Onboard refueling vapor recovery system and automobile having same

An onboard refueling vapor recovery (ORVR) system includes a main canister, a spare canister, a hydrocarbon sensor, a grade rollover valve (GRV), a fill limit vent valve (FLVV) and a fuel vapor pipe. The GRV and the FLVV are disposed at top portion of the fuel tank, with sides of the GRV and the FLVV hermetically connected with the fuel tank and a gas inlet end of the fuel vapor pipe. The main canister and the spare canister hermetically connect with a gas outlet end of the fuel vapor pipe. The main canister communicates with an intake manifold. The hydrocarbon sensor is disposed in the main canister and electrically connected with a vehicle control unit. The hydrocarbon sensor detects hydrocarbon concentration in the main canister and transmits the detection result to the vehicle control unit. The present invention also provides an automobile having the ORVR system.

CAPLESS CLOSURE ASSEMBLY FOR FUEL-TANK FILLER PIPE

The invention relates to a coupling for cryogenic liquefied media, said coupling comprising a coupling socket (10) and a coupling connector (30), which can be connected thereto, each being equipped with a non-return valve (15, 40). According to the invention, the coupling socket (10) comprises a front section (11), having means for connecting to the coupling connector (30), and a rear section (12), having the non-return valve (15). According to the invention, the front section (11) is connected to the rear section (12) by means of screws (33) having predetermined breaking points, which break upon exceeding a specified tensile stress. According to the invention, the sections (11, 12) separate from each other and the non-return valves (15, 40) automatically move to the closed position.

FUEL FILL OPENING STRUCTURE FOR FUEL TANK
20200156465 · 2020-05-21 ·

A fuel fill opening structure for a fuel tank includes a fuel filler pipe, a fuel fill opening, and a flow guide. The flow guide includes a main guide wall which partitions a fuel introduction region inside the fuel filler pipe into an upper space communicating with a tank main body side and a lower space communicating with the fuel fill opening side, and a partition wall provided to be continuous with the main guide wall and configured to close a space between an upper surface side of the main guide wall and an inner surface of the fuel filler pipe. The main guide wall includes a bent inclined part that is bent and inclined downward from a middle portion in running from the fuel fill opening side toward the tank main body side. The bent inclined part has a shape in which a width thereof becomes smaller when viewed from above as it inclines downward.

A channel forming member is attached to a filler neck on a nozzle insertion side where a fueling nozzle is to be inserted. The channel forming member includes a barrier section that forms an insertion flow path section for the fueling nozzle in the fuel flow path on the nozzle insertion side, while forming an annular channel surrounding the insertion flow path section so as to separate the channel from the insertion flow path section. The channel forming member further includes the following provided to the barrier section: an atmosphere communication hole for making the channel communicate with the atmosphere; a flow path communication hole for making the channel communicate with an insertion end flow path section downstream from the insertion flow path section; and a valve mechanism that prevents passage of the atmosphere through the channel in a fueling period. This contributes to reduction in introduction of the atmosphere into the fuel flow path through the channel in a fueling period.
