Systems and methods for accessory load adjustment to reduce engine noise
Systems and methods are provided for controlling a hybrid powertrain of a hybrid vehicle, and may include: determining a value of a drive request for a combustion engine of the hybrid vehicle; determining electrical loading on batteries of the hybrid vehicle; adjusting operation of an accessory of the hybrid vehicle to reduce the electrical load of that accessory on the batteries of the hybrid vehicle when the drive request value is above a determined drive request threshold amount and the electrical loading on batteries of the hybrid vehicle is above a power loading threshold; and directing at least some of the power saved by adjusting operation of the accessory from the batteries of the hybrid vehicle to a drive motor of the hybrid vehicle to provide motive force for the vehicle.
VEHICLE DRIVE APPARATUS AND VEHICLE DRIVE APPARATUS MANUFACTURING METHOD
A first rotation shaft (which is provided with a first gear) is assembled to a first case member so as to provide a first assembly. A second rotation shaft (which is provided with a second gear) and a third rotation shaft (which is provided with a third gear) are assembled to a support member so as to provide a second assembly. When the second assembly is assembled to the first assembly, the second assembly is rotatable around a third axis from a first position where the first gear and the second gear are located away from each other to a second position where the first gear and the second gear are in mesh with each other, and is positioned at the second position by using a positioning member.
METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR OPERATING AN ENGINE
Systems and methods for operating an engine that may be selectively automatically stopped and started are described. In one example, the method adjusts an amount of time that the engine may be inhibited from automatically stopping based on driver inputs such as driver demand pedal position, vehicle speed, and braking torque.
VEHICLE DRIVING DEVICE
A vehicle driving device mounted on a hybrid vehicle includes an engine coupled to wheels of the vehicle via a power transmission path, a transmission mechanism disposed on the power transmission path, a motor generator, a first power transmission mechanism, and a second power transmission mechanism. The motor generator is disposed on a path coupling the engine and transmission mechanism, the first power transmission mechanism is disposed on a path coupling the engine and motor generator, the second power transmission mechanism is disposed on a path coupling the motor generator and transmission mechanism. These paths are included in the power transmission path. The first power transmission mechanism includes a large-diameter rotator and a small-diameter rotator coupled to the engine and the motor generator respectively. The second power transmission mechanism includes a small-diameter rotator and a large-diameter rotator coupled to the motor generator and the transmission mechanism respectively.
TORQUE TRANSMITTING DEVICE
A torque transmitting device for transmitting torque between a first drive element and an output element, having a torque transmitting unit with a housing delimiting a first fluid chamber filled with a liquid, and a separating clutch arranged outside of the torque transmitting unit and the first fluid chamber in a second fluid chamber separated from the first chamber and which selectively transmits torque between the first drive element and the torque transmitting unit. The separating clutch has a clutch output that is connectable to a clutch input via a friction device and a clutch actuator that comprises a pressing element and an actuation element to which fluid pressure can be applied to move the actuation element. The pressing element is arranged within the second fluid chamber, and the actuation element is at least partly arranged within the first fluid chamber so that pressure is applied thereto by fluid pressure.
HYBRID MODULE SHAFT ASSEMBLY
A hybrid module shaft assembly includes a rotational axis, a housing with a tubular portion, a shaft extending through the tubular portion, a first seal, a first ball bearing, and a plain bearing. The tubular portion has a first distal end arranged on an engine side of the housing, and a second distal end arranged on a transmission side of the housing. The first seal is arranged to seal the shaft to the first distal end, and the first ball bearing is disposed on the engine side adjacent to the first seal to position the shaft in the tubular portion. The plain bearing is arranged at the second distal end to position the shaft.
ELECTRIC POWERTAIN FOR A VEHICLE
A kit of parts for configuring an electric powertrain for a vehicle, electric powertrains for a vehicle and a method for configuring an electric powertrain for a vehicle. the invention applies to an electric powertrain integrated into a vehicle axle. Such electric axle (or “E-axle”) is a front or rear axle that includes an axle body (or “housing”) adapted to receive a powertrain, which is arranged to provide torque to the wheels of the axle.
Method and system for a hybrid power control in a vehicle
Methods and systems for improving fuel economy and reducing emissions of a vehicle with an electric motor, an engine, an energy storage device, and a controller are disclosed. The method includes obtaining current state information including a current hybrid control surface, and determining a target hybrid control surface for the vehicle based on the current state information.
Hybrid power train structure in off-road vehicle
A hybrid power train structure for off-road vehicles (ATVs, UTVs and SSVs) uses an internal combustion engine (“ICE”) rotating a crankshaft through a continuously variable transmission (“CVT”) as a primary source of locomotion torque, but also includes a driving/generator motor which, in certain established conditions, can either provide an additional or alternative source of locomotion torque or can harvest electricity from the torque created by the internal combustion engine. The driving/generator motor is an axial flux motor of small size for its relative torque output, which can either be directly coupled to the CVT output shaft or, when additionally used as a starter motor for the ICE in an automatic ICE starting and stopping routine.
Hybrid vehicle
A hybrid vehicle includes: an engine including a crankshaft; an electric motor including a motor drive shaft; a power transmission shaft to which a total of drive power from the engine and drive power from the electric motor is transmitted; and a switching dog clutch located on a power transmission route from the crankshaft to the power transmission shaft, the switching dog clutch including a switching dog structure slidable to cut off the power transmission route.
