Fishing rod
A fishing rod includes a rod blank which is configured to be attached to a fishing reel on a lower side. The rod blank includes a main portion and a rear grip portion which is continuous to a rod end side of the main portion. An end surface of the rod blank on the rod end side is inclined such that the lower side extends farther in a direction of the rod end side than the upper side.
BRAKING DEVICE, LINE LENGTH MEASURING DEVICE AND FISHING REEL EQUIPPED WITH EITHER DEVICE
I provide a braking device attachable to a body frame having one bearing member that pivotally supports a spool and an operation means for rotating the spool, including another bearing member that pivotally supports the spool; a spool brake; a control board that controls the braking force of the spool brake; a battery that supplies power to the control board; and a cover member that covers the battery and the board.
SPINNING REEL
A spinning reel, includes a reel body, a spool shaft supported by the reel body, a reciprocating mechanism having a slider mounted on the spool shaft and a worm shaft configured to rotate to move the spool shaft and the slider back and forth, and a torque-limiting mechanism that includes the worm shaft, a worm shaft gear that is supported so as to be rotatable with respect to the worm shaft, and a frictional force-generating member disposed between the worm shaft and the worm shaft gear and that is configured to contact the worm shaft or the worm shaft gear to generate a frictional force in a circumferential direction and to permit or cancel transmission of torque from the worm shaft gear to the worm shaft by the frictional force.
Baitcaster with spool drive mechanism
A baitcaster includes a body, a spool, a handle, and a drive. The body defines a proximate end and a distal end opposite the proximate end. The spool extends between the proximate end and the distal end. The handle extends from the proximate end and is configured to receive an input torque. The drive is configured to receive the input torque from the handle at the proximate end and drive the spool through a coupling at the distal end.
FISHING REEL NOISEMAKER
A baitcaster for retrieving a fishing line. The baitcaster includes a housing, a spool, and a noisemaker configured to alert a user in response to rotation of the spool. The spool is positioned at least partially within the housing, defines an inner volume, and includes a spindle. The noisemaker includes a sprocket having a plurality of teeth, a pawl positioned alongside the sprocket, and a set of arms abutting the pawl. The set of arms are positioned on opposite sides of the pawl. The pawl is positioned to engage with the plurality of teeth of the sprocket when the sprocket rotates. The noisemaker creates an audible alert when the pawl engages the plurality of teeth and thereafter disengages from the plurality of teeth of the sprocket.
FISHING REEL AXIAL FORCE DISTRIBUTION
A baitcaster includes a housing, a spool, a drivetrain, a bearing housing, and an input shaft. The housing defines a first member and a second member. The spool is positioned between the first member and the second member. The spool is configured to rotate in a first direction and a second direction. The drivetrain is positioned proximate the first member and is configured to rotate the spool in the first direction and the second direction. The bearing housing is positioned between the spool and the drivetrain. The input shaft is disposed along at least a midpoint of the baitcaster. The input shaft is configured to coaxially align the spool, drivetrain, and bearing housing. An axial force is generated between the spool and the drivetrain. The axial force is distributed through at least a portion of the bearing housing to prohibit the axial force from transferring into the drivetrain.
Splitting line guide
The present invention is a splitting line guide that includes two guide mechanisms that are connected to one another via a driver unit that is connected to a worm shaft. In a first casting position, when a free spool clutch is depressed, the driver unit rotates forwardly. The two guide mechanisms are in turn disconnected from the driver unit. This decreases resistance on the line during casting to increase casting distance and reduce the risk of backlash during casting. When a user is ready to return the line guide to its position where the line guide mechanisms are near each other to help with spooling line, he or she may simply begin cranking a reel. This causes the driver unit to rotate rearwardly. The driver unit may then re-engage the guide mechanisms such that they are arranged closely to one another so that line can evenly be distributed on the spool without any large build up of line in any one spot on the spool.
Fishing reel and fishing tool management system
A fishing reel according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is configured to include a spool capable of winding a fishing line, an operation portion that winds the fishing line, a fishing line unwinding commencement detector that detects the commencement of the unwinding of the fishing line by the fishing reel, and an unwinding interval measuring portion that measures a time interval between the commencement of the unwinding of the fishing line and the commencement of the next unwinding of the fishing line.
REEL BODY FOR A SPINNING REEL
A reel body for a spinning reel includes a foot portion configured to attach to a fishing rod, a housing having a accommodating portion, a leg portion extending from the housing toward the foot portion, and an insert element disposed in the housing and the leg portion. The foot portion, the housing, and the leg portion are integrally formed by injection molding, and the insert element includes a first portion that is disposed in the accommodating portion such that at least a part thereof is exposed, and a second portion that is integrally formed with the first portion and at least a part of which is disposed in a proximal end part of the leg portion.
System and Method for Attaching Fishing Reel to Fishing Rod and Selectively Positioning the Reel Along the Axis of the Fishing Rod
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for providing a fishing rod and reel assembly with a single-hand adjustable rod balance point. The system includes a fishing rod having a handle section supporting a reel seat frame and spool. The reel seat frame and spool are positionable along the handle section to achieve the desired rod balance. The various components are then held in place by a friction fit and a locking nut. Also, the system and method include securely mounting and holding a reel to the rod at any position along the reel seat body to achieve any desired balance point location. Thus, a fisherperson may change reels, spools, line weights, bait, lures, or the like and quickly rebalance the rod and reel assembly for an optimal fishing experience singlehandedly.
