Window shade system with radiant heating
Systems are provided for radiant heating by a window shade. A window shade system for a window of an enclosed space includes a window shade configured to cover at least a portion of the window. A radiant heating fabric extends over at least a portion of the window shade. A power supply supplies electric current to the radiant heating fabric.
Systems and methods for automatically activating a sunshade for a vehicle
Methods and systems for controlling a sunshade of a vehicle. The methods and systems receive a route plan from a first location to a second location, predict a sun parameter indicative of sun glare on the window for the route plan based on solar direction and vehicle heading at distributed locations throughout the route plan, and activate the sunshade based on the sun parameter so as to shade the window.
Electric Spiraling Piston and Systems Devices Apparatuses and Methods Utilizing Same
Disclosed are an electric spiraling piston and systems, devices, apparatuses, and methods utilizing same. An electric spiraling piston includes a drum around which the piston spirals as it is being retracted. A spinning axis of the drum is functionally connected to the drive shaft of a motor, such that motor torque is relayed to the axis. The axis, when spinning with the drum in a first direction, causes the piston to un-spiral and extend out of a housingwhile rounding its cross sectionto assume a straight, rigid position/orientation. The Axis, when spinning with the drum in a second direction, causes the piston to be retracted back into the housingwhile flattening its cross sectionto assume a spiral orientation within the housing.
Adjustable Polar Blind Assembly for a Window
An adjustable polar blind assembly for window includes a 90-degrees polarization filter, an adjustable shade unit, a 0-degrees polarization filter. The 90-degrees polarization filter, which is positioned adjacent to a window, is mounted offset of the adjustable shade unit. The 0-degrees polarization filter is mounted offset of the adjustable shade unit, opposite of the 90-degrees polarization filter. Moreover, the angles of polarization for the 0-degrees polarization filter and the 90-degrees polarization filter are oriented perpendicular to one another. The adjustable shade unit includes a retractable roller mechanism, a 45-degrees polarization filter, and a transparent filter. The 45-degrees polarization filter that has an angle of polarization of 45 degrees relative to the perpendicularly oriented filters is connected to the retractable roller mechanism by the transparent filter. The 45-degrees polarization filter is in optical communication with the perpendicularly oriented filters to provide different light intensities within the adjustable polar blind assembly.
Motorized window shades for RVs
A motorized shade assembly is provided having a discontinuous web extending between two rollers, one of which is motorized and the other is tensioned or biased toward rotation away from the other roller. The roller motor can be mounted inside of one of the rollers, and the tensioning device, such as a torsion spring, can be mounted inside of the other roller. The web includes a shade portion and a strap portion, with a rigid draw bar at the junction of those portions. Rotation of the rollers causes the strap portion to wrap over one of the rollers as the shade portion unwraps from the other roller. The shade assembly can be positioned between an inclined or curved vehicle window and an interior shroud for the window, such as found with a cab-over window of a Class B motorhome. The draw bar and fasteners connecting the strap to the draw bar facilitate movement of the shade when in contact with the shroud. Friction reducing tape or surface treatment on the periphery of the window opening in the shroud can also facilitate movement of the shade when in contact with the shroud. Motor actuation can be hardwired to a desired location within the vehicle, or wirelessly controlled by the user, as with an RF device.
Method and system for a vehicle sanitizing mode
Methods and systems are provided for heat sanitizing a vehicle. In one example, a method may include, responsive to receiving a request for cleaning an interior of a vehicle, adjusting a position of a sun shade based on at least one of an ambient temperature outside of the vehicle and a sun load of the vehicle, and operating a heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system to heat the interior above an upper threshold temperature for a first threshold duration. In this way, the HVAC system may be advantageously used to expose the vehicle interior to temperatures that kill or inactive microbes.
SHADING SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT
Shading system having at least one flexible planar structure mounted such that it can be wound onto at least one winding shaft between a wound-on position of rest and at least one at least partially extended functional position and unwound therefrom. A plurality of strip sections extend in parallel with respect to one another and have different translucency values. A control device changes the translucency of the planar structure through spatial displacement of the planar structure. Two flexible planar structures are provided and are displaceable in parallel or transversely. Each planar structure is provided with strip sections which run longitudinally or transversely and have different translucency values. The control device acts mechanically on at least one planar structure and has at least one manually-operated actuator element.
VEHICLE AUTOMATIC WINDOW SUNSCREENS
Vehicle automatic window sunscreens are provided, which may comprise a plurality of roller shades for the windows of a vehicle. Sunscreens are installed for the side windows of the vehicle in addition to the windshield and rear window. The sunscreens block or filter radiant energy to reduce the effects of sunlight and heat on occupants and interior components of, and personal property in, the vehicle. The sunscreens protect infants and children if they are forgotten and left in the vehicle during sunny, hot days.
MODE ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM AND MODE ADJUSTMENT METHOD
A mode adjustment system capable of changing interior in a conveyance with less effort and time includes an input device that allows an occupant to select mode information in which position information of a seat and a shade are registered in advance, a mode switching device that receives the mode information from the input device and switches the positions of the seat and the shade based on the mode information, a seat adjustment device, and a shade adjustment device. The mode switching device includes a seat movement amount calculator calculating the movement amount of the seat and a shade movement amount calculator calculating the movement amount of the shade, the seat adjustment device adjusts the position of the seat based on the calculated movement amount of the seat, and the shade adjustment device adjusts the position of the shade based on the calculated movement amount of the shade.
