A modular vehicle seating system includes a vehicle body (70, 72) with vehicle interior connection features (60, 62, 64) and a modular vehicle seating insert. The seating insert comprises a shell structure (10. 10, 10) to be received within the vehicle body. The shell structure has a vehicle body facing surface and a vehicle interior facing surface, wherein the vehicle interior facing surface defines seat module receiving portions (12, 14). Vehicle connection features (80, 82, 84) are operatively provided at a side of the vehicle body facing surface of the shell structure for cooperation with the vehicle interior connection features to fix the shell structure to the vehicle body. Seat module connection features (40) are associated with each of the seat module receiving portions. The system further includes one or more seat module (90), each with a seat base (94) and a seat clamping connector (91, 92, 92).

VEHICLE SEAT AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING A VEHICLE SEAT

A vehicle seat may have a seat part which can be moved from a usage position into a non-usage position, a seat back, a base, and a seat kinematics connecting the seat part pivotably to the base. The seat kinematics may have a rocker which by a first rotary joint is deflected pivotably on an adapter connected to the base and by a second rotary joint is deflected pivotably on the seat part. A spacing between the base and the seat part can be changed by selection of a first articulation point for articulation of the first pivot joint on the adapter fixedly connected to the base, and/or by selection of a second articulation point for articulation of the second pivot joint on the seat part. A method for assembling such a vehicle seat is also provided.

The component may comprise a cover moveable from a closed position to cover the mechanism to an open position to uncover the mechanism. The cover may move in response to engagement and disengagement of the hook with the member. The module may comprise a pin to adjust the mechanism.

A locking device for a vehicle seat including: a striker and a lock mechanism including: a base plate; a hook supported rotatably by a hook shaft to the base plate and capable of forming a locked state and an unlocked state; a pawl supported rotatably by a pawl shaft to the base plate; and a cam supported rotatably by the pawl shaft to the base plate, and the cam is rotationally biased by a first torsion coil spring, and the pawl is rotationally biased by a second torsion coil spring, and the coil of the second torsion coil spring has a larger diameter and a smaller length in a central axis direction of the coil than the coil of the first torsion coil spring, and one end of the first torsion coil spring is provided on a radially outer side than the coil of the second torsion coil spring.

The seat back includes a back frame having an opening and a pipe frame comprising a pipe member, and the pipe frame includes a distal end part. The lower part of the pipe frame extends through the opening such that the distal end part is located inside a space defined by the back frame and the reclining device, and the lower part of the pipe frame is fixed to the back frame at the opening. Rotation center of the reclining device is set so as to be aligned with axial center of the lower part of the pipe frame.

A body frame includes a first frame section 21, a second frame section 22 extending upward from a rear portion of the first frame section 21, and a third frame section 23 extending rearward from an upper portion of the second frame section 22. An up-down section 33a of the seat frame 33 is attachable to the first frame section 21 and removable therefrom, and a front-rear section 33b of the seat frame 33 is attachable to the second frame section 22 or the third frame section 23 and removable therefrom. A battery 42 is between the up-down section 33a and the second frame section 22 and between the front-rear section 33b and the first frame section 21.

RELEASE HANDLE AND INTEGRATED WARNING DEVICE

A release lever assembly configured to unlock a lock mechanism of a seat assembly is provided. The release lever assembly may include a lever arm, a cable, and an indicator device. The lever arm may be pivotally connected to the seat assembly. The cable may include a first end that is configured to be fixed to the lever arm and a second end that is configured to be connected to the lock mechanism. The indicator device may extend from the first end of the cable so that when the release lever assembly is mounted on the seat assembly, the lever arm is rotatable to unlock the lock mechanism, and the indicator device is configured to extend out of an aperture defined by the seat assembly when the lock is unlocked.

The seat rail has a U-shaped profile with a lower flange, two web portions, two upper flanges, a gap between the upper flanges, and a cavity inside the seat rail. The seat rail adapter includes two mounting parts capable of being inserted through the gap into the cavity inside the seat rail, such that, when inserted, a hook portion of each of the mounting parts is engaged with the cavity, and a shaft portion of each of the two mounting parts extends through the gap to outside the seat rail. Further, the shaft portions include a rounding so as to allow insertion of one mounting part into the cavity by a swivel movement, when the other mounting part is already inserted therein.
