Pivoting device for a camper shell
Improvements in a pivoting device for a camper shell on a truck, flat bed or utility bed that including a pair of support posts selectively coupled with respect to the forward and rearward ends of one of the opposed sides of the camper shell. The support posts each have a short lower section and a long upper section. The short lower sections have lower ends dimensioned for being received within the forward and rearward post holes of the bed. The long upper sections, extend upwardly at an inward angle from the short lower sections. The long upper sections each have an upper end securable to the camper shell for elevating the side of the camper shell above the bed. A pivot rod assembly is secured to each of the opposed side walls of the bed for selectively holding the camper shell to the side walls of the bed.
Tonneau Cover Having Secured Flexible Hinge
A tonneau cover apparatus for removable attachment to a cargo box of a pickup truck including a support frame assembly and a cover assembly. The cover assembly includes a plurality of pivotally interconnected rigid panels that can be folded up and secured to the cargo box such that respective upper surfaces of at least two of the plurality of rigid panels reside in an upright folded orientation. The tonneau cover apparatus further includes a mechanism for securing the at least two of the plurality of rigid panels in the upright folded orientation. A method of removably securing the tonneau cover apparatus to the pickup truck is also described, as is an alternate embodiment of the tonneau cover apparatus, wherein the cover assembly includes first and second pivotally interconnected rigid panels and a pair of hinge support mechanisms that generally restrict the way the second rigid panel pivots.
COVER ASSEMBLY FOR CARGO BED OF PICKUP TRUCK
The present invention provides a cover assembly for a cargo bed of a pickup truck, utility truck, or other vehicle. The cover assembly is fixed onto the sidewalls of the cargo bed to provide cover or shelter thereon to protect the load from weather, vandalism, etc. The cover assembly is expandable in all three axes or in any two axes or in any axis and thus can be used for different size cargo beds. The cover assembly includes rails mounted on the sidewalls of the cargo bed, panels, edge frames mounted to the rails, and corner frames. The assembly includes a door assembly that includes one or more door flaps movably hinged to one of the panels. The cover assembly includes support assembly mounted to the rails that includes beams and columns connected together by means of connectors.
Truckbed covering apparatus
A truckbed apparatus for a pickup truck includes a framework having first and second side rails extending along the first and second bed rails of the truck. The framework includes opposed front and rear end rails extending between proximal and distal ends of the first and second side rails, respectively. A center support rail has front and rear ends operatively attached to center portions of the front and rear rails, respectively, the center support rail being parallel and intermediate to the side rails, respectively. The apparatus includes first and second door assemblies that include first and second doors each having an inner edge pivotally coupled to the center support rail and an outer edge opposite the inner edge, respectively, Each door is movable between a closed configuration in which the respective outer edge bears against a respective side rail and an open configuration displaced upwardly from the side rail.
TONNEAU COVER
A tonneau cover for covering the opening of a cargo bed of a pickup truck. The tonneau cover includes a sandwich panel including a structural core, a first layered section, and a second layered section. The structural core has a top surface and a bottom surface. The first layered section is coupled to the top surface of the structural core, and a second layered section is coupled to the bottom surface of the structural core. Each of the first and second layered sections includes a reinforcement layer, and at least one of the reinforcement layers of the first and second layered sections is a carbon fiber mat. The tonneau cover may have a single panel configuration or a tri-panel configuration.
Apparatus for covering a vehicle
An apparatus for covering a vehicle is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a frame comprising anchors. The frame comprises a ramp and rails coupled to the ramp. The apparatus further comprises a hard cover provided in the shape of a vehicle. The hard cover comprises at least one latch. The apparatus further comprises a hydraulic system provided at the frame and coupled to the hard cover. The hydraulic system is operated using a motor. The apparatus may be operated with a cable and pulley system as well. In order to cover the vehicle, the vehicle is received at the ramp and the rails are operated to align the vehicle with the frame. Subsequently, the hydraulic system is operated to lower the hard cover to cover the vehicle. Upon lowering the hard cover, the latch is operably coupled to the anchor to lock the hard cover to the frame.
Switch for platforms
A switch system for a moveable platform includes a track including an upper portion and a lower portion. A platform transition switch is connected within the track. The platform transition switch is configured to receive a wheel connected to a platform, and to transition the wheel between the upper portion and the lower portion.
COLLAPSIBLE FOLDING TRUCK TRUNK
A collapsible trunk for use with a vehicle having a wheel well. The trunk comprises a base wall and a side wall pivotally connected thereto. The side wall extends from the base wall and terminates at an upper edge. The side wall and base wall collectively define a storage cavity. The base wall and the side wall each have an expandable portion conformable to the wheel well in response to placement of the base wall and the side wall over the wheel well. The trunk is selectively transitional between a collapsed configuration and a deployed configuration. In the collapsed configuration, the base panels overlap each other, and in the deployed configuration, the plurality of base panels are co-planar to each other. The upper edge of the side wall moves away from the base wall as the trunk transitions from the collapsed configuration toward the deployed configuration.
SEALING STRUCTURE FOR TRUCK CARGO BED WITH SHUTTER
A shutter couples to an upper part of a cargo bed by left and right tracks mounted on left and right side walls of the cargo bed. A tailgate is mounted on a rear end of the cargo bed. A bed liner seal member is provided on rear ends of the left and right side walls. A touch member provided on a rear part of the shutter makes elastic contact with the bed liner seal member when the shutter is fully extended. A shutter seal member provided on the shutter makes elastic contact with the tailgate. A tailgate seal member provided on the tailgate makes elastic contact with the bed liner seal member. First and second seal beads on an upper surface are provided on an upper wall of a protrusion of the bed liner seal member. The touch member touches the first and second seal beads.
Conformality modulation of metal oxide films using chemical inhibition
Methods and systems for conformality modulation of metal oxide films in atomic layer deposition (ALD) are provided. Some example methods use chemical inhibition.
