SLIDER WINDOW ASSEMBLY WITH MOVABLE PANEL DRIVE SYSTEM
A vehicular slider window assembly includes a frame portion having an upper rail and a lower rail, a fixed window panel, and a movable window panel that is movable along the rails between an opened position and a closed position. A drive system is operable to move the movable window panel between the opened position and the closed position. The drive system includes a single flexible drive element that, when the drive system is actuated to move the window panel in one direction, the flexible drive element pulls the movable window panel along the rails, and when the drive system is actuated to move the window panel in the opposite direction, the flexible drive element pushes the movable window panel along the rails. The lower rail includes guide structure that limits flexing of the flexible drive element when the flexible drive element pushes the movable window panel along the rails.
Sealing system for movable window of vehicular rear window assembly
A vehicular slider window assembly includes at least one fixed window panel having an opening, and upper and lower rails fixedly disposed at the at least one fixed window panel. A movable window panel is movable along the rails between a closed position and an opened position. A perimeter seal is disposed at a surface of the fixed window panel, with the perimeter seal providing a continuous sealing element that circumscribes the opening and that is configured to seal against a surface of the movable window panel when the movable window panel is closed. The perimeter seal includes elongated sealing portions having respective elongated sealing lips disposed along respective base portions. The perimeter seal is formed via a multi-shot injection molding process, with the base portions formed via a first shot injection molding process and the sealing lips formed along the base portions via a second shot injection molding process.
Sealing system for movable window of vehicular rear slider window assembly
A vehicular slider window assembly includes a movable window panel that is movable along rails at an opening of a fixed window panel. A perimeter seal is disposed at a surface of the fixed window panel and circumscribes the opening and is configured to seal against a surface of the movable window panel when the movable window panel is in a closed position. The perimeter seal includes elongated sealing portions joined at respective corner regions, with adjacent end regions of attachment elements of the sealing portions being spaced from one another at the respective corner regions such that there is a gap between the adjacent end regions. With the attachment elements attached at the surface of the fixed window panel, a sealant is dispensed into the gaps via passageways to seal the corner regions of the perimeter seal at the fixed window panel.
Flush glass apparatus
A flush glass apparatus includes a fixed glass having an opening, an operation glass configured to open and close the opening of the fixed glass, a lower rail configured to slidably support a lower portion of the operation glass, a sealing member provided below the lower rail to seal a gap between an inner surface of the fixed glass and a vehicle body, one or more upper drain holes provided on the lower rail to discharge rainwater on the lower rail to a buffer area between the lower rail and the sealing member, and a drain induction member interposed between the inner surface of the fixed glass and the sealing member and providing a lower drain hole to discharge rainwater in the buffer area to the outside.
Dual slider window assembly
A rear slider window assembly for a vehicle includes an upper rail and a lower rail, with a fixed window panel having at least one glass panel having an inner surface and an outer surface and an opening between opposite side panel portions of the fixed window panel. The upper rail is attached at the inner surface of the fixed window panel at an upper region of the fixed window panel and above the opening. The lower rail is attached at the inner surface of the fixed window panel at a lower region of the fixed window panel and below the opening. First and second movable window panels are movable along the upper and lower rails between a closed position, where the movable window panels cooperate to close the opening, and an opened position, where both movable panels move away from one another to open the opening.
VEHICULAR WINDOW ASSEMBLY WITH MAGNETIC CONNECTOR
A window assembly for a vehicle includes a window panel having an electrically conductive element disposed thereat. An electrical connector is attached at the window panel and is electrically conductively connected to the electrically conductive element. The electrical connector includes a ferromagnetic material. The electrical connector is attached at the window panel via solder, and the electrical connector is held in place via an electromagnet during the soldering process.
Slider window assembly with movable panel drive system
A vehicular slider window assembly includes a frame portion, a fixed window panel fixed relative to the frame portion, and a movable window panel. A drive system is operable to move the movable window panel between an opened position and a closed position. The drive system includes (i) a housing attached at the fixed window panel, (ii) a drive motor disposed in the housing, (iii) a threaded shaft disposed in the housing and rotatably driven by the drive motor, (iv) a connecting element that threadedly receives the threaded shaft therethrough and (v) a window connector that is affixed to the movable window panel and that pivotally connects to the connecting element. Rotation of the threaded shaft imparts a translational movement of the connecting element along the threaded shaft to move the movable window panel between the opened and closed positions.
VEHICLE COMPRISING A SELECTIVELY OPENABLE AND CLOSABLE VENT DUCT AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A vehicle that comprises a passenger compartment comprising a plurality of door openings. The vehicle also includes a plurality of selectively openable and closable doors movably disposed in the door openings. The vehicle also includes a selectively openable and closable vent duct. The vehicle further includes a controller configured to selectively open and close the selectively openable and closable vent duct, the controller configured to control an open condition of the vent duct during a door close event or a door open event of one of the doors. The vehicle may use the controller to sense the door close event or the door open event for at least one of the doors and a vehicle state; determine whether an opening of a predetermined first cross-sectional area exists in that state; and if not, use the controller to control the open condition thereby providing the predetermined first cross-sectional area by opening the vent duct.
Power slide window
An opening formed in a window glass pane is smoothly opened and closed by a slide panel slidingly driven along a panel surface of the window glass pane and along a direction orthogonal to the panel surface. The guide rail (4) is provided with a pin guide groove (27) including a groove main portion (27a) and a groove extension portion (27b). A slider (20) is provided with a pin drive groove (30) extending in a direction crossing the panel surface. The slide panel is provided with at least one pin (16) projecting into the pin drive groove and the pin guide groove so that the slide panel is positioned in a closed position when the pin is positioned in the groove extension portion, and in an open position when the pin is positioned in the groove main portion.
Sliding vehicle window having minimal perimeter seal
A vehicle includes a window having an internal opening defined by an angled edge forming a clear space generally shaped as a truncated pyramid. An operable window panel is slidable relative to the internal opening to define open and closed positions. A compressible elastic sealing member is disposed along the angled edge, wherein the sealing member defines a substantially convex profile when the operable window panel in the open position. A guide assembly is positioned adjacent an interior surface of the window and adapted to guide the operable window panel between the open and closed positions. The closed position is defined by an outer surface of the operable window panel being co-planar with an exterior surface of the window. The closed position is further characterized by the sealing member being deformed to occupy at least the seam defined between the window and the operable window panel.
