Systems are provided for refueling a fuel tank of a motor vehicle via a funnel including an insert. In one example, a system may include a funnel including an insert coupled to an inner circumference of the funnel, the insert including a plurality of projections positioned on an inner perimeter of the insert. The plurality of projections may include a first projection spanning a first axial length, a second projection spanning a second axial length, and a third projection spanning a third axial length.

INSERT FOR A FUEL TANK FILLER PIPE

Systems are provided for refueling a fuel tank of a motor vehicle via an insert for a filler pipe. In one example, a system may include an insert coupled to an inner circumference of the filler pipe, the insert including a plurality of projections positioned on an inner circumference of the insert. The plurality of projections may include a first projection spanning a first axial length, a second projection spanning a second axial length, and a third projection spanning a third axial length.

FILLER NECK WITH MAGNETIC ELEMENT

Filler neck, including a passage extending along a longitudinal axis, at least one permanently magnetic element being arranged annularly around the longitudinal axis, at least in regions, outside the passage and able to generate a permanent magnetic field in the passage, and either at least one ferromagnetic element arranged annularly around the longitudinal axis, at least in regions, outside the passage, the at least one permanently magnetic element and the at least one ferromagnetic element being arranged so as to be adjacent and so as to overlap, at least in regions, viewed in the direction of the longitudinal axis, or the at least one permanently magnetic element having a height, viewed in the direction of the longitudinal axis, that is different from 10 mm, and arranged in the filler neck such that a magnetic field generated by the at least one permanently magnetic element has a maximum attractive force, towards the longitudinal axis, in a specified position in the passage.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REFUELING A VEHICLE TANK WITH LIQUIFIED PETROLEUM (LP) GAS

A vehicle has a fuel system that includes a controller that determines when the vehicle is in a refuel mode or a run mode based on a connection of a refuel nozzle to a vehicle connection of the vehicle. The controller controls a fuel pump input selector, a vehicle fuel pump, and a fill/run fuel selector such that fuel is pumped from a storage tank external to the vehicle into a vehicle fuel tank by way of the vehicle fuel pump in the refuel mode, and fuel is pumped to an engine of the vehicle from the vehicle fuel tank by way of the vehicle fuel pump in the run mode.

A filler pipe includes a retainer capable of retaining a fuel filler gun inserted through a fuel filler opening, and a pipe main body connecting the retainer and a fuel tank. The retainer has a stopper limiting the insertion of the fuel filler gun. A flow guide that guides the flow of fuel is provided on the downstream side of the stopper with respect to the flow direction of fuel supplied from the fuel filler gun. The flow guide has a guide portion extending at an angle with respect to the flow direction of fuel.

A flow path-forming member mounted to a pipe opening end of a filler pipe forms an insertion flow path portion in which a fueling nozzle is inserted, such that the insertion flow path portion communicates with a fuel flow path. An opening end engagement portion is arranged to cover a flow path inner circumferential wall a flow path outer circumferential wall and a peripheral wall of the fuel flow path at the pipe opening end around the fuel flow path and is engaged with the filler pipe at the pipe opening end. The flow path-forming member mounted to and engaged with the filler pipe is fastened to the filler pipe by means of a fastening structure, in the state that a pipe outer circumferential wall of the filler pipe is covered by an outer circumference covering portion that is provided from the opening end engagement portion to a downstream side of the fuel flow path. This configuration enhances the effectiveness of preventing the flow path-forming member that forms the insertion flow path portion for the fueling nozzle from being unintentionally detached.

REFUELING RETAINER

A refueling retainer comprises a body portion of a tubular shape inserted into and arranged at a fueling-side end portion of an inlet pipe through which fuel is introduced to a fuel tank. The body portion comprises at a leading end portion thereof: a tapered portion, which is an inner peripheral surface of the leading end portion inclined radially inward toward a leading end of the body portion; and a claw portion that projects from the leading end of the body portion in an inwardly bent manner.

REFUELING PORTION STRUCTURE

A movement permitting section is provided at a nozzle guide 22 at an interior of an inlet pipe 14. When a stopper 24 receives pushing force toward a fuel tank side from a refueling nozzle 18, the movement permitting section deforms so as to permit movement of the stopper 24 toward a radial direction outer side of the nozzle guide 22 or toward a fuel tank side.

Driving device for energy replenishment port visor member

This driving device for energy replenishment port visor member includes: a visor member which advances/retracts between an advanced position for covering, from above, a replenishment port exposed at a vehicle-body-side opening and used for replenishing a vehicle with energy, and a retracted position where the visor member is retracted from above the replenishment port; a visor driving unit which advances/retracts the visor member between the advanced position and the retracted position; a gun connection detection unit which detects whether or not an energy replenishment gun is connected to the replenishment port; and a control unit which causes the visor driving unit to execute advancing-driving for advancing the visor member from the retracted position to the advanced position, when the gun connection detection unit has detected that the energy replenishment gun is connected to the replenishment port in a state in which the visor member is at the retracted position.
