BUILT-IN SUPPORT PILLAR FOR A FUEL TANK
A built-in support pillar for a fuel tank including: a support pillar main body that is configured to be disposed inside a box-shaped fuel tank, and that joins together mutually facing internal walls of the fuel tank; an engaging portion for positioning that is formed on an outer circumferential surface of the support pillar main body; and a bracket that is mounted on the support pillar main body, the bracket including an engaged portion configured to be engaged with the engaging portion, and a fixing portion to which a built-in component is fixed.
FUEL SUPPLY DEVICE
A coupling stay includes a support inner peripheral surface extending along a rotational axis and providing radial support to a rotatable shaft portion of a pump unit, which extends along the rotational axis. A support lateral surface extends in a longitudinal direction and provides thrust support to the pump unit. The support inner peripheral surface extends from the support lateral surface in the transverse direction. A lock claw projects from the coupling stay. A lock projection projects from the pump unit and is operable to lock rotation of the pump unit relative to the coupling stay about the rotational axis upon fitting of the lock projection between the support lateral surface and the lock claw. A height of a contact part of the lock projection, which contacts the support lateral surface, is limited to be equal to or lower than the rotational axis.
CLOSURE ASSEMBLY FOR FUEL-TANK FILLER NECK
A fuel tank filler apparatus comprises a capless filler neck closure adapted to be mated with an outer end of a fuel-tank filler neck. The capless filler neck closure may be removable from the fuel-tank filler neck for service or repair.
TANK LID UNIT AND FUEL SUPPLY DEVICE
A primary metal terminal connects between a fuel pump and a drive circuit through a resin lid. A primary connecting point of the primary metal terminal connected to the drive circuit, is positioned around a drive control IC, and a primary exposed portion of the primary metal terminal, exposed to a receiving space of the resin lid is bent such that the primary exposed portion is resiliently deformable. A secondary metal terminal connects between an external circuit system and the drive circuit through the resin lid. A secondary connecting point of the secondary metal terminal connected to the drive circuit is positioned at a location that is further spaced from the drive control IC in comparison to the primary connecting point, and a secondary exposed portion of the secondary metal terminal exposed to the receiving space has a stiffness higher than a stiffness of the primary exposed portion.
FRAME FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE TANK
A frame for a plastic tank for a motor vehicle, containing at least one means for attaching an internal reinforcing element of the plastic tank which is intended to connect two opposite walls of said plastic tank. The at least one means for attaching the internal reinforcing element includes at least one first structure configured to snap-fit at least a portion of the internal reinforcing element. The at least one first structure contains at least two bodies that are movable relative to each other. The at least two bodies are provided with a holding means configured to hold the internal reinforcing element in a direction opposite to a snap-fitting direction, and at least one stop element, separate from the at least two bodies, protruding in a direction opposite to the snap-fitting direction in order to provide a stop for the internal reinforcing element when said element is snap-fit into place.
PLASTIC TANK WITH A POT-LIKE INSTALLATION BODY
The present disclosure relates to a plastic tank, particularly a plastic fuel tank, with a pot-like installation body arranged on the inside of the tank, as well as a method for producing the same. According to the present disclosure, a ring body is provided which is arranged on an end portion of the installation body (24), wherein the ring body is engaged in an undercut section in the tank wall, and the installation body is engaged in the ring body.
QUICK CONNECT COUPLING WITH VERIFIER
A quick connect coupling having a female part with a throughbore for receiving a tube having an annular extending bead. A latch is supported in the female part in communication with the throughbore. A verifier is provided in stacked arrangement with the latch. Insertion of the tube results in extending sides of the latch expanding outwardly and likewise expanding the extending sides of the verifier. Upon passage of the bead past the latch, the latch seating in the engaged position, with the verifier held open by alignment with the annular bead. The verifier subsequently being displaced to a fully engaged position to indicate that the fluid coupling is fluidly and fully connected.
Valve device
A valve device forming a portion of a ventilation flow channel of a fuel tank includes a float valve, a case housing the float valve, and an outside member housing the case and including an attachment portion to a fuel tank side. One portion of a cylindrical seal member fitted in a first through hole to communicate an inner portion to a second through hole is pinched between a top portion of the case wherein the first through hole is formed, and a top portion of the outside member wherein the second through hole communicating to an outside of the tank is formed, and a lower end of the cylindrical seal member becomes a valve seat of the float valve.
STIFFENING ASSEMBLY FOR A FUEL TANK
A method of forming a tank with a stiffening assembly includes forming a fuel tank such that the tank wall carries at least a first and second insert, locating a connecting assembly within the tank interior aligned with the first and second inserts, the connecting assembly including a rigid body, a first coupler and a second coupler, and coupling at least a portion of the first insert with the first coupler and at least a portion of the second insert with the second coupler to limit movement of the two wall portions relative to each other.
Fuel tank of thermoplastic polymer for a motor vehicle and method for the production of a fuel tank
The invention relates to a fuel tank of thermoplastic polymer for a motor vehicle, having at least one reinforcing element inside the fuel tank, the reinforcing element inside the fuel tank extending between opposing tank walls (15), parts of the reinforcing element passing through the tank wall and parts of the reinforcing element engaging behind the tank wall from outside, the fuel tank being distinguished according to the invention in that the reinforcing element (8) is provided with at least one multipart fastening head (11), which comprises a first closing means engaging through the tank wall (15) from inside and a second closing means engaging through the tank wall (15) from outside, which closing means are of mutually complementary construction.
