VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM

A vehicle security system may be automatically activated when a vehicle (e.g., car or truck) is temporarily stopped. Specifically, if a car is stopped at a gas station or other type of temporary stop (e.g., where a car would not be fully closed and locked) the vehicle security system may engage (e.g., based on opening of a gas cap cover). The vehicle security system monitors for theft of contents from inside a vehicle in a temporary stopped state. The vehicle security system may lock different doors based on different conditions. In some cases, only some doors (and not all doors) will be locked. In a temporary stop condition, a vehicle may not be fully locked to engage a standard anti-theft security system. If a driver's attention is diverted during the temporary stopped condition a quick and quiet theft scenario (e.g., a reach and grab) may be attempted.

Electrified vehicle including remote terminals accessible via charging port door

This disclosure relates to an electrified vehicle having remote terminals accessible via a charging port door. An example electrified vehicle a charging port configured to couple to a plug to charge the electrified vehicle, and remote terminals. The electrified vehicle can be jump started via the remote terminals. Further, the electrified vehicle includes a charging port door moveable between a closed position, a normal open position in which the charging port is accessible such that a plug may couple to the charging port to charge the electrified vehicle, and an extended open position in which the charging port door has moved beyond the normal open position. The remote terminals are accessible when the charging port door is in the extended open position.

A door assembly that includes a pocket having a biasing bore configured to accommodate a biasing member; a bezel attached to the pocket; and a door having a cam and at least one axle. The bezel has at least one axle slot. The at least one axle is received into the at least one axle slot and the biasing member is configured to apply an urging force onto the cam.

Lid opening and closing device for vehicle

A lid opening and closing device for a vehicle which includes a restriction member that can operate between a restriction position at which movement of a rod at the lid closed position is restricted and a restriction release position at which the restriction is released, an electric motor that operates for a predetermined time in response to a door switching between a locked state and an unlocked state for driving the restriction member, and a case that houses the restriction member and the electric motor, wherein at least the restriction release position of the restriction member is resiliently held by a holding mechanism. Thus, even when the restriction member stops at position halfway between the restriction release position and the restriction position, convenience is enhanced by carrying out an operation of locking the door by moving the rod to the lid closed position without requiring an unlocking operation.

LOCK OF A MOTOR VEHICLE LID WITH POSITION SENSOR

A lock of a motor vehicle lid has a box and a cover, a locking pin provided with a head-that protrudes from the cover to engage with a housing of a lid in order to close the lid. The locking pin is internally empty and has a through axial channel. A central pin is mounted with the possibility of sliding in an axial direction in the through axial channel of the locking pin. A spring is disposed between the box and the central pin to push the central pin and the locking pin to the extracted position. Detection is provided in the box to detect when the central pin is in retracted position or in extracted position.

Door opening modules for vehicle fuel systems

This disclosure is directed to vehicle fuel systems that include door opening modules for controlling a fuel door opening sequence. An exemplary door opening module may include an actuator (e.g., a motor, an electromagnet, a solenoid, etc.) for automatically moving the fuel door to an ajar position after a fuel tank depressurization sequence is completed. Sound messages may be communicated to a user during the depressurization sequence by an audio actuator.
