Vehicular rear slider window assembly with upper rail filler having at least one angled end
A vehicular slider window assembly for a vehicle includes at least one fixed window panel and a movable window panel that is movable along an upper rail and a lower rail at the at least one fixed window panel between a closed position and an opened position. The upper rail includes a channel, and a filler is disposed in the channel of the upper rail. The filler includes a filler body having opposite side walls and at least one obliquely angled end, and the filler includes compressible and flexible and deformable elements along respective ones of the side walls. The obliquely angled end or ends of the filler provide an indication as to whether the filler is disposed in the channel of the upper rail at the correct orientation relative to the upper rail or the incorrect orientation relative to the upper rail.
SEALING SYSTEM FOR MOVABLE WINDOW OF VEHICULAR REAR WINDOW ASSEMBLY
A method of manufacturing a vehicular slider window assembly includes providing at least one fixed window panel, attaching upper and lower rails at the fixed window panel, and movably disposing a movable window panel at the upper and lower rails. Elongated sealing portions are formed by forming base portions of the respective elongated sealing portions via a first shot injection molding process using a polypropylene material, and by forming elongated sealing lips along the respective base portions via a second shot injection molding process using a thermoplastic elastomer. The elongated sealing portions are joined at adjacent ends to form a perimeter seal. The perimeter seal is adhesively attached at a surface of fixed window panel so as to circumscribe the opening and to seal against a surface of the movable window panel when the movable window panel is in the closed position.
Rear slider window assembly
A rear slider window assembly for a vehicle includes a movable window panel that is movable along channels of a fixed window panel via guide pins. A first guide pin moves along a first channel, which as a slot established therealong and therethrough. An electrical connector electrically connects electrical terminals at the fixed window panel to electrical terminals at the movable window panel, and includes a pin follower that extends through the slot of the first channel to electrically connect to a flexible cable connected to terminals at the fixed window panel and to electrical terminals at the movable window panel. The lower rail may include a water drainage element including (i) a hole established through the lower rail and (ii) a drainage receiving conduit attached at the fixed window panel beneath the hole of the lower rail and spaced from the lower rail.
Vehicle convertible top systems
A vehicle includes a vehicle body including a truck bed at least partially defining a cargo area, a vehicle interior with passenger seating, and a multi-component hard top assembly configured to selectively and removably couple to the vehicle body to provide an enclosed configuration at least partially enclosing the vehicle interior. The multi-component hard top assembly includes a rear window assembly configured to selectively and removably couple to the vehicle body.
Vehicular rear slider window assembly with retaining element
A vehicular rear slider window assembly includes a fixed window panel having an inner side and an outer side, an upper rail and a lower rail attached at the inner side, and a movable window panel having a lower perimeter edge received in a channel of the lower rail and an upper perimeter edge received in a channel of the upper rail. The lower rail includes a first attaching surface that attaches at the inner side and a second attaching surface opposite the first attaching surface. A retaining element is attached along the lower rail and at the second attaching surface. The retaining element includes an attaching portion that attaches at the second attaching surface and a retaining portion that extends at least partially across the channel of the lower rail to limit vertical movement of the movable window panel relative to the upper and lower rails.
Vehicular rear window assembly with continuous heater trace
A window assembly for a vehicle includes a window panel that has an electrically conductive trace established at a surface of the window panel. The electrically conductive trace includes a single continuous electrically conductive trace that has a positive end for electrically connecting to a positive terminal and a negative end for electrically connecting to a negative terminal. The electrically conductive trace includes a plurality of spaced apart trace segments disposed across the surface of the window panel and a plurality of connecting trace segments that electrically connect adjacent ends of adjacent trace segments, with each connecting trace segment electrically connecting to adjacent ends of only two adjacent trace segments. An electrical connector is connected to the positive and negative terminals at the window panel to provide electrical power to the electrically conductive trace. The provided electrical power may be from a 48 volt power supply of the vehicle.
Sliding window assembly
A sliding window assembly for a vehicle, a cable drive system for a vehicle, and methods of operating the same, are disclosed. The sliding window assembly includes a track adapted to be coupled to the vehicle, and a sliding panel movable relative to the track between an open position and a closed position. A heating element is coupled to the sliding panel for heating the sliding panel. The sliding window assembly further includes a conductive cable coupled to the sliding panel and the heating element. The conductive cable is configured to transfer electrical current to energize the heating element and to undergo mechanical force to move the sliding panel relative to the track between the open and closed positions.
Slider window assembly with integrated lighting
A rear window assembly for a vehicle includes a fixed window panel. The rear window assembly may be a rear slider window assembly, with the fixed window panel fixed relative to a frame portion and defining an opening, and with a movable window panel movable along the frame portion between a closed position and an opened position. A lighting device is disposed at an inner surface of the fixed window panel and includes an interior lighting element that is operable to emit light that passes through a light transmissive portion of a housing of the lighting device so as to illuminate an interior cabin of the vehicle. The lighting device may also include an exterior lighting element that is operable to emit light that passes through the fixed window panel so as to be viewable by a person viewing the slider window assembly from exterior and rearward of the vehicle.
APPARATUS FOR WINDOW
An apparatus for window used for moving a sliding window plate between an insertion position to be inserted into an opening portion of a fixed window plate, an extraction position to be extracted from the opening portion, and an open position to be shifted in a slide direction from the extraction position and to uncover the opening portion, includes a rotary member rotatably supported with respect to the sliding window plate; a drive member moved in a predetermined direction with respect to the sliding window plate; a fixation guide configured to convert a movement of the drive member in the predetermined direction with respect to the sliding window plate into a movement of the sliding window plate in an extraction/insertion direction with respect to the fixed window plate; and a wire configured to pull and move the drive member in the predetermined direction.
SLIDER WINDOW ASSEMBLY WITH INTEGRATED CAMERA
A slider window assembly for a vehicle includes a frame portion having an upper rail and a lower rail fixedly attached to at least one fixed window panel, with the at least one fixed window panel defining an opening.
