VIRTUAL IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

A virtual image display device includes a light source unit, a polarization switching unit, an image generation unit, an optical path unit and a projection unit. The polarization switching unit switches a polarization direction of a light beam emitted from the light source unit. The optical path unit includes a first optical path through which the light beam having the first polarization direction travels and a second optical path through which the light beam having the second polarization direction travels. A first virtual image is displayed at a first distance with the light beam that has traveled through the first optical path. A second virtual image is displayed at a second distance farther than the first distance with the light beam that has traveled through the second optical path.

The display system includes: stroke sensors that detect position information of working equipment relative to a body; a real image display unit; a combiner; and a display controller. Based on the position information of the working equipment, the display controller controls a displayed position of work-support information along a surface of the combiner and a depthwise displayed position of the work-support information defined in a forward direction relative to a cab. A projection image of the work-support information visible to an operator is thus displayed around the working equipment.

SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR DISPLAYING INFORMATION FROM A MOBILE COMPUTER IN A VEHICLE

A system for displaying information from a mobile computer in a vehicle is provided. The system is comprised of a screen, means for projecting images from the mobile computer onto the screen, means to determine a driver of the vehicle's position with respect to the vehicle, and means to adjust the orientation of the images on the screen based upon the position of the driver. The screen is transparent and is mounted on the vehicle. The screen is viewable from inside the vehicle and from outside the vehicle. The system is configured to reverse the orientation of the images on the screen based upon the driver being in front of the vehicle.

Projection Display Device for Vehicle

A head up display apparatus capable of reducing a time period during which a user cannot visually recognize a virtual image while preventing damage due to sunlight and a control method thereof are provided. According to the present invention, it is possible to contribute to Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A video display 35 displays a video and emits video light of the displayed video. A mirror (video light projector) M1 projects the video light emitted from the video display 35 to a display region 5 so as to be reflected, thereby causing a user to visually recognize the projected video light as a virtual image. A shutter 68 is provided on an optical path 30 of the video light and switches to an optical path forming state in which the optical path of the video light is formed or an optical path non-forming state in which the optical path of the video light is not formed.

IMAGE IRRADIATION DEVICE

A HUD includes an image generation unit and a controller. The image generation unit emits first light for generating a first virtual image object to be displayed at a position apart from a vehicle by a first distance, and second light for generating a second virtual image object to be displayed at a position apart from the vehicle by a second distance longer than the first distance. The controller controls the image generation unit. The controller causes information being displayed on at least one of the first virtual image object and the second virtual image object to be displayed on the other of the first virtual image object and the second virtual image object, based on information related to traveling of the vehicle and an instruction from an occupant of the vehicle.

Provided are a bezel body and a vehicular display device that effectively reduces a sense of discomfort provided to a passenger by making reflection on a windshield less visible. Since a reflection portion is formed in a predetermined area on a lower surface of a light guide member at the rear side, the guided external light is easy to reflect upward, whereby light can efficiently be emitted from the light guide member toward a descending wall. Therefore, this configuration can prevent the descending wall from being darkly reflected on a windshield, thereby making the reflection less visible and effectively reducing a sense of discomfort provided to the passenger.
