Fuel tank
A fuel tank includes a tank main body configured to reserve a quantity of fuel therein and an oil feed tube fitted to the tank main body to form a fuel feed port. The fuel feed tube has a tip end configured to protrude inwardly of the tank main body, and the tip end is positioned below the upper limit level of the fuel. At a location of the fuel feed tube above the upper limit level, a vent hole is formed to communicate between the interior of the tank main body and the interior of the oil feed tube.
Vehicle fuel tank assembly
A vehicle fuel tank assembly includes a fuel tank and an electrically conductive top plate that closes and seals a fuel-fill opening in the fuel tank. The top plate includes electrical dissipation structures and features that allow for electrical charge dissipation of the fuel tank to an external structure such as the vehicle chassis. The dissipation structures include an electrically insulative carrier that is partially embedded in the top plate using an overmolding process, and an electrical conductor that is supported by the carrier. The electrical conductor provides an electrical connection between the top plate and the chassis that is independent of the fuel tank and the fuel tank mounting structure.
FUNNEL SYSTEM FOR A GAS TANK
A funnel system for a gas tank that can be stored within the gas tank during operation of a machine such as a lawnmower or snow blower. Upon removing the cap of the gas tank in a first embodiment, a funnel is moved toward an open position as the funnel is biased toward the open position. Once fuel is added to the gas tank, a guide member of the cap is utilized to force the funnel toward the closed position and then secured to the gas tank. A second embodiment utilizes a separate guide member, separate from the cap to move the funnel to and from the open position to the closed position.
Saddled vehicle
In a saddled vehicle, an internal combustion engine is disposed below a fuel tank and a riding seal disposed behind the fuel tank. A fuel pump is supported by a front body frame that suspends a front wheel, the fuel pump being disposed at a position where at least part of the fuel pump overlaps with the front wheel as seen in a side view. The fuel tank is supported on an upper frame member that configures part of the body frame. A protection member is extended between the upper frame member and the front body frame, and passes a front of the engine body as seen in a side view. A fuel suction pipe line is covered by the protection member from an outer lateral side and locked to the protection member, the fuel suction pipe line sucking fuel form the fuel tank to the fuel pump side.
Fuel Tank Arrangement With at Least Two Separate Tank Bodies
A fuel tank system is provided with at least two separate tank bodies, each with a respective tank body interior, and a connecting element connecting the tank bodies for fluid communication. The tank bodies are connected to each other by means of a connector and are fabricated from a plastic material. The fuel tank system is formed with receiving means (5) for arrangement on a frame of a vehicle, such as a motorcycle, having a driver's saddle. The fuel tank system includes a distributor element with a fuel filling opening; the distributor element is connected in a fluid-conducting manner to the tank bodies via at least one fluid-conducting connector.
Fuel tank cap with charcoal canister
The fuel tank cap with charcoal canister includes a fuel tank inner cap and a fuel tank outer cap. A filling chamber is disposed in the fuel tank inner cap. The fuel tank outer cap wraps up the upper port of the filling chamber. The fuel tank inner cap has a volume chamber having an upper vent cap. Between the side wall of the upper vent cap and the inner wall of the volume chamber, there is an air gap. The filling chamber has a lower breathing panel. Between the lower breathing panel and the bottom of the filling chamber, there is a welding ring. The upper port is on the inner side of the welding ring. The lower surface of the lower breathing panel is fixed and connected with the filling chamber via the welding ring. The bottom surface of the volume chamber has an air inlet/outlet.
FUEL PUMP WITH INTEGRAL VAPOR TRAP SYSTEM AND RELATED METHOD
An in-tank fuel pump assembly and mounting system is disclosed which may be configured for mounting inside a fuel tank. The assembly includes a pump housing, pump mounted to the housing, and pressure relief valve. The housing may comprise upper and lower pump housing units coupled together. The upper housing unit is configured for mounting to a tank opening, which in one implementation may be the fuel fill opening. The lower housing unit extends into the tank to approximately the bottom of the tank. A fuel fill fluid pathway is created through the housing for adding fuel to the tank while the pump assembly remains in situ. The upper housing unit may include a removable fuel cap. The pump housing may include an integral vapor trap.
Coupling
A system includes a body with a fluid passage therethrough, a first open end, and an opposite termination, a valve positioned within the body and including first and second ends, the valve moving between open and closed positions, the valve being biased into the closed position, and a seal positioned on the second end of the valve, the seal forming the closed position when the valve is biased towards the first open end of the body, and the seal engaging a shoulder formed by the body to retain the valve within the body. The seal is accessible from the termination of the body to allow the valve to be coupled to the body.
TANK MADE OF RESIN
A tank made of resin provided with a barrier layer, which prevents the barrier layer from rolling up and has improved d urability. In a tank made of resin that includes a barrier layer provided on an inner surface of a tank body made of resin, an opening part is provided in the barrier layer, a thick part projecting toward an inside or an outside of the tank body is provided in a resin layer at an outer peripheral part of the opening part, and the barrier layer and a casting flange part at a base of an oil filling port tubular part are molded with the resin of the tank body in a state in which the casting flange part is located at the thick part.
Tank cap
The present invention relates to a tank cap including a lever member that is constrained from moving to the standing position contrary to the intention of the operator. The tank cap comprises a slide member disposed in the cap body so as to be adjacent to the lever member, and provided with a cam contact portion that is to come into contact with a cam portion of the lever member, and a coil spring disposed between the slide member and the bottom of the cap body. The resilience of the coil spring causes the cam contact portion to press the cam portion and retains the retracted position.
