Single motor, dual fluid system for a vehicle seat assembly

A motor assembly for a vehicle seat assembly is provided with an electric motor having a motor shaft for rotation in a first direction and a second direction opposite to the first direction, a first fluid transfer device driven by the motor shaft to provide fluid flow therefrom, a one-way clutch assembly driven by the motor shaft, and a second fluid transfer device driven by the motor shaft via the clutch assembly to provide fluid flow therefrom when the clutch assembly is engaged. The second fluid transfer device is decoupled from the motor shaft when the clutch assembly is disengaged. A seat assembly having the motor assembly, and a method of controlling the seat assembly are also provided.

Each slit defines a width that is moveable between a restricted position and a free-flowing position. The width of the first slits can move to the free-flowing position while the width of the second slits remains in the restricted position when the first support area receives a first load for flowing air through the first slits and the passage.

A trim material covers the cushion layer and secures the sub-assembly to the seat back.
