage component has at least three elongated arms, each including a web and a rib having an inner wall surface. One of the three elongated arms is a first arm having a first one of the ribs and at least one of the three elongated arms is a second arm having a second one of the ribs. For each of the second ones of the ribs, the leading end of the respective second one of the ribs has a width in the direction parallel to the plane of the web and transverse to the direction of elongation of the arm which is narrower than the width of a leading end of the first one of the ribs, as an inner wall surface is disposed closer to an opposing outer wall surface in the respective second one of the ribs as compared to the first one of the ribs.
Control arm
A control arm for the rear wheel suspension of a car where the control arm includes a cup-shaped spring mount with branches projecting from the spring seat. The branches may be designed as closed channels or U-shaped channels. In the upper part of the control arm there are flanges projecting from each side thereof. The flanges include a reinforced area around the spring seat. The cup-shaped spring seat is reinforces with wedges on the inside thereof. The spring seat and branches form a stiff frame structure. Also described is a method for manufacturing the control arm by forging.
