Fuel cap and seal assembly
The present invention provides a fuel cap including a body, a seal positioned within the body and adapted for engaging a filler tube opening, the seal manufactured of a material and in a shape such that the seal itself provides the biasing force to secure the cap on the filler tube opening.
Gas cap with built-in funnel for small engines
The invention is directed to a gas cap with built-in funnel for small engines. The gas cap provides a compact funnel of sufficient size to speed the refueling process and prevent spills, and may further provide a valve to prevent the escape of gasoline fumes from the fuel tank.
Fuel cap
A fuel cap capable of preventing a reduction in breathability in a housing due to a moistened adsorbent and appropriately discharging fuel vapor includes a housing including an inner space through which vapor generated in a fuel tank flows upward from below. A granular adsorbent is disposed in the inner space of the housing. A lower air-permeable layer is disposed below the adsorbent, and an upper air-permeable layer is disposed above the adsorbent. A lower porous member is disposed between the adsorbent and the lower air-permeable layer. The lower air-permeable layer, the lower porous member, and the upper air-permeable layer respectively have a porous structure. A density of the lower porous member is lower than a density of the lower air-permeable layer and a density of the upper air-permeable layer.
Closure Cap for an Operating Medium Tank
A closure cap for an operating medium tank is provided with a closure device projecting into a fill socket of the operating medium tank. The closure device has a first cap element, a second cap element, and a sealing ring arranged between the first and second cap elements. A lifting assembly axially moves by an axial travel the first and second cap elements relative to each other for opening and closing the fill socket. The lifting assembly has a pressure member acting axially on one of the first and second cap elements. A grip member is provided that is rotatable about a hub and actuates the lifting assembly. A cover disk covering at least partially the fill socket relative to an exterior is connected fixedly to the pressure member of the lifting assembly. The cover disk rotates, together with the pressure member, about the hub.
Vehicle lid device
A vehicle lid device includes a housing provided with a fuel filling aperture portion; a lid opening and closing an opening of the housing; and a link member connecting the lid to the housing to be openable and closable. The vehicle lid device includes a base member capable of axially supporting the link member to be turnable, and a depressed portion provided in the housing and capable of receiving the base member.
TANK CAP STRUCTURE AND SADDLE-TYPE VEHICLE
A tank cap structure of an embodiment includes a cap body, a grip portion, a valve device, and a ratchet mechanism. The valve device includes a valve case which has a cylindrical shape about a screw axis and accommodates a float, and a valve body which has a tapered shape thinner than the valve case and extends toward an opening.
The cap body includes a cylindrical receiving portion which has a cylindrical shape about the screw axis. A seal-receiving portion receiving a seal member held between the cap body and an oil filler port portion is provided on an outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical receiving portion. A valve-receiving portion receiving the valve device inserted into an inner circumference of the cylindrical receiving portion is provided on an inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical receiving portion.
Refuelling coupling
A refueling coupling has an annular fitting 101 having a bore 102, bayonet lugs 103 and slots 104 suiting it for connection to a pressure filling nozzle. A flange 122, drilled with screw holes for securement to a fuel tank (not shown), extends out from the fitting 101. Also not shown for the sake of clarity is a tube extending own from the flange. Rods extend down from the flange 122 to a spider 125, with springs bearing upwards onto the underside of a dry-break member 105, through which the rods extend. The rods, springs and spider are within the non-shown tube. On attaching and opening of a pressure filling nozzle to the coupling, the dry-break member 105 is displaced resiliently inwards fuel can flow past this member and into the tank. The dry-break member has a central aperture 111, normally closed by a plug 112, which is threaded externally 114 and carries an O-ring seal 115 above the thread. The central aperture has a plain bore orifice 116 and is threaded 117 below the plain bore. Thus, when the plug is screwed in, the dry-break member is fluid tight as normal.
Torque element and cap assembly including the same
The present disclosure provides a torque element to transmit torque between a first part and a second part of a cap assembly. The torque element includes a base having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface; and an annular wall extending from the base in a direction away from the second surface. The first surface of the base includes at least one first ratchet and the annular wall includes at least one second ratchet on an outer side.
Closing system for vehicle supply system
A closing system is provided which includes a frame adapted to be mounted on a vehicle supply system, the frame being shaped as a spherical segment and extending between a first circular section and a second circular section. The frame has a plurality of first and second guides, arranged on a radially outer surface. The closing system has a plurality of curved panels, each curved panel being shaped as a spherical cap portion and constrained at a first end and a second end thereof to slide, respectively, along a first guide and a second guide between a first position, in which the curved panels jointly define an opening that allows access to the vehicle supply system, and a second position, in which the curved panels prevent access to the supply system. Control means control movement of the curved panels between the first and second positions.
Fuel cap and spring assembly
The present invention provides a fuel cap including a body and a spring positioned on the body that inhibits unintended removal of the cap from a fuel filler neck, the spring secured on the cap by a cam pin that is used to secure the cap on the cam ramp of a fuel filler neck.
