The vehicle seat includes an article placement part which, in the stowed state, protrudes more forward than the seatback and is provided with a support surface that faces upward. The article placement part is preferably an ottoman supported by the seat cushion. The ottoman is preferably pivotable relative to the seat cushion. Also, in the stowed state, the ottoman is preferably pivotable relative to the seat cushion.
