An apparatus for seating a child in a vehicle may include a seat, a backrest coupled to the seat at an angle, and an upper support movably coupled to the backrest. The upper support is configured to move relative to the backrest between an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration. The upper support may be non-load bearing. The apparatus may further include a rethread harness system. A method of adjusting a children's car seat may include removing a locking component from a first receiving loop. The method may further include sliding a non-load bearing upper support along a backrest of the children's car seat. The method may further include inserting the locking component into a second receiving loop.

A seating device includes a headrest movably connected to a seat body. An adjustment mechanism is provided to adjust the position of the headrest relative to the seat body. An operating unit has a driving member to actuate the adjustment mechanism, and a handle portion bending from the driving member. The driving member is movable between non-operative and operative positions. In the non-operative position, the handle portion abuts against the headrest, and the driving member is inoperative to actuate the adjustment mechanism. In the operative position, the handle portion protrudes outward from the headrest, and the driving member is able to actuate the adjustment mechanism.

A child safety seat comprising a seat shell comprising a seat portion and a back portion, an adjustable backrest configured to be moveable with respect to the seat shell between a first position, where at least a portion of the backrest is moved away from the back portion and closer to a front edge of the seat portion, reducing the available seating area for an occupant of the seat, and a second position, where at least a portion of the backrest is moved toward the back portion and further from the front edge of the seat portion, increasing the available seating area for the occupant of the seat.

The present disclosure relates to a child safety seat. The child safety seat includes: a seat base defining a receiving groove on a front edge thereof; a buckle connected to the seat base through a crotch belt, and a shape of the buckle being matched with the receiving groove; and a seat cushion covering on the seat base and defining a slot to allow the buckle to pass through. When the buckle is no longer used, the buckle can be received in the receiving groove without removing the buckle, which does not affect the normal use of the seat base, and improves the convenience of using the child safety seat for users.

A child safety seat includes a first and a second restraining device, and an alert device and a first and a second switch serially connected in a series circuit. Each of the first and second restraining device is deployable to engage with a corresponding structure provided in a vehicle, each of the first and second restraining devices being operable independently and having an idle position and a deployed position. The first and second switches are respectively coupled operatively to the first and second restraining device, and are respectively closed when the first restraining device is in the deployed position and the second restraining device in the idle position. The alert device is thereby activable to emit an alert signal when the first restraining device is in the deployed position and the second restraining device in the idle position.

A child safety seat includes a restraining device, and an alert device and a switch serially connected in a series circuit. The restraining device includes a strap and a tether connector provided at a free end of the strap, the restraining device having an idle position and a deployed position, the restraining device being arranged in the deployed position to engage with a corresponding structure provided in a vehicle for restraining the child safety seat. The switch is operatively coupled to the restraining device and has an open state and a closed state, each of the open state and the closed state of the switch uniquely corresponding to one of the idle position and the deployed position of the restraining device. An accessory mount for use with a child safety seat having a base including a rotating mechanism for detachably connecting a seat shell for a child. The base enables rotation of the seat shell into forward-facing, rearward-facing, or side-facing configurations. The base also includes an upstanding backrest portion and is anchorable in the vehicle. The backrest portion includes a reinforcement structure disposed in an upper end that is engageable to a portion of the seat shell when the seat is forward-facing to reinforce the seat shell anchorage. The accessory mount includes an attachment base adapted to matingly engage a portion of the upstanding backrest portion when the seat shell is rearward-facing to allow, for example, a mirror to be attached providing a view of the infant occupant to a vehicle driver.

A child restraint includes a seat base adapted to rest on a vehicle seat and a juvenile seat adapted to couple to the seat base. The seat base includes a seat-base foundation configured to support the juvenile seat and a tether strap coupled to an upper end of the seat-base foundation and adapted to be fixed to a tether-strap anchor coupled to the vehicle seat.

A seat base for a child restraint includes a seat-base foundation adapted to rest on a vehicle seat to support the child restraint in the vehicle. The seat-base foundation has a belt-path surface configured to receive a seat belt. The seat base further includes a seat-belt retainer coupled to the seat-base foundation for movement from an opened position to a closed position to clamp a vehicle seat belt between the seat-belt retainer and the seat-base foundation.
