A control system for hybrid vehicles to properly select an operating mode during autonomous operation is provided. An operating mode of the hybrid vehicle is selected from a hybrid mode and an electric vehicle mode. A controller that is configured to: determine an existence of a passenger in a vehicle compartment; select the electric vehicle mode in a case that the hybrid vehicle is operated autonomously while carrying the passenger; and select the hybrid mode in a case that the hybrid vehicle is operated autonomously without carrying the passenger.

The server generates integrated data by integrating execution results of the game acquired from another terminal device, and computes a reference value for execution results of the game based on the integrated data. The terminal device or the server assigns a difficulty level of the game for the terminal device based on the execution result corresponding to the occupant and the reference value. The terminal device reflects the difficulty level on the game.

Parked Vehicle Interior Lifeform Recognition
A dongle that may be plugged into an On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) port of a vehicle and provide notification if a human or animal is left within a parked car. The dongle accesses a first sensor from the vehicle's communication system and a second sensor from within the dongle. If data from the first and second sensors exceeds predetermined threshold values programmed into the dongle's memory, then the dongle sends out a response signal. The response signal may be sent to an owner's cellular phone or to a 911 dispatch center. Additional sensors within the vehicle, or placed within the dongle, may also be used to verify the presence of a human or animal left within the parked vehicle.

An apparatus includes an object for sitting or lying on, a plurality of sensors arranged within the object for sitting or lying on, and a signal processing unit connected to the sensors. The signal processing unit is provided to generate, on the basis of the sensor signals, an output signal which describes a posture and/or a movement of a person using the object for sitting or lying on. The generated output signal indicates a center of gravity of the person and/or a physiological process occurring in the person.

Disclosed is a seat including: sensors which includes a first cushion sensor provided at a seat cushion in a position corresponding to buttocks of an occupant, a second cushion sensor provided at the seat cushion and located farther frontward than the first cushion sensor, a first back sensor provided at a seat back and located in a lower position thereof, and a second back sensor provided at the seat back and located above the first back sensor; and a controller connected to the sensors and thereby allowed to acquire pressure values from the respective sensors. The controller is configured to identify the motion of the occupant based on outputs of at least two sensors of the first cushion sensor, the second cushion sensor, the first back sensor, and the second back sensor.
