Method and apparatus for a rotatable child safety seat

A rotatable child safety seat can include a seat shell for receiving a child therein, a rotating pedestal, and a seat base. The pedestal and seat shell can rotate with respect to the seat base. The pedestal can include a locking pin and the seat base can include a multitude of pin receiving apertures that allow a user to rotate the seat shell and pedestal in either a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction at a number of different angles or positions. The child safety seat can also include two separate seat belt/LATCH tether pathways. One seat belt/LATCH tether pathway can be provided on the seat back of the seat shell and can be used when the child safety seat is in a forward-facing configuration and the other seat belt/LATCH tether pathway can be provided in the seat base and used when in a rearward-facing configuration.

CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM

A child restraint system is provided and configured to be installed on a vehicle seat to support a child. The child restraint system includes a main body, a reclining foot and an adjusting foot. The main body includes a seat portion and a backrest portion. The reclining foot is pivotably coupled to the main body. The adjusting foot is pivotably coupled to the main body or the reclining foot. The adjusting foot is pivotable between a forward position and a rearward position. No matter when the child restraint system is in a rearward-facing direction or a forward-facing direction, the child restraint system can be supported stably on the vehicle seat, and a recline position of the child restraint system can be adjusted in a wide adjustment range by pivoting of the reclining foot. Therefore, the child restraint system is convenient to use.

Child safety seat

A child safety seat includes a seat shell having a seat portion and a backrest, the seat portion having a front end opposite to the backrest, and an extension member connected with the seat shell and having a forward end. The extension member is configurable between a first position where the forward end deploys forward away from the front end of the seat shell, and a second position in which the extension member is retracted toward or removed from the seat shell. The child safety seat has a rear facing configuration of installation, and the forward end of the extension member when in the first position is configured to provide abuttal contact against a seatback of the vehicle seat in the rear facing configuration.

The multi-functional energy absorber may be disposed between the base and the seat shell. The multi-functional energy absorber may be an integral portion of both the seat positioner assembly and the locking assembly.

Raising mechanism and child safety seat therewith

A raising mechanism is adapted for a child safety seat. The child safety seat includes a base and a backrest disposed on the base. The raising mechanism includes a front raising block, a rear raising block, and a driving member. A front end of the front raising block is connected to the base. A rear raising block is connected to the front raising block. The front raising block and the rear raising block form a seating portion cooperatively. The driving member is movably disposed on the base or the backrest. The driving member drives the front raising block and the rear raising block to raise the seating portion. Therefore, the raising mechanism improves sitting comfort and safety and has advantages of simple structure, low manufacturing cost, and easy operation.
