Linkage Flap Arrangement Having A Main Cover Panel And An Additional Cover Panel
A linkage flap arrangement of a convertible vehicle includes a flap bearing mounted permanently to the vehicle. A cover panel arrangement is pivotably mounted to the vehicle by the flap bearing. The cover panel arrangement is movable between a closed position closing a linkage opening of the vehicle and an open position releasing the linkage opening and includes a main cover panel and an additional cover panel. The additional cover panel is pivotable with respect to the main cover panel and is driven by a drive motor arranged at the flap bearing. The drive motor drives a cover panel transmission when pivoting the cover panel arrangement with respect to the flap bearing, the cover panel transmission being arranged at the cover panel arrangement and driving the additional cover panel in order to pivot it with respect to the main cover panel.
Openable vehicle roof structure
An openable roof includes an expandable and retractable awning frame, and an awning cloth for covering the outside of the awning frame. The awning frame is provided with an awning bow which supports the awning cloth when the awning frame is expanded. The awning bow includes a pair of left and right leg portions extending in up and down directions, and an upper side portion which connects between upper ends of the leg portions in a vehicle width direction. Each of the leg portions of the awning bow is formed with two or more bent parts. At least one pair of the bent parts on each of the leg portions are configured such that moments generated in the awning bow due to a tensile force exerted from the awning cloth when the openable roof is in an expanded state act in such directions as to cancel out each other.
Articulation device between arms of a rod assembly of a folding roof
Articulation device between arms of a rod assembly of a folding roof for a passenger vehicle, which roof may be adjusted between a closed position which spans a passenger compartment and an open position in which the roof may be stored in a rear space of the vehicle. The arms held in position by a rivet device which includes a blind rivet and a rivet shaft which extends through the arms.
Convertible Vehicle Top Having A Storage Space Lid
A top of a convertible vehicle is includes a top linkage adjustable between a closed position and a storage position. The top linkage is stored in a rear-side top storage space, which is closable by a storage space lid, which is pivotably mounted on a vehicle-fixed single-part or multipart main bearing via a link mechanism on each of its two sides with respect to a vertical longitudinal center plane of the top. The top linkage has a linkage mechanism on each of its two sides with respect to the vertical longitudinal center plane of the top. Each linkage mechanism is pivotably mounted on the respective vehicle-fixed main bearing driven by a main drive arranged on the main bearing. The link mechanisms of the storage space lid are arranged on both sides and driven by the main drive arranged on the respective main bearing.
CONVERTIBLE TOP HAVING COUPLED MULTI-BAR ARRANGEMENTS
A convertible top having a first and second curved roof shell, and a convertible top linkage, by which the two roof shells are displaceable between a cover position, which spans a vehicle interior and in which two roof shells are disposed one behind the other in the longitudinal roof direction, and a storage position, which opens the vehicle interior towards the top and in which the two roof shells are received by a convertible top storage space and disposed one behind the other in an upright position in the same curve direction. The convertible top a link arrangement on each side in relation to a vertical longitudinal center convertible-top plane, the link arrangements each having a first multi-bar arrangement, a second multi-bar arrangement, which is driven by the first multi-bar arrangement, and a main bearing, on which the first multi-bar arrangement is articulated and adjustable in height.
Targa and retractable vehicle tops and related methods
A vehicle top can comprise a targa top and a retractable top. The retractable top can comprise fabric and a frame. The targa top and the retractable top can be configured to be coupled to a vehicle such that the targa top overlies at least one front seat of the vehicle and the retractable top is pivotable between deployed and retracted positions. The fabric of the retractable top can be disposed closer to the targa top and overlie more of the vehicle when the retractable top is in the deployed position than when the retractable top is in the retracted position.
