System and method for detecting an unattended living presence in a vehicle
A computer-implemented method for detecting an unattended living presence in a vehicle having at least two doors, comprising determining, before the vehicle starts moving, a first total number of vehicle door openings utilizing a non added-on door sensor integrated in the vehicle, each of the door sensors is associated with at least one of the at least two doors and is indicative of a door state, wherein each opening of a door indicates a change in a door state of a door, out of the at least two doors, from a door closed state to a door open state; determining, after the vehicle has stopped moving and until being locked, a second total number of vehicle door openings utilizing the non added-on door sensors; and in case the first total number exceeds the second total number, outputting an alert on a possible unattended living presence in a vehicle.
SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING A NOTIFICATION OF A PRESENCE OF AN OCCUPANT IN A VEHICLE THROUGH HISTORICAL PATTERNS AND METHOD THEREOF
The systems and methods disclosed herein are directed to providing a notification of a presence of an occupant in a vehicle before arriving at a destination. In an illustrative embodiment, the vehicle may include a location system for tracking routes taken or traveled by the vehicle. The vehicle may include a detection system for determining whether the occupant is in the vehicle along those routes traveled by the vehicle. The vehicle may also include a notification system. The notification system may store the routes traveled by the vehicle with and without the occupant in the vehicle. The notification system may provide a notification when a route is taken with the occupant and the route is not associated with the occupant based on the historical patterns of the routes traveled by vehicle with and without the occupant.
Child seat monitoring system and method
Embodiments include a vehicle comprising a user interface, a first sensor coupled to a child seat for detecting a child seat belt status; a gear selector for selecting a vehicle gear, and a processor communicatively coupled to the first sensor and the gear selector, and configured to cause the user interface to present a first notification if a first alarm condition is detected based on the child seat belt status and a selected gear. Embodiments also include a method of providing child seat monitoring in a vehicle, the method comprising receiving a gear position from a vehicle gear selector, receiving a child seat belt status from a first sensor coupled to a vehicle child seat, and presenting a first notification using a vehicle user interface if the gear position is a non-park position and the child seat belt status is unbuckled.
INTEGRATED VEHICLE OCCUPANT SAFETY SYSTEM
An integrated vehicle occupant safety system to alert an emergency responder at regular intervals is disclosed. The integrated vehicle occupant safety system comprises a sensor module placed at one or more predetermined positions inside a vehicle is configured to send a signal to a communication device via a wireless transmitter after a predefined time on detecting the occupant activity inside the vehicle. A smartphone module and an engine control module is configured to activate a vehicle ignition system after another predefined time via the signal transmitted by the sensor module on detecting the occupant activity inside the vehicle. A vehicle tracking system is configured to transmit a location of the vehicle to the emergency responder within the predefined time to rescue the occupant. A method of alerting an emergency responder using an integrated vehicle occupant safety system is disclosed.
Child seat occupancy warning device
A child seat occupancy warning device for warning a driver of an occupied child seat includes an alarm. The alarm is configured to couple to a child safety seat that is positioned in a vehicle. The alarm is reversibly and operationally couplable to a driver's side seatbelt of the vehicle. The alarm is activated upon coupling to the driver's side seatbelt. The alarm is compelled to issue a warning upon decoupling of the alarm from the driver's side seatbelt. The alarm is positioned to couple to the driver's side seatbelt such that the driver's side seatbelt is fixed in an extended configuration. Decoupling of the alarm from the driver's side seatbelt is required for a driver to exit the vehicle. Decoupling of the alarm from the driver's side seatbelt compels the alarm to issue a warning to the driver that there is an occupied child safety seat in the vehicle.
METHOD, SYSTEM, AND DEVICE FOR PROTECTING VEHICLE OCCUPANTS
A system, method, and device for protecting a vehicle occupant over a computerized network. There is an electronic seat pad with an occupant sensor, a driver sensor control module that detects proximity a driver's portable electronic computing device relative to the vehicle; and a key-location sensor that detects proximity of a vehicle key to the vehicle. There is a system management module that determines alert statuses and sends alert and safety notifications to a remote notification device, which automatically registers an alert if a threshold level of safety notifications are not received. There may be pressure, temperature, signal strength, CO2, IR, and other sensors. There is a state library that may be updated to identify additional dangerous states based on sensor readings.
Occupant sensing method and occupant sensing device
An occupant sensing method includes steps of: sensing installation of a child seat on a seat of a vehicle; storing a detection value of a load sensor which is provided to be attached to the seat and detects an input load as a first load value, when the installation of the child seat is sensed; storing a detection value of the load sensor as a second load value when a predetermined time period has elapsed from a time point at which the installation of the child seat is sensed; and estimating a load change amount at the time of getting on/off which is a change amount of a load that is generated as the occupant gets on/off the child seat, based on a difference value between the first load value and the second load value.
Child Passenger Safety Seat Emergency Cooling And Notification System
A system for detecting hot car seat situations, manually cooling the child in those situations, and facilitating one or more alert notifications is disclosed. An apparatus receives sensor data that it uses to detect the presence of a child in a car seat in a vehicle. Multiple sensors provide added security against false positives. When a child is detected, the apparatus activates a cooling flow of air towards the child if the temperature rises above a threshold. The apparatus waits until the vehicle is not moving and off before initiating notifications to one or more subscribing devices. Once off, and once the temperature of the child further rises or has the air flow on for a period of time, the apparatus sends a notification to the subscribing devices. If the child is not removed within a set period of time, then emergency responders are notified.
Integrated Child Safety Seat
An infant safety car seat seamlessly and permanently integrated into the bench seat between two adult seats or replacing the adult seats if more than one is incorporated into the vehicle. The child seat is sunken or not below and behind the vehicle bench and seat and safety harnesses are permanently installed to secure an infant in the safety seat. The seat adjusts to allow forward or rearward facing configurations suitable to different ages of the infant, from zero to eight years old. Security features are internally integrated to prevent the incidence of leaving an unbuckled and/or an unattended infant in a vehicle that includes some combination of a scale, hasps sensors in display and video monitor of cameras in screen.
