VEHICLE SIDE BODY
20190039657 · 2019-02-07 · ·

A vehicle side body includes a vertical plate, a horizontal plate connected to a lower edge of the vertical plate and extending outward from the edge to form an L-shaped inside edge with the vertical plate, an opening extending in the vertical plate and the horizontal plate across the inside edge, and an L-shaped bracket fixed to, around the opening, an inner surface of the vertical plate and a lower surface of the horizontal plate. A hydrogen filling port to which a hydrogen filling nozzle is connectable is attached to the L-shaped bracket. A rib plate is provided to connect an outer surface of the vertical plate and an upper surface of the horizontal plate. An accidental contact between the hydrogen filling nozzle and a body is inhibited.

Fuel filler device

A fuel filler device for filling fuel into a vehicle tank, includes a filler pipe for receiving a fuel filler nozzle, which filler pipe can be connected with the vehicle tank. At least one pivotably mounted closing flap is arranged in the filler pipe. A spring element is provided, which biases the at least one closing flap into a closing position closing a passage through the filler pipe. The at least one closing flap is pivotable from the closing position into an opening position opening a passage through the filler pipe as a result of the fuel filler nozzle inserted into the filler pipe. At least one valve element forms at least one bypass to the at least one closing flap, and from a limit pressure difference, allows a passage of gas out of the filler pipe and/or into the filler pipe.

PIPE HOLDER
20180334026 · 2018-11-22 ·

A pipe holder for holding a pipe member at a vehicle body comprises a metallic member including a metallic clamp part that grasps and holds a portion of a fueling pipe to which a protection member is attached, and a metallic fixing part with a metallic engagement pawl part; and a resin clamp that, surrounds and holds the fueling pipe in a peripheral direction with the fueling pipe being grasped by the metallic member. The resin clamp comprises: a first resin member including a first clamp part; and a second resin member including a second clamp part facing the first clamp part and a resin fixing part with a resin engagement pawl part. The metallic engagement pawl part and the resin engagement pawl part are overlaid on each other to form an engagement unit. The engagement unit is engaged with an engagement opening of the vehicle body. When the engagement unit and the engagement opening are in engagement, a vertical lower end of a portion of the metallic engagement pawl part inserted into the engagement opening is located below a lower end of the engagement opening.

Fuel tank joint

A fuel tank joint includes a tubular joint body and an entry restriction member. The joint body includes a support portion. The entry restriction member includes a body tube, a groove, a guide, and an engagement hook. The body tube has opposite open ends in the flow direction of fuel. The groove extends upstream from the downstream end of the body tube and is engaged with the support portion. The guide is formed in part of the body tube that includes the downstream end of the body tube and guides the groove to the support portion by contacting the support portion when the body tube is inserted into the joint body. The engagement hook is formed in a downstream end section of the body tube and engaged with the support portion, from a downstream side, in a state in which the groove is engaged with the support portion.

FILLER NECK HOUSING ARRANGEMENT
20180264938 · 2018-09-20 ·

A filler neck housing arrangement for mounting on a body opening of a motor vehicle includes a housing body (12) which forms a passage opening for the insertion of at least one tank filler pipe. An annular sealing and holding body (10) is configured for holding the sealing and holding body on the body opening and for holding the sealing and holding body on the housing body. The sealing and holding body includes a first sealing member which, in the state of the sealing and holding body being held on the body opening, lies in a sealing manner against a surface (30) of a body part (28) bounding the body opening, and a second sealing member which, in the state of the sealing and holding body being held on the housing body, lies in a sealing manner against the housing body (12).

Earth structure for filler pipe

An earth structure for a filler pipe includes a filler pipe; a tubular cover member in which an upstream end of the filler pipe is inserted and which defines a fueling port; an annular seal part interposed between the filler pipe and the cover member; and an earth member which is mounted an outer surface of the filler pipe and extends along a longitudinal direction of the filler pipe. The cover member is made of a conductive material, and the earth member is in contact with the cover member on a downstream side of the seal part. Since it is not necessary to dispose the earth member so as to pass through the seal part, the sealability between the filler pipe and the cover member improves.

System for controlling vehicle

The present disclosure relates to a fuel filler apparatus/charging port apparatus/hidden handle apparatus for a vehicle. The fuel filler apparatus/charging port apparatus has a fuel filler lid/charging port lid, and the hidden handle apparatus has a hidden door handle. The fuel filler apparatus/charging port apparatus/hidden handle apparatus includes actuation apparatus and actuation apparatus control unit. The actuation apparatus includes motor, where the motor has an open position, a closed position, and an intermediate position between the open position and the closed position, and the motor is configured to drive an actuation component to move between the open position and the closed position. The actuation apparatus control unit receives an opening signal and a closing signal from a body control module, the opening signal causes the actuation component to move to the open position, and the closing signal causes the actuation component to move to the closed position. The actuation apparatus control unit performs closed-loop control of the motor based on a proportional-integral-derivative control algorithm according to a temperature, a voltage, and a position of the motor, to precisely control the fuel filler lid apparatus/charging port lid apparatus/hidden handle apparatus to move between the open position and the closed position.

Fuel supply apparatus

A fixation member configured to fix a filler pipe to the vehicle body includes a flexural deformation portion. In a non-surrounded state, this flexural deformation portion is not flexurally deformed but is located on the inner side of the outer circumference of a filler neck body. In a surrounded state, the flexural deformation portion is flexurally deformed to induce a pressing force and provides the pressing force to the filler pipe. This configuration suppresses rattling of the filler pipe over a long time period.

Inside mounting modular fuel fill pocket assembly for a vehicle

A fuel fill pocket mounting system includes a mounting bracket having an inboard surface and an outboard surface. The outboard surface is bonded to an interior surface of a sheet molded composite body panel. A filler housing is attached to the inboard surface of the mounting bracket. The filler housing includes a wall defining an interior space. A snap in bezel is attached to the filler housing within the interior space. The bezel includes an outer lip disposed against the wall of the filler housing. The bezel includes a rubber material in sealing engagement with a fuel inlet pipe to limit fuel leakage between the bezel and the fuel inlet pipe.
