Four-wheel vehicle
A four-wheel vehicle includes an engine at least a portion of which is located farther forward than a seat, a fuel tank located above the engine and forwardly of the seat, a fuel filler including a fuel filler neck and a filler cap, a breather channel connected to the fuel filler, and an outflow prevention valve in the breather channel to prevent outflow of liquid fuel. The outflow prevention valve is located higher in a side view of the vehicle body than both of a lower end of the fuel tank and an upper end of the engine.
FUEL CAP AND SPRING ASSEMBLY
The present invention provides a fuel cap including a body and a spring positioned on the body that inhibits unintended removal of the cap from a fuel filler neck, the spring secured on the cap by a cam pin that is used to secure the cap on the cam ramp of a fuel filler neck.
FUEL CAP
A fuel cap capable of preventing a reduction in breathability in a housing due to a moistened adsorbent and appropriately discharging fuel vapor includes a housing including an inner space through which vapor generated in a fuel tank flows upward from below. A granular adsorbent is disposed in the inner space of the housing. A lower air-permeable layer is disposed below the adsorbent, and an upper air-permeable layer is disposed above the adsorbent. A lower porous member is disposed between the adsorbent and the lower air-permeable layer. The lower air-permeable layer, the lower porous member, and the upper air-permeable layer respectively have a porous structure. A density of the lower porous member is lower than a density of the lower air-permeable layer and a density of the upper air-permeable layer.
FUEL TANK CAP AND MOUNTING BRACKET APPARATUS
One embodiment of a fuel tank cap and mounting bracket apparatus includes a cap including protrusions on a lower surface of the cap, the protrusions including a raised portion adapted to be received within a recess of a mounting bracket to secure the cap to the mounting bracket. One embodiment of the mounting bracket includes slots to receive the protrusions of the cap and recesses to receive the raised portion of each protrusion. In one embodiment of the mounting bracket the slots and the recesses are surrounded by mounting bracket material on all sides so that the shape of the slots and recesses is protected against deformation during an impact, thereby inhibiting separation of the cap from the mounting bracket.
Anti-theft device for a fuel tank
The present invention relates to an anti-theft device for fuel tanks, wherein the anti-theft device comprises a pipe to be secured to a fuel inlet, wherein the pipe comprises attachment means at its upper portion, furthermore the pipe comprises at least one opening disposed in the side wall of the pipe, wherein the pipe is closed at a lower portion and that said pipe accommodates a substance, wherein said substance is adapted, in the event of a fuel theft attempt, to be carried with the fuel into the pump used during the theft attempt and thereby prevent continued pumping with it, and that the substance is further adapted to be incapable of leaking into the actual fuel tank.
TANK COVER, IN PARTICULAR AN SCR CLOSURE
The invention relates to a tank cover for mounting on a filler neck of a container, including a grip cap, a threaded part and a locking mechanism which is provided between the grip cap and threaded part, wherein the locking mechanism is formed by latching noses and by elastically deformable latching lugs interacting therewith, the latching lugs are integrally formed on the threaded part and the latching noses are integrally formed on the grip cap, or the latching lugs are integrally formed on the grip cap and the latching noses are integrally formed on the threaded part. Here, the latching lugs are formed on or in the vicinity of a thread turn of the threaded part.
TORQUE ELEMENT AND CAP ASSEMBLY INCLUDING THE SAME
The present disclosure provides a torque element to transmit torque between a first part and a second part of a cap assembly. The torque element includes a base having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface; and an annular wall extending from the base in a direction away from the second surface. The first surface of the base includes at least one first ratchet and the annular wall includes at least one second ratchet on an outer side.
FUEL TANK CAP
A fuel tank cap includes a seal cap body and a detaching-proof unit. The cap body has a handheld wall and a surrounding wall that extends from the handheld wall and that is formed with an engaging groove. The detaching-proof unit includes a ring sleeve member and a connection member. The ring sleeve member has an outer ring wall that surrounds the surrounding wall, and a resilient wall that extends the outer ring wall and that is engaged resiliently with the engaging groove. The connection member is connected to the ring sleeve member to be connected to a cap installation portion of a vehicle body.
FUEL TANK FOR SADDLED VEHICLE
A fuel cap is constituted to close an upper portion of a tubular member constituting a filler opening of a fuel tank, and wherein the breather mechanism is constituted to discharge vaporized fuel separated by gas-liquid separation in a labyrinth path within the fuel cap through a breather drain hose supported at a side of the fuel tank, the fuel tank further comprising: a plate member fixed to a support member to support the fuel cap to the fuel tank; and a seal member to airtightly communicate an exit of the labyrinth path and an end portion of the breather drain hose when the fuel cap is closed. The breather drain hose connected to a lower side of the seal member is supported by the plate member.
CLOSURE SYSTEM
The invention relates to a closure system on a fuel tank (2) of thermoplastics with barrier properties for hydrocarbons. The closure system comprises at least one orifice (4), with a closure cap (5) which closes the orifice (4) in a sealing manner and which cooperates in a form-fitting manner with closure means provided at the circumference of the orifice (4) and encloses at least one first sealing means between it and a tank wall (3). The closure system (1) according to the invention is distinguished in that the tank wall is sealed in the region of the orifice (4) with at least one second sealing means, which covers and/or shields a part of the tank wall surfaces exposed to hydrocarbons.
