Filling system
A filling system includes a pipe, a restricting member, a detector, and an actuator. The restricting member is disposed in the pipe to restrict insertion of an object into the pipe. The detector is configured to detect the presence of a metal nozzle in the pipe. The actuator is configured to move the restricting member to enable access through the pipe.
Capless refill adapter for a fluid refilling system
Methods and systems are provided for an adapter for a fluid refilling system. In one example, an adapter configured for use with a diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) system may include a first end configured to couple with a DEF refill passage, a second end including an aperture shaped to receive a DEF nozzle, a pivotable door closing the aperture and biased against the aperture by a biasing member, and a magnetic ring positioned within the adapter and downstream of the pivotable door. The pivotable door may be formed of a material permeable to DEF vapors and may include a plurality of vent holes configured to flow vapors from the DEF system to atmosphere.
FUEL SUPPLY PORT DEVICE
A fuel supply port device includes a tubular main member portion where a fuel supply nozzle is inserted from a tube-upper-end side; a cover member covering a side portion on the tube-upper-end side of the tubular main member portion from an outside; an earth member electrically connecting a fuel-supply-nozzle side to be inserted and a body-panel side; and a seal member sealing a pass-through portion of the earth member formed in the cover member. The seal member includes an insert-through portion allowing a one-end-portion side of the earth member to be inserted to pass through from the outside of the tubular main member portion.
Fuel supply structure for filler pipe
Disclosed is a fuel supply structure for a filler pipe including the hollow circular cylindrical part having the fuel filler port and the connection opening, the first flap mechanism which is disposed on a side of the fuel filler port of the hollow circular cylindrical part and opens the fuel filler port in response to press by a nozzle, the drain through hole for communication between the inside and the outside of the hollow circular cylindrical part, and the drain hole shutting valve for open and shutting the drain through hole. The drain hole shutting valve is provided with the opening/shutter mechanism including the valve member for shutting the drain through hole in response to an opening operation of the first shutter member.
Filling device for a fluid tank
A filling device for an operating fluid tank, comprising a tubular outer part and an inner part which is received in the outer part and which is designed to receive an operating fluid nozzle, is characterized in that the inner part comprises a first end wall having an opening and a second end wall having an opening, the end walls being connected to one another via a shell and the shell being provided over the entire length between the end walls with a shell opening whose width corresponds substantially to the corresponding maximum inner width of the shell.
Fueling device
A channel forming member is attached to a filler neck on a nozzle insertion side where a fueling nozzle is to be inserted. The channel forming member includes a barrier section that forms an insertion flow path section for the fueling nozzle in the fuel flow path on the nozzle insertion side, while forming an annular channel surrounding the insertion flow path section so as to separate the channel from the insertion flow path section. The channel forming member further includes the following provided to the barrier section: an atmosphere communication hole for making the channel communicate with the atmosphere; a flow path communication hole for making the channel communicate with an insertion end flow path section downstream from the insertion flow path section; and a valve mechanism that prevents passage of the atmosphere through the channel in a fueling period. This contributes to reduction in introduction of the atmosphere into the fuel flow path through the channel in a fueling period.
OPENING/CLOSING DEVICE OF FUEL TANK
In a housing surrounding a nozzle insertion passage, a first opening open to the atmosphere is provided, and in a cover main body in which the housing is incorporated, a nozzle insertion port and a second opening which is opposite the first opening and open to the atmosphere is provided. Moreover, in the recess wall of a drainage port formation member fitted to the first opening, a recess which is recessed on the side of the first opening is formed so as to be continuous with the second opening, and a drainage port is provided. A drainage valve is held in the recess with respect to the recess wall so as to open and close the drainage port by turning of the valve main body about the turning shaft serving as a base point.
Fuel tank vent and shutoff valve
A non-pressure valve is provided, and includes a tubular housing having an inlet and an outlet. The tubular housing forms a fluid flow path. The non-pressure valve also includes a sliding sleeve coupled with the outlet, a spring disposed between the sliding sleeve and the tubular housing, and a flow-through mount disposed within the tubular housing adjacent the sliding sleeve. The flow-through mount is coupled with a bulb. The bulb is configured to engage the sliding sleeve and impede the flow of fuel. The non-pressure valve also includes a hose fluidly coupling the non-pressure valve with a remote fuel vent. The flow-through mount may include a plurality of bypass openings positioned in the fluid flow path and configured to divert a portion of the fuel flow through a hose to the remote fuel vent.
Erroneous refueling prevention device
An erroneous refueling prevention device restricts or allows insertion of a refueling gun into a refueling passage depending on an outer diameter of the refueling gun. The device includes a flap configured to open or close the refueling passage by a turn of the flap about a first turn pivot; and a switch configured to be unlocked from the flap by a turn of the flap to a half-opened state, and to turn about a second turn pivot. The switch includes a protrusion detector configured to, in response to the turn, project to a position where the protrusion detector faces the refueling passage. The switch restricts or allows a turn of the flap from the half-opened state to a fully-opened state, depending on a turn amount of the switch to be determined by a contact relationship between the protrusion detector and the refueling gun.
FUEL FILL OPENING STRUCTURE
Provided is a fuel fill opening structure which includes: a holder which forms a fuel supply passage; a main on-off valve which is arranged in the holder, and opens or closes the fuel supply passage; a drain opening which is drilled on an upstream side from the main on-off valve of the holder; a drain flap which is pivotably arranged at a position to come in contact with a fuel gun inserted into the holder; and a drain on-off valve which pivots along with pivot of the drain flap to open or close the drain opening. A first pivot amount of the drain flap, which is pivoted by being brought in contact with the fuel gun, is set to be larger than a second pivot amount of the drain on-off valve required to close the drain opening.
