INFANT CAR SEAT
An infant car seat is adapted for being installed on a seat carrier. The infant car seat includes a seat shell, a latch, a release unit, and a resilient member. The seat shell is formed with a receiving space having an opening. The latch is disposed in the receiving space, and is adapted for engaging with a ledge of the seat carrier. The release unit includes an actuating member operable to drive the latch to move from a rest position, where a portion of the latch protrudes out of the opening for engaging with the ledge of the seat carrier, to a retracted position, where the latch is retracted into the receiving space. The resilient member is connected between the seat shell and the latch for biasing the latch toward the rest position.
Child safety seat
The invention relates to a child safety seat for fastening to a vehicle seat, said child safety seat having a seat element, a backrest element, a first side element with a first inflatable air chamber, and a second side element with a second inflatable air chamber. The first side element is connected to a first longitudinal edge of the backrest element and a first longitudinal edge of the seat element, and the second side element is connected to a second longitudinal edge of the backrest element and a second longitudinal edge of the seat element. A first tensile element is connected to the first longitudinal edge of the backrest element and the first longitudinal edge of the seat element, and a second tensile element is connected to the second longitudinal edge of the backrest element and the second longitudinal edge of the seat element.
Foot prop for a child safety seat
The invention relates to a foot prop adapted to be attached to a child safety seat, comprising an elongate component, comprising an upper portion and a lower portion, wherein the lower portion is slidable relative to the upper portion in longitudinal direction of the elongate component. The foot prop is configured such that a force applied in the longitudinal direction causes the lower portion to automatically move away from the upper portion whenever the force exceeds a predetermined threshold, so that the length of the elongate component is increased; and the foot prop is configured such that the lower and the upper portion are releasably blocked against relative movement towards one another. The invention further relates to a seat base and a child safety seat comprising a foot prop.
Car seat holder
A car seat holder is used to support a portable infant car seat by providing a flexible support. The apparatus comprises a first support, a second support, and a canvas. The first support and the second support are elongated members that extend across a shopping cart. The first support and the second support are rigid members that distribute the weight of an infant carriage device. The canvas is a flexible surface that extends from the first support to the second support across the shopping cart. The canvas provides a mechanism for transmitting the weight of the infant carriage device to the first support and the second support. In this way, the first support and second support hold the canvas in optimal position for holding an infant car seat. This arrangement frees up space within a shopping cart.
CHILD SEAT ANCHOR INCLUDING ENERGY ABSORBER
A vehicle seat includes a seatback and a child seat tether anchor supported by the seatback. The child seat tether anchor has a first member fixed to the seatback and a second member rotatably supported by the seatback. One of the first member and the second member defines a cavity with internal threads and the other of the first and second member is received in the cavity and has external threads engaged with the internal threads. A strap is on the second member. An energy absorber is in the cavity. The energy absorber is compressible relative to the first member and the second member.
Vehicle-mountable child safety seat assembly
A vehicle-mountable child safety seat assembly is disclosed. The seat assembly includes a safety seat and a prop assembly mounted with respect to the safety seat. The prop assembly has a stowed position and a safely deployed position. The prop assembly includes: a leg assembly; a foot assembly mounted to the leg assembly; and a first sensor, for example a tilt sensor, for sensing when the prop assembly is not in the stowed position. A second sensor for sensing when the prop assembly is not in the safely deployed position is also provided. A warning system is also disclosed. The warning system changes from a timing state to the warning state if the second sensor senses that the prop assembly is not in its safely deployed position by a pre-determined time after the change from a standby state to a timing state.
Shoulder strap for an infant car seat carrier
The invention is directed to a shoulder strap for an infant car seat carrier. The strap provides a large shoulder pad near the upper end, to cushion the weight as it rests on the user's shoulder. The upper and lower ends of the strap terminate in large oval snap hooks. Each snap hook provides a screw nut on each side. One of the screw nuts can only be completely removed with a tool, and therefore operates as a hinge, such that the user may easily attach and remove the strap with one hand. A buckle near the center of the strap allows the user to adjust the length of the strap. In a second embodiment, the upper and lower ends of the strap terminate in inverted V-shaped straps, each of which provides two spring snap hooks which may be secured to the car seat frame on the side surface of the car seat carrier.
CAR SEAT INSERT AND INFANT CARRIER
A soft, fabric-based car seat insert which is also an infant carrier is disclosed herein. The car seat insert includes slits that allow for the car seat harness to secure an infant when unfastened. The insert may also function as an infant carrier when removed from the car seat. When the insert is removed from the car seat, the infant's arms slide out of the unfastened car seat harness, which may preferably remain in the car seat, and the infant is safely lifted in the insert while remaining secured in the insert as the insert is lifted out of the car seat. The infant may be secured in the insert with an infant securing system. The insert may also include bag straps, which may also act as handles. The slits of the insert may then be fastened such that the insert forms an infant carrier.
Baby carrier
A baby carrier system is disclosed herein. The baby carrier system includes a baby carrier and a waist strap. The baby carrier includes a main body, a baby securing system, and shoulder straps. The waist strap may preferably be detachable and adjustable. In some embodiments, the baby carrier system may be a multi-functional baby carrier system that includes a multi-functional baby carrier configured for use as a car seat insert, where the multi-functional baby carrier includes fastener slits that allow for a car seat harness to secure a baby when the fastener slits are unfastened.
