AUTO START/STOP CONTROL BASED ON COOLED SEAT SIGNAL SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Systems and methods for managing auto start of a vehicle during an auto-stop condition may include: determining an operational status of a vehicle climate control system; receiving a target air outlet temperature from the vehicle climate control system; receiving data indicating a state of a cooled seat of the vehicle; and inhibiting a start-engine command to restart an internal combustion engine of the vehicle because of a cabin cooling requirement when the data indicates that the cooled seat of the vehicle is activated.

Vehicle air conditioning device

A vehicle air conditioning device includes a compressor and a controller. The controller is configured to set an upper limit value of the rotation speed of the compressor based on a combination of whether the speed of the vehicle is lower than a predetermined speed and whether a rotation speed of a fan device for a condenser is lower than a predetermined rotation speed.

SHIFT SHOCK REDUCTION CONTROL METHOD OF AMT VEHICLE

An automated manual transmission (AMT) shift shock reduction control method may include a compressor delay control that is configured to keep an operation of a compressor as a non-operation state until a delay time is reached during a shift control, when an air conditioner signal and a shift signal are detected by an Engine Management System (EMS).

Systems and Methods for Controlling a Vehicle HVAC System

Disclosed are climate systems for vehicles and methods for controlling the climate systems. In some implementations, a climate system includes: (1) a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature within the compartment of the vehicle; (2) a first compressor powered by an engine of the vehicle to compress a refrigerant; (3) a second compressor driven by an electric motor to compress the refrigerant; and (4) a controller electrically coupled to the first compressor and the second compressor. The controller configured to: (1) calculate a thermal load of the compartment based on a difference between a desired temperature and a measured temperature; and, (2) based on the calculated load, selectively activate: (i) the engine, (ii) the first compressor, and/or (iii) the second compressor.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF TRANSPORT REFRIGERATION UNIT

A transport refrigeration unit and a method for controlling the transport refrigeration unit, wherein the transport refrigeration unit has a controller device for operating a compressor of the transport refrigeration unit with a continuously-variable speed, which allows the compressor to run continuously but with a smooth gradient range of speed variations. The controller device allows the transport refrigeration unit to have a start-stop operation stage, continuous run operation stage, and/or a cycle-sentry operation stage.

Methods and systems for coordinating operation of two or more transport refrigeration systems (TRSs) are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes a controller determining whether the first transport unit is stationary. The method also includes the controller identifying whether the first transport unit is in close proximity of a second transport unit when the controller determines that the transport unit is stationary. Also, the method includes the controller determining an executive control strategy for controlling the first TRS in coordination with a second TRS when the controller identifies that the first transport unit is in close proximity of the second transport unit. Further, the method includes the controller operating the first TRS based on the executive control strategy.

ELECTRIFIED VEHICLE THERMAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

A vehicle thermal management system including a refrigerant circuit, a coolant circuit, a chiller, and a controller is provided. The refrigerant circuit may include an electric air conditioning (eAC) compressor and a pressure sensor. The coolant circuit may include a high-voltage battery. The chiller selectively thermally links the circuits. The controller may be programmed to, responsive to receipt of a sensor signal indicating refrigerant pressure exiting the eAC compressor is greater than a high threshold, output a pressure sensor fault error indicating the pressure sensor is faulty. The system may further include a timer to monitor operational timing of the eAC compressor. The controller may be further programmed to direct the system to operate without monitoring the eAC compressor responsive to the timer indicating the eAC compressor has been off for a time-period less than a time threshold reflective of the eAC compressor not being in an at rest state.

Vehicle air conditioner

A vehicle air conditioner has a compressor, a radiator, a pressure reducer, a cooling heat exchanger, a temperature detector, and a prohibition request output part. The compressor draws and discharges a refrigerant. The radiator dissipates heat of the refrigerant. The pressure reducer decompresses and expands the refrigerant. The cooling heat exchanger cools an air blown into a vehicle compartment. The temperature detector detects a temperature of the cooling heat exchanger. The prohibition request output part outputs a request, which prohibits the idle stop control, to an idle stop controller when the engine is operated. The request prohibits the idle stop control until the temperature of the cooling heat exchanger falls to a temperature being enough cool to cool the air and a required cooling time elapses. The required cooling time is estimated to be required to make a passenger feel cool by the air.
