Self-aligning latching interface for a latching actuator

A latching assembly includes a hinge defining a slot, the slot having a slot length and a slot width, wherein the slot length is greater than the slot width, and a latching actuator having a housing and a plunger partially disposed in the housing, the plunger configured to translate and rotate relative to the housing, the plunger having a distal end with a plunger end length and a plunger end width, wherein the plunger end length is greater than the plunger end width, the plunger configured to be inserted into the slot. The plunger end length is greater than the slot width and the plunger end length is less than the slot length by a clearance amount.

Lid mounting structure and method of mounting lid

A box and a lid that form a fuel filler hole or a charging socket of a car body, the lid including a lid mounting part, and a box mounting arm including a box engaging pin. An open/close spring is attached to the box mounting arm. The box includes a box body, and an arm housing part extending from the box body and including an arm guide that guides the box mounting arm. The box engaging pin of the box mounting arm of the lid is guided into the arm guide of the box and attached to an arm engaging part of the box, while the open/close spring abuts on a connecting point (a spring mounting portion) between an inclined part and a step part of the arm housing part.

Fuel capless unit having variable spring stiffness

A capless fuel system comprises a fuel inlet body, a flapper pivotably mounted within the fuel inlet body, a biasing member associated with the flapper, an axially movable shaft associated with the biasing member, and a tension calibrator associated with the biasing member, whereby tension on the controller spring may be adjusted by the calibrator. The biasing member may be of a variety of biasing elements but is preferably a controller spring. The shaft is reversibly movable from a tensioning position in which the electromechanical driver assembly is deactivated to a tension-lowering position in which the electromechanical driver assembly is activated. The capless fuel system includes a fuel pump nozzle position sensing system. The capless fuel system relies upon a single, multi-function flapper that functions as both the capless fuel system debris cover and a sealing member to prevent evaporative emission leaks.

FUEL FILLER STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE

A lock pin is arranged so as to be projected from a side wall of a concave region, in which a fuel filler port of a vehicle is arranged, toward the inside of the concave region. In addition, a retainer placed around the lock pin on an inner side of the side wall of the concave region and a protector supported by the retainer so as to be placed in a region close to the lock pin are provided. The protector has a detent pin to prevent the retainer from rotating relative to the lock pin.

Provided is a lid device, which is compact and can be installed in an efficient manner. The lid device (20) releasably locks a lid (10) provided with a hinge (12) in a closed position. The lid device is provided with a push lifter (32) that alternates between an extended state and a retracted state each time the lid is pushed, a motor (46) placed next to the push lifter, a lock member (18) and a transmission mechanism (64) for transmitting the output of the motor. The lock member and the transmission mechanism are positioned between the push lifter and a side profile of the drive unit remote from the push lifter, and the lock member is moveable in a direction substantially perpendicular to a lengthwise direction of the push lifter and a direction from the push lifter toward the drive unit.

LID MOUNTING STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF MOUNTING LID

A box and a lid that form a fuel filler hole or a charging socket of a car body, the lid including a lid mounting part, and a box mounting arm including a box engaging pin. The box engaging pin of the box mounting arm of the lid is guided into the arm guide of the box and attached to an arm engaging part of the box, while the open/close spring abuts on a connecting point (a spring mounting portion) between an inclined part and a step part of the arm housing part.

TANK CLOSURE

A closure of a tank of a motor vehicle for closing a filler neck gas- and fluid-tight, having a closure fastened to a flap, the flap being fastened to a vehicle body of the motor vehicle such that it is movable into an open or closed position, the closure including a seal, which causes the closure to close against the filler neck. The tank closure should be easy for a user to handle and have a relatively simple design and be economical to manufacture. This is achieved in that the seal is electromechanically or pneumatically adjustable with the aid of an actuator.

Elastically averaged vehicle door assembly

A vehicle fuel door assembly includes a cover comprising a plurality of alignment features fixedly disposed relative to the cover, the plurality of alignment features formed of an elastically deformable material. The assembly also includes a hinge comprising a plurality of alignment elements fixedly disposed relative to the hinge, each of the alignment features interferingly, deformably and matingly engageable with a respective alignment element, the alignment features elastically deforming to an elastically averaged final configuration that aligns the cover relative to the hinge in six planar orthogonal directions by averaging the elastic deformation of the respective alignment features.
