A convertible Tonneau cover that converts into a camper shell of a camper and may convert back to a flat Tonneau cover. The convertible Tonneau cover includes a top portion of a rear hinged door frame that is curved over to protect the top portion of each of the pair of hinged sides. The convertible Tonneau cover also includes an E-hinge clamp with an E-shaped frame and a knurled screw, the E-shaped frame includes a knurled aperture, wherein the knurled screw has a semi-circular portion disposed on an end of the knurled screw to provide more surface area contact with the truck bed while adapted to be tightened within the E-shaped frame. The pair of hinged sides are adapted to fold inward while a bottom portion of the rear hinged door frame is coupled to a bed rail of a truck bed with the E-hinge clamp.

A system for modifying a separation distance between a vehicle cover and a vehicle bed is provided. The system comprises a plurality of lift members coupled to the vehicle bed and the vehicle cover. Each lift member comprises an active actuator actuatable to extend the each lift member and a passive actuator operable to extend the each lift member. Actuating the active actuators of first ones of the lift members causes the passive actuators of second ones of the lift members to extend to move the vehicle cover away from the vehicle bed by a first separation distance. Actuating the active actuators of the second ones of the lift members causes the passive actuators of the first ones of the lift members to extend to move the vehicle cover away from the vehicle bed by a second separation distance.

A truck bed cover may include a top panel and a plurality of side panels. The top panel may be slidably and pivotably connected to each of the side panels. Each side panel may be connected to a truck bed rail. The side panels may be pivotably connected to the truck bed rail, in particular. Each of the top panel and the side panels are configured to selectively move between a tonneau cover configuration and a cap configuration.

An apparatus for covering at least a portion of a cargo area of a vehicle, the apparatus includes a frame; one or more side panels attached to the frame; one or more quarter panels attached to the frame; a rear panel; a roof panel supported by the frame; and a lifting mechanism configured to reposition the roof panel relative to the frame and/or the one or more side panels. The lifting mechanism has a handle, a lifter, and a track supporting the lifter. Movement of the handle causes the track to move in a first direction, which causes the lifter to slide in the track in a second direction to raise and/or lower the lifter, which causes the roof panel to be moved or repositioned.

A truck bed enclosure assembly for securing contents of a truck bed and attached cabinets includes a lift module and a shell. The lift module is mountable to a bed of a truck, wherein the bed comprises a platform and a pair of sidewalls that define a central pathway. The shell is attached to the lift module so that the shell is selectively positionable in an extended configuration and a lowered configuration. In the extended configuration, the pair of sidewalls and the central pathway are accessible to a user. In the lowered configuration, opposed side panels of the shell bracket and at least partially cover the sidewalls of the bed and a rear panel of the shell covers an opening to the central pathway. The shell thus deters access to the sidewalls and to the central pathway.

A vehicle includes a base, a pair of wheel sets mounted underneath the base in a spaced apart relationship to each other, at least one coupling members mounted on at least one end of the base along longitudinal axis of the vehicle, an enclosure upstanding on the base and having a pair of side wall structures, a pair of end wall members and a roof member joining upper edges of each of the pair of side wall members and the pair of end wall structures, the enclosure defining an interior compartment of the railway freight car and an apparatus configured to move the enclosure in a vertical direction relative to the base.

Methods of transporting a plurality of freight containers are disclosed, including stacking one or more containers on a transportation vehicle, where one or more of the stacked containers is a vertically collapsible container in a collapsed position, where at least one of the vertically collapsible containers includes: a frame assembly including: a plurality of rectangular frame members; a plurality of articulated vertical frame members disposed between the rectangular frame members; and where the articulated vertical frame members are positioned and arranged to retract to within the frame assembly; a lifting mechanism positioned and arranged to elevate the rectangular frame members from each other; and where the lifting mechanism is disposed between the uppermost rectangular frame member of the frame assembly and the lowermost rectangular frame member of the frame assembly.

A convertible Tonneau cover that converts into a camper shell of a camper and may convert back to a flat Tonneau cover. A cargo-bed cover system and method as used to improve the covering of cargo beds of pickup trucks by providing an apparatus having the functionality of both a truck topper and a hard top tonneau cover. The cargo-bed cover system includes a rigid cover configured to cover the cargo bed of the pickup truck; coupled to the rigid cover, a mechanically-powered lifting assembly configured to vertically lift the rigid cover between a bed-covering position, located adjacent the cargo bed, and at least one raised position located above the cargo bed; a mounting assembly configured to removably mount the mechanically-powered lifting assembly to the cargo bed; and enclosing panels adapted to enclose an area formed between the rigid cover and the cargo bed when the rigid cover is in the at least one raised position.

A height-adjustable enclosed semitrailer having a plurality of adjustable vertical supports for raising and lowering the roof of an enclosure, the enclosure comprising a plurality an overhanging upper body in some embodiments, and a retractable rearward door adapted to retract upwardly into a spool affixed to the roof.
