PLANT-BASED HYDROALCOHOLIC FORMULATIONS FOR IMPROVING LIVER HEALTH
The invention features a composition comprising a botanical rich alcoholic beverage that retains its sensory qualities and health benefits stably over time in storage. Health effects of the beverage protect the liver from the effects of alcohol induced oxidative stress. The beverage product remains stable under normal storage conditions for at least 6 months, e.g., in excess of 2 years. Dried herbs/plants/fruits have been historically consumed based on the belief and often supportive scientific evidence that such botanicals protect from injurious exposures and contribute generally to health maintenance. A composition of the invention features key phytonutrients such as epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) in an alcoholic beverage stabilized to produce an alcoholic beverage that protects the liver against alcohol damage and presents with its unique taste and color.
WIDGETLESS CANNED NITROGEN INFUSED BEVERAGES
Disclosed herein are non-alcoholic nitrogen infused beverages and method for producing such beverages. The processes described herein comprise producing a mixed gas beverage supported with a foaming agent. Liquid nitrogen and carbon dioxide are added to the beverage, with the addition of a foaming agent, such as soapbark extract. In some embodiments, this process provides a nitrogen infused beverage with foaming and cascading capabilities that are equivalent to a nitro experience delivered through a widget can, without the need for the widget or the use of nitrous oxide.
COMPOSITION FOR ENRICHING COSMETIC AND/OR DERMATOLOGICAL FOOD PRODUCTS
The present invention relates to a liquid composition for enriching aqueous or hydro-alcoholic food, cosmetic and/or dermatological products. The invention also relates to the use of said liquid composition and to the method for producing said liquid composition.
Cannabinoid caffeinated drinks, powder, beans, and cannabinoid loose tea leaf
This application discloses a caffeinated drink with cannabinoids, wherein the drink retains its original taste and appearance. This application also discloses coffee powder with cannabinoids, roasted coffee beans with cannabinoids, and loose tea leaf with cannabinoids. Methods to the make and use of the above caffeinated drinks, coffee powder, coffee beans, and loose tea leaf are also disclosed.
Nutritional Compositions
Nutritional compositions for general stress reduction and recovery from stress containing certain amounts of five key ingredients: creatine, EGCG, L-carnitine, lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) essential oil, and passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) essential oil. Methods of reducing stress utilizing said compositions also is disclosed.
EXTRACTION CELL
An upward flow extraction method, apparatus, and extract are disclosed. The upward flow extraction method can comprise loading extraction material into an extraction cell having a bottom portion and a top portion; introducing a first aliquot of extraction medium through the bottom portion of the extraction cell; expelling gas from the extraction cell through the top portion of the extraction cell; closing the top portion of the extraction cell and increasing the pressure in the extraction cell as extraction medium flows into the bottom portion of the extraction cell; stopping the flow of extraction medium into the extraction cell; steeping the extraction material in the extraction medium under pressure to produce an extract; and introducing a second aliquot of extraction medium through the bottom portion of the extraction cell to push extract through top portion of the extraction cell.
Tea beverage and method for producing the same
Disclosed is a tea beverage and production method therefor. The tea beverage comprises tea, reverse-osmosis water which is deoxidized and deionized, and a food antioxidant, and the oxygen content in the freshly packaged tea beverage is ≦1 mg/L.
Decanoic acid derivatives and flavoring compositions
This invention relates to alkyl 5-acyloxydecanoate having formula (1) as follows: ##STR00001##
wherein R.sub.1 denotes a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having one to four carbon atoms, R.sub.2 denotes an alkyl group having one to four carbon atoms, with the proviso that the case where R.sub.1 is a methyl group and R.sub.2 is a methyl group or an ethyl group is excluded, which is capable of giving to food products or the like a characteristic flavor, or a sensory impression, of milk, fat or cream, and to the use of the same in flavoring compositions.
A Beverage
A method of producing tea syrup comprises contacting a plant material and/or plant extract with hot water to produce a tea. The method comprises filtering the tea to produce a tea filtrate, adding sugar to the tea filtrate, and then reducing the pH of either the tea or the tea filtrate, and thereby producing a tea syrup.
