VEHICLE SEAT ASSEMBLY
An assembly includes a seat bottom having a rear and a pair of sides extending in a seat-forward direction from the rear. The assembly includes a seatback rotatably supported by the seat bottom. The assembly includes an active actuator operatively connected to the seatback to rotate the seatback about a vertical axis toward one of the sides of the seat bottom.
CHILD SAFETY SEAT AND SIDE IMPACT PROTECTION DEVICE THEREOF
A child safety seat and a side impact protection device. The side impact protection device comprises a fixed seat assembled on the backrest and a side impact protection block pivotally coupled to the fixed seat via a pivot shaft. The side impact protection block has at least an extended position and a retracted position during a pivoting process around an axis of the pivot shaft in respect to the fixed seat, one of the fixed seat and the side impact protection block has a locking structure, and the other one of the fixed seat and the side impact protection block has a cooperative locking structure being cooperating with the locking structure, the locking structure is automatically locked with the cooperative locking structure when the side impact protection block is pivoted to the extended position around the axis. The side impact protection device is simple in structure and easy in operation.
Armrest assembly moveable between raised and lowered positions
A seat for a vehicle includes a seat back and a seat bottom extending from the seat back along a seat-bottom axis. A track is fixed relative to the seat bottom and is elongated along the seat-bottom axis. A slider is slidably engaged with the track along the seat-bottom axis. A link is pivotally engaged with the slider. An armrest is pivotally engaged with the link. A pyrotechnic actuator connected to the slider. In the event of a sensed vehicle impact, the pyrotechnic actuator pulls the slider to move the armrest to a raised position.
AIRBAG SUPPORT DEVICE FOR VEHICLE SWIVEL SEAT
An airbag support device for a vehicle swivel seat includes: a support frame disposed on a lateral side of a seat back frame; a side airbag disposed on a rear plate of the support frame; a plurality of support bars disposed in an extendable manner on a lateral plate of the support frame; an extension drive bar configured to extend such that the extension drive bar connects the plurality of support bars to each other while extending; and a support bar extension drive assembly, connected to the rear plate of the support frame and the extension drive bar, wherein the support bar extension drive assembly is configured to push the extension drive bar inward and outward and at the same time to extend the support bar when the side airbag is inflated.
VEHICLE ENERGY ABSORBING DEVICE
A vehicle door interior trim assembly includes a trim panel and an armrest supported by the trim panel. The armrest includes an energy absorbing device. The energy absorbing device includes an inboard panel and an outboard panel. The outboard panel is between the inboard panel and the trim panel. The energy absorbing device has a variable crush resistance based on a temperature of the energy absorbing device. A heater is operatively coupled to the energy absorbing device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING AN INTERIOR CONFIGURATION OF A VEHICLE IN RESPONSE TO A VEHICULAR ACCIDENT
A system and method are provided for controlling an interior configuration of a vehicle. The system may include an interior vehicle component; an actuator component configured to adjust/restrict movement of a physical configuration of the interior vehicle component; one or more sensors configured to collect data corresponding to a state of the vehicle, an action of the vehicle, and/or an internal or external environment of the vehicle; and one or more processors configured to receive sensor data and detect, by processing the sensor data, a vehicle accident condition. After the one or more processors detect the vehicle accident condition, the one or more processors may cause the actuator component to adjust the interior vehicle component from a first physical configuration to a second physical configuration, or may cause the actuator component to restrict movement of the interior vehicle component to a predetermined range of physical configurations.
VEHICLE SIDE AIRBAG
An airbag for a vehicle, such as a side airbag, may be mounted to or proximate to a seat assembly on which a passenger may sit. The side airbag may include a chamber and an inflator configured to cause the chamber to expand toward the passenger to slow an acceleration of the passenger responsive to an imminent impact of the vehicle with another object or surface. Upon deployment of the chamber, the side airbag may cause a portion of the seat assembly (a seat tub, seat pan, and/or cushion coupled thereto) to deform toward the passenger seated thereon while remaining occluded from the passenger by the assembly. In some examples, the chamber may be stored in an unfolded position to allow for a more rapid deployment.
VEHICLE SEAT
A seating posture is stabilized for the shoulders of a passenger seated on a vehicle seat. A vehicle seat is provided with a seat back configured to support the seated person from the rear. A shoulder support portion of the seat back configured to support a corresponding one of the shoulders of the seated passenger includes an air cell configured to expand when air is supplied. When the air cell expands, one end portion of the shoulder support portion on the outside in the width direction of the vehicle seat moves more forward than the other end portion of the shoulder support portion on the inside in the width direction.
ADJUSTING INTERIOR CONFIGURATION OF A VEHICLE BASED ON EXTERNAL ENVIRONMENT DATA
A system and method are provided for controlling an interior configuration of a vehicle. The system may include an interior vehicle component, an actuator component configured to adjust a physical configuration of the interior vehicle component, an external communication component configured to collect driving environment data representing an external environment of the vehicle, and one or more processors configured to receive driving environment data and detect, by processing the driving environment data, an external driving condition. When the one or more processors detect the external driving condition, the one or more processors may cause the actuator component to adjust the interior vehicle component from a first physical configuration to a second physical configuration, or may cause the actuator component to restrict movement of the interior vehicle component to a predetermined range of physical configurations.
