A support bracket assembly configured to couple to a vehicle body and support a collapsed articulating frame of a vehicle soft top assembly is provided. The support bracket assembly includes a support bracket having a main body portion having a slot formed therein and configured to couple to the vehicle body, and a receiving portion coupled to the main body portion and configured to receive at least a portion of the collapsed articulating frame therein. A strap is configured to be inserted through the slot and wrapped around the collapsed articulating frame to facilitate securing the collapsed articulating frame within the receiving portion and preventing relative movement of the collapsed articulating frame when the vehicle is in motion.
SOFT TOP WINDOW SUPPORTS AND VEHICLES WITH SOFT TOP WINDOW SUPPORTS
Supports for rear windows and rear window panels of a soft top structure may include a first support arm pivotably coupled to a portion of a vehicle. A second support arm may be pivotably coupled to the first support arm, and may further be pivotably coupled to a rear window panel of the soft top structure. The first support arm and the second support arm can be connected to pivot relative to each other to form an angle less than 180 in an open position, and an angle substantially greater than 180 in a closed position. An articulating slanted back soft top assembly for 4-door and 2-door SUVs. A fabric cover is supported by a frame that is at least partially articulatable from at least a closed position to at least one open air position. The frame includes at least one forward fabric support bow member and at least one rearward fabric support bow member. The rear fabric support bow member being positioned when in the closed position in a manner which allows the fabric to clear a sport bar or roll bar member of a vehicle in the closed position such that a rear portion of the top is angled from the vertical when viewing the vehicle from the side.
Lift assist mechanism for soft top
A frame and soft top assembly which includes lift assist and improved fabric management. The assembly includes a pair of front arms pivotally attached to rear side rails and are attached to the vehicle roll bar. A plurality of fabric control bows connected with pivot links provide fabric control to the top material during pivoting of the front side rails. A pair of bow pivot links are pivotally connected to the rear side rail. A rear gas strut and a front gas strut are attached longitudinally to either side of the pair of bow pivot links, one providing lift assistance at the start of the pivotal opening of the sunroof while the other of the struts gets loaded as the top is deployed and buffers the closing of the roof which also loads the strut to provide assistance in the closing direction when it is time to close the sunroof.

A fabric cover is supported by a frame that is at least partially articulatable from at least a closed position to at least one open air position. The top linkage is stored in a rear-side top storage space, which is closable by a storage space lid, which is pivotably mounted on a vehicle-fixed single-part or multipart main bearing via a link mechanism on each of its two sides with respect to a vertical longitudinal center plane of the top. The top linkage has a linkage mechanism on each of its two sides with respect to the vertical longitudinal center plane of the top. Each linkage mechanism is pivotably mounted on the respective vehicle-fixed main bearing driven by a main drive arranged on the main bearing. The link mechanisms of the storage space lid are arranged on both sides and driven by the main drive arranged on the respective main bearing.
