An air conditioner for a vehicle includes: an air conditioning case, a fan, a motor, a cooling passage, a first rib and a second rib. The air conditioning case has an air passage through which air flows. The cooling passage supplies air to the motor from an opening provided in the air passage. The first rib is provided on an inner wall of the air passage upstream of the opening in a flow direction of air. The second rib is provided on the inner wall of the air passage upstream of the first rib in the flow direction of air. A stagnation space is defined between the first rib and the second rib where the air flowing through the air passage stagnates.

VEHICLE AIR CONDITIONER

Disclosed is a vehicle air conditioning device, which is an air conditioning device using an integrated heat pump system, and in which left and right independent air conditionings can be implemented in a simple structure such that the left and right air volumes may be automatically controlled, the ability to mix hot and cold air is improved, and sufficient space can be secured inside a vehicle.

HVAC driver-focus mode operation mechanism

A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) airflow distribution module is integrated with a driver-focus mode operation mechanism for a vehicle. The module utilizes: a driver face door to control airflow through driver face outlets; a passenger face door sub assembly to control airflow through a passenger center face outlet and a passenger side face outlet independently; a foot door sub assembly including a passenger front foot door and a main foot door to control airflow through a passenger front foot outlet independently from driver front and rear foot outlets and a passenger rear foot outlet; and a separator to separate airflow through passenger front and rear foot outlets. The present disclosure enables an HVAC airflow distribution module to focus airflow on the driver's seat and maintain the vehicle recirculation at a comfortable level when no passenger is present.

Air conditioner for vehicle

An air conditioner for a vehicle which can reduce ventilation resistance and secure a sufficient cross-sectional area of an air outlet to prevent deterioration in air volume. The air conditioner includes: an air-conditioning case having an air passageway formed therein and a plurality of air outlets formed at an exit thereof, and at least one heat exchanger disposed in the air passageway of the air-conditioning case to exchange heat with air passing through the air passageway, wherein the air outlet includes a center vent for discharging air-conditioned wind toward the center of a vehicle width and a side vent for discharging the air-conditioned wind toward the side of the vehicle width, and one between the center vent and the side vent is arranged in an upper side of the air-conditioning case, and the other is arranged in one side of the air-conditioning case in a back-and-forth direction of the vehicle.

AIR-CONDITIONING UNIT FOR VEHICLE

An air-conditioning unit includes: an air-conditioning case in which an in-case passage is formed; and a blower having a blower fan arranged in the in-case passage to rotate around a fan axis so as to blow out air sucked from one side in an axial direction. A rectifying mechanism is arranged downstream of the blower fan in a flow of air in the in-case passage to define a rectifying passage to rectify a swirling flow generated by the rotation of the blower fan relative to the air blown from the blower fan. The rectifying mechanism includes a contracting rectifying passage having an inlet into which the swirling flow flows and an outlet through which the rectified air flows out. A flow path area of the outlet is smaller than a flow path area of the inlet.

Door actuating device

A door actuating device includes a plurality of doors disposed in a flow channel for adjusting a degree of opening of the flow channel defined in an air conditioner case, the doors having respective door drive shafts, and a link unit actuating at least two of the doors. The link unit includes an actuator, a plate-like base member having two surfaces, a link mechanism having a plurality of levers mounted on at least either one of the two surfaces of the base member, and a rack member movably disposed on the base member and movable by a drive force transmitted from the actuator.

Airflow turning device for HVAC system

An airflow turning device with airflow control channels for an outlet of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) case that directs airflow to a plurality of different vehicle outlets. The airflow control channels extend from an inner upstream side of the outlet to an outer downstream side of the outlet. Different ones of the plurality of channels have different lengths to generate a varied pressure drop at the outer downstream side in response to airflow blown into the plurality of channels from the inner upstream side.

VENTILATION DEVICE

A ventilation device may include a housing, a fluid channel system, a heat exchanger, and a slider arrangement. The slider arrangement may include at least one first slider and at least one second slider arranged within the fluid channel system upstream of the heat exchanger and downstream of the heat exchanger respectively. The first and second slider may be guidable transversely with respect to at least one fluid flow. The first and second slider may each be actuatable. At least one of a volume flow and a mass flow of at least one fluid flow may be at least one of controllable and regulatable via actuation of the first slider. At least one of a predetermined fluid temperature and a predeterminable fluid temperature of a mixed fluid may be settable and at least two fluids may be mixable via actuation of the second slider.

AIR CONDITIONER FOR VEHICLE

An air conditioner for a vehicle includes: a casing to accommodate a cooler and a heater; a front temp door disposed in the casing to control a temperature of air supplied to a front seat zone; a rear temp door disposed under the front temp door to control a temperature of air supplied to a rear seat zone; and a rear vent disposed at a lower portion of the casing to discharge air to the rear seat zone.
