An air handling system for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system of a motor vehicle includes a conduit configured to convey air from the air handling system to a vent of the air handling system. A control door is rotatably disposed in the conduit. The control door selectively rotates between a first position and a second position. The first position blocks passage of the air flowing through the conduit. The second position blocks passage of the air flowing through a first portion of the conduit and allows the air to flow through a second portion of the conduit. A control feature is disposed in the second portion of the conduit to control at least one of a volumetric flow rate and a pressure of the air flowing through the second portion.

Air-conditioning unit for vehicle

An air-conditioning unit for a vehicle includes an air conditioning case, a blower, and a rectifying mechanism. The blower has a blower fan rotating around a fan axis and arranged in an in-case passage of the air conditioning case, and blows out air drawn from one side in an axial direction of the fan axis by rotation of the blower fan. The rectifying mechanism is arranged downstream of the blower fan in the in-case passage, and the air passes through the rectifying mechanism. The blower fan is arranged so that the other side of the fan axis that is opposite to the one side extends toward a downstream side of the in-case passage. The rectifying mechanism suppresses a swirling flow generated by the rotation of the blower fan in the air blown out from the blower fan as compared with the blown-out air prior to flowing into the rectifying mechanism.

AIR CONDITIONER FOR VEHICLE

Disclosed is an air conditioner for a vehicle, the air conditioner having an improved guide structure capable of increasing an air volume by preventing a collision between air flowing through an upper passage and air flowing through a lower passage. The air conditioner for a vehicle comprises: an air conditioning case having an air passage formed therein and an air outlet which includes a defrost vent and a face vent; and a heat exchanger for cooling and a heat exchanger for heating, which are provided in the air passage of the air conditioning case. The air conditioner for the vehicle further comprises: a temperature door arranged between the heat exchanger for cooling and the heat exchanger for heating in order to adjust the degree to which cold air, which has passed through the heat exchanger for cooling, is heated by the heat exchanger for heating; a cold air passage through which cold air that has passed through the heat exchanger for cooling bypasses the heat exchanger for heating; a warm air passage through which cold air that has passed through the heat exchanger for cooling passes through the heat exchanger for heating; a cold air guide unit for guiding the cold air downstream of the heat exchanger for cooling; and a warm air guide unit for guiding the warm air downstream of the heat exchanger for heating.

PASSAGE OPENING AND CLOSING DEVICE

The passage opening and closing device includes a casing in which an opening edge forms an opening of an air passage, and a sliding door slidably movable inside the casing to open and close the opening. A door end part of the sliding door faces a door facing wall of the opening edge when the sliding door is positioned at a closed position where the sliding door closes the opening. A gap flow-path extending in the door moving direction is formed between the door facing wall and the door end part. A distance between the door end part and the door facing wall decreases downstream in air flow in the gap flow-path so that the gap flow-path is a convergent flow path.
