Charge port covering assembly and method
A charge port covering assembly includes, among other things, doors moveable between a covering position where the doors block access to a charge port, and an accessing position where the doors permit access to the charge port. A door release assembly includes a portion that tilts in response to movement of a charger toward an engaged position with the charge port to permit movement of the doors to the accessing position. A charge port covering method includes, among other things, blocking access to a charge port using a doors in a covering position, and tilting a portion of a door release assembly with a charger. The tilting permits a transitioning of the doors from the covering position to an accessing position where the charger can couple with the charge port.
FUEL FILLER STRUCTURE
A fuel filler structure includes a vehicle body panel, a filler housing, a filler tube cap and a tether. The vehicle body panel defines a fuel filler opening. The filler housing has an outboard side and an inboard side. The outboard side is installed to the vehicle body panel at least partially surrounding the fuel filler opening and is dimensioned to receive and surround a portion of a fuel filler tube. The filler tube cap is configured to removably attach to the fuel filler tube at least partially within the filler housing. The tether is attached at a first end to the filler tube cap and is attached at a second end to the filler housing for pivoting movement about a vertical axis.
CLOSE-OUT ASSEMBLY AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE CLOSE-OUT ASSEMBLY
A close-out assembly includes a housing and an inlet. The housing includes a wall that surrounds an opening. The wall includes an outer edge adjacent to the face plate and an inner edge. The inlet is coupled to the wall, and the inlet is accessible through the opening. The assembly includes a door coupled to the housing that is movable relative to the housing. The assembly includes a seal formed to the wall at the outer edge of the wall and the inner edge of the wall. The door engages one part of the seal when the door is in a closed position, and the inlet engages another part of the seal regardless of the position of the door. A method of manufacturing the assembly includes positioning a housing relative to a mold, and molding an elastomeric material to the housing using the mold to form a seal.
CHARGING OR FUELING RECESS AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
A charging or fueling recess for use in a body opening of a vehicle, which has a recess body and a hinge housing as a rigid part made of a first plastic, wherein the recess body is formed integrally with the hinge housing, wherein the hinge housing has a lower part and an upper part, wherein the charging or fueling recess also has a hinge housing sealing body as a flexible part made of a second plastic which is softer than the first plastic, wherein the hinge housing sealing body is arranged at least sectionally between the lower part and the upper part, wherein the recess body, the hinge housing and the hinge housing sealing body are produced using a two-component injection-molding process.
VEHICLE START-UP MECHANISM
A vehicle start-up mechanism is provided in a vehicle configured to travel while occupants are boarded in a vehicle cabin. The vehicle start-up mechanism includes: a first vehicle start-up switch configured to switch the state of the vehicle between the start-up state and the halt state; and a switch box provided on an outer surface of the vehicle and having the first vehicle start-up switch. The vehicle has an autonomous driving function.
Vehicle port device
Provided is a vehicle port device that includes a lid (38) that selectively closes an opening (44) of a port accommodating space facing outwardly on a vehicle body, a first display unit (52) positioned in the port accommodating space, and a second display unit (54) configured to indicate a failure in the port module and positioned in the port accommodating space. The lid includes a translucent part (46A) opposing the first display unit and an opaque part (46B) opposing the second display unit in a closed state of the lid.
CHARGING SOCKET RECESS OR FUEL FILLER RECESS FOR INSERTING INTO A VEHICLE BODY OPENING OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A charging or fueling well for insertion into a body opening of a motor vehicle, wherein the charging or fueling well has an outer well body and an inner well region, which surrounds a through opening, into which a charging plug connector for charging a battery of the motor vehicle or a fuel nozzle or tank filler pipe can be inserted. The outer well body includes, at least in some region or regions, a preferably opaque or only slightly translucent plastics material. The inner well region includes, at least in some region or regions, a transparent or translucent plastics material and is formed integrally with the material of the outer well body.
VEHICLE FUEL INLET PORT STRUCTURE
An fuel inlet port structure includes an inlet box having a box shape and having a box opening at its bottom, an inner panel disposed further inward of a vehicle with respect to the inlet box, and an inlet shield inserted through the box opening of the inlet box from outward of the vehicle and disposed between the inlet box and the inner panel. The inlet shield includes a barrel portion having a groove extending circumferentially along part of an entire circumference of an outer surface of the barrel portion at an outer edge.
VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH HIGH PRESSURE TANK
A vehicle equipped with a high pressure tank has mounted in the interior of a vehicle body a high pressure tank having a resin liner and a reinforced layer, the vehicle comprising a tank chamber, a filling port, a concave portion in which the filling port and a ventilation port are disposed, a fuel lid capable of opening and closing an opening of the concave portion, and a ventilation passage that allows communication between the ventilation port and the tank chamber. When the fuel lid is opened, the ventilation port is opened to the exterior of the vehicle body, whereas when the fuel lid is closed, the ventilation port is covered by the fuel lid in a state in which the ventilation port is allowed to communicate with the exterior of the vehicle body.
Fuel lid structure
A fuel lid structure includes: a lid box constituting a fuel opening portion of a vehicle body; a lid hinge that is made of resin and is pivotable with respect to the lid box; a fuel lid body pivotably attached to the lid box via the lid hinge; and an alerting unit configured to alert a replenishment worker to a body or the like of the replenishment worker hitting the fuel lid body in an open state by at least one of imparting of a sense of resistance and emission of a sound.
