Panel and open roof construction provided therewith
A panel for use in an open roof construction for a vehicle comprises a substantially rectangular panel main body made of transparent material, and at least one elongated reinforcing bracket positioned at least partly in the vicinity of an edge of said panel main body and firmly connected thereto. The panel bracket is made of a material which is thinner than that of the material of the panel main body and includes a structure to fix the reinforcing bracket to an operating mechanism configured to support the panel and control movements thereof. The edge of the panel main body comprises at least an inward recess and the reinforcing bracket comprises at least an upward step into the recess. The upward step extends along at least a portion of the recess and is dimensioned to accommodate a part of the operating mechanism under it.
Glazed panel with a polymer periphery, reinforcement armatures and securing armatures
A glazed panel includes a glass panel, two longitudinal reinforcement armatures in order to reinforce the glass panel against deformations by flexure, and two longitudinal securing armatures in order to secure the glazed panel in an outer structure provided for this purpose. The armatures can be overmolded in a polymer material which is arranged on the periphery of the glass panel. The two reinforcement armatures and the two securing armatures are joined in pairs by their longitudinal ends in order to form a frame by means of an assembly by nesting, optionally using an intermediate part. This measure makes it possible to reduce the concentrations of stresses in the corners of the glass panel, and simplifies the molding operation during the production of the glazed panel.
Open roof construction for a vehicle
An open roof construction for a vehicle comprises at least a movable lever to which, by means of a pin-like member, a slide shoe is connected that, for defining a movement of the movable lever, cooperates with and moves longitudinally along a guide. The pin-like member at a first end is connected to said lever and at a second end is connected to said slide shoe and the guide and slide shoe are provided with at least one pair of cooperating guide part and slide shoe part. The pin-like member at its second end is provided with an enlarged head configured to engage the slide shoe at a side thereof facing away from the lever. The dimensions of the enlarged head are such that, as seen in a direction from the enlarged head towards the lever, at least part of said enlarged head overlaps at least one guide part.
Front connecting rod for sunroof linkage, sunroof linkage and sunroof assembly
A front connecting rod for a sunroof linkage, a sunroof linkage, and a sunroof assembly. The sunroof linkage is configured to drive front glass of a sunroof assembly to slide relative to rear glass, and the front connecting rod is configured to connect a glass-supporting rod of the sunroof linkage to a front slider. The front connecting rod may have an anti-turn-over structure, configured to be matched in shape to a sealing strip disposed on a peripheral edge of the rear glass, so as to prevent the sealing strip from turning over when the sunroof linkage drives the front glass to slide. The front connecting rod for a present sunroof linkage enables a sunroof to open to the maximum extent, and during sliding will not cause the sealing strip of the rear glass to be turned over and folded.
Movable panel assemblies
A vehicle includes a roof, an opening in the roof, and a window that is located forward from the opening, wherein the window has an upper end and the window is free from non-translucent structures near the upper end. A movable panel is connected to the roof for movement forward and rearward relative to the roof between a closed position and an open position. A seal is connected to the movable panel. The seal engages the window when the movable panel is in the closed position and the seal is disengaged from the window when the movable panel is in the open position.
Open roof construction for a vehicle
An open roof construction for a vehicle having at least one opening in the fixed roof, includes a stationary part for attachment to the roof. It carries at least two guide rails alongside the roof opening. At least one closure having a front and a rear side is supported by an operating mechanism guided on the guide rails. The closure is adjustable between a closed position, in which it closes the roof opening, and an open position in which it is at least partly moved out of the roof opening. The operating mechanism includes at least one first support member adjustably supporting the closure near its front side, and at least adjustable second support members adjustably supporting the closure a distance behind the front side. Each support member includes two separate drive sources to be able to adjust each support member independently in horizontal and vertical direction.
Slider unit and roof system
A slider unit for a roof system of a motor vehicle has a slide body and a mounting unit which has a recess in which the slide body is accommodated. The slide body is mounted in the mounting unit such that, relative to the mounting unit, the slide body is movable in at least two directions in each case limited to a predefined distance and/or is pivotable about two axes limited to a predefined angle.
Sunroof Unit
Increase of an overall thickness of a sunroof unit is suppressed even when a flange portion depending from a side edge of an opening of a roof has a large height. A rear panel contacts an edge of an opening via a rear seal portion. The rear seal portion includes a first seal member mounted to a rear molded part in a rear portion of the opening and a second seal member extending in a fore and aft direction and supported by a frame via a support bracket to form a passage for a stay between the second seal member and the rear molded part in a side portion of the opening. The frame includes a pair of guide walls disposed more inboard than a side edge of the opening and slidably guiding the slider in the fore and aft direction and a vertical wall formed to stand upright at a position more outboard than the side edge of the opening. The support bracket has a U-shaped cross section opened upward and is disposed to receive a flange portion depending from the side edge of the opening.
Support mechanism for an open-roof assembly in a vehicle roof
A support mechanism for an open-roof assembly, comprising a moveable panel, comprises at least one of a front flexible portion and a rear flexible portion. A guide assembly of the open-roof assembly comprises an elongated guide rail extending in a longitudinal direction, a front mechanism slideably arranged in the guide rail and a rear mechanism arranged in the guide rail. The front mechanism and the rear mechanism are provided with means for providing a relatively high mechanism stiffness, while the at least one of the front and rear flexible portions is provided with a relatively low bending stiffness in the width direction and with a relatively low rotational stiffness in respective main directions such that orientation deviations between the panel support assembly and the guide assembly result in larger rotational deformation in the at least one of the respective flexible portions than in the respective mechanisms.
Guide rail for a guide assembly for an open-roof system
A guide assembly of an open roof assembly comprises a center rail element. The center rail element comprises a first wall member and a second wall member, the second wall member being arranged substantially parallel to the first wall member. A transverse wall member extends between the first wall member and the second wall member. A first guide channel is arranged in the first wall member and a second guide channel is arranged in the second wall member. A cable channel is provided on the transverse wall and is arranged between the first guide channel and the second guide channel. Thus, a modular center rail element is provided that may be used with all vehicle types without further vehicle specific adaptation.
