An annular rim is configured at an upper end of the body and a bottom wall is further configured at a lower end of the body. The FMD includes one or more indented fuel flow members extending from the interior of the annual rim for decreasing cyclonic effect of fuel flowing into the body and a plurality of stepped ribs configured on the interior sidewall of the body for centering diesel and gasoline fuel pump nozzles when inserted into the body. A reverse domed shaped bottom help to disperse fuel though a plurality of substantially rectangular shaped holes through the side wall and bottom wall.

Fuel supply apparatus

An object is to suppress excessive insertion of a fueling nozzle during fueling. A nozzle guide configured to form a nozzle guide path that guides a fueling nozzle is placed inside of a filler neck main body configured to include a fuel passage that introduces a fuel supplied from the fueling nozzle toward a fuel tank. This nozzle guide comprises a first projection for nozzle restriction provided on a nozzle guide end opening portion at an end of the nozzle guide path along a nozzle guide direction and protruded from an end opening circumferential wall of the nozzle guide end opening portion to narrow at least part of a diameter of the nozzle guide path; and a second projection for nozzle restriction provided on a downstream side of the first projection along the nozzle guide direction and protruded from the end opening circumferential wall to narrow at least part of the diameter of the nozzle guide path.

INTEGRATED FUEL-MIXING PREVENTION DEVICE FOR DIESEL VEHICLE

Disclosed herein is an integrated fuel mixing prevention device for a diesel vehicle, in which a diesel filler neck and a urea filler neck are integrated with each other to prevent fuel from mixing, allowing only a diesel fuel filling gun to be inserted into a fuel inlet when a diesel fuel filling mode is selected and allowing only a urea filling gun to be inserted into the fuel inlet when a urea filling mode is selected, which may prevent a fuel mixing an accident caused by incorrect replenishment.

A fuel filling aperture opening and closing device includes a closing member turned to an open position to open a fuel filling aperture by an introduction of a fuel filling nozzle. The closing member is provided with a flap member having a ring-shaped seal member, and an urging device urging the flap member to be positioned at a closed position. The seal member is provided with seal portions respectively inside and outside, and one of the inner and outer seal portions is a plate-shaped portion pressed by the urging against a projection piece bordering an opening edge portion of a pass-through opening of the fuel filling nozzle, and the other of the inner and outer seal portions is formed by an inside circumferential projecting portion and an outside circumferential projecting portion respectively pressed against the flap member.

Fuel-mixing prevention filler neck device

A fuel-mixing prevention filler neck device is provided. The fuel-mixing prevention filler neck device includes a fuel dispensing gun insertion unit that receives a fuel dispensing thereinto and a coupling unit that provides fluid communication with a bottom of the fuel dispensing gun insertion unit. The coupling unit is disposed on an exterior circumferential surface thereof with coupling protrusions for fastening with a plurality of slots formed in a filler pipe. Further, a first side of a lower portion of the coupling unit is open to form a coupling region. A misfueling prevention unit slidably moves to the coupling region to be coupled to the coupling unit. Additionally, the misfueling prevention unit is closed when a gasoline fuel dispensing gun is inserted and being opened when a diesel fuel dispensing gun is inserted.

FLUID COUPLER

A fluid coupler includes a housing with an inlet port and an outlet port, a piston disposed in the housing and configured to control fluid flow between the inlet port and the outlet port, and a piston retainer disposed in the housing. A piston may include at least one radially-extending support member, and the radially-extending support member may include an aperture. The at least one radially-extending support member may be substantially planar.

Diesel fuel guard

A device is provided to prevent the accidental introduction of an incorrect liquid into a tank, such as the introduction of gasoline into the fuel system of a diesel fuel container. The device discriminates between nozzle diameters, allowing entrance of nozzle diameters at or greater than a predetermined minimum diameter while inhibiting entrance of nozzles having diameters less than the predetermined minimum diameter. A closure mechanism prevents access to a fuel container interior and a releasable locking mechanism responsive to nozzle diameters allows the closure mechanism to open and close to allow access to the fuel container interior.
