A fishing line spooling station comprises a spool support having a first side and a second side and a side support extending perpendicularly from the first side of the spool support. The spool support includes an opening with side rails and a threaded central shaft. A brake slider having a brake face oriented toward the side support engages the rails and the central shaft and is positioned relative to the side support with a brake slide adjustment thumbscrew. The side support includes a height adjustment slot and a spool spindle extends perpendicularly from the side support.

A preset knob is provided that is not subject to rotation during normal operation of a drag lever used in association with fishing reels having adjustable drag settings. In order to rotate the preset knob in order to adjust its drag settings, it first must be pulled outwardly. As such, when the reel is in use, the preset knob cannot be accidently adjusted by an angler operating the drag lever.

Provided is a bait casting reel including braking magnets that provide braking force against rotation of a spool using magnetic force to prevent backlash of the spool in casting. The bait casting reel allows a user to minimally space a spool and an anti-backlash unit to set the maximum braking force of a braking magnet by bringing the spool and the anti-backlasher in contact with each other when a braking dial for moving the anti-backlasher left and right in the longitudinal direction of the spool is turned to the maximum, in order to prevent the braking magnet from being worn or damaged by coming in contact with the spool due to deformation of the rotary shaft of the spool or a friction washer and to allow the user to freely and easily adjust the braking force of the braking magnet without replacing a part.

A single-bearing reel includes a reel unit, a spool shaft, a support unit, a spool, a first restriction member, a second restriction member, a pair of first seal members, a second seal member, and a third seal member. The pair of first seal members is disposed on an outer peripheral surface of the support unit. One of the pair of first seal members seals between the support unit and the first restriction member. The other of the pair of first seal members seals between the support unit and the second restriction member. The second seal member seals an inner peripheral part of the support unit from an inner peripheral part of the first restriction member. A third seal member seals the inner peripheral part of the support unit from an inner peripheral part of the second restriction member.

The present invention discloses a spinning reel. The spinning reel includes a gear sleeve, said gear sleeve is provided with a helical gear, the main body is pivoted with an face gear for driving the rotation of the helical gear, the face gear is connected with a driving mechanism, said gear sleeve is coaxially penetrated with a main shaft sliding axially inside it, a transmission structure is provided between the gear sleeve and the main shaft for driving the synchronous rotation of the main shaft, a reciprocating driving mechanism is provided between said driving mechanism and the main shaft for driving the main shaft reciprocating drive mechanism for moving the main shaft back and forth, the main shaft is fixed with a spool for winding the fishing line, and the main body is fixed with a winding guide for guiding the fish line to the spool.

A dual-bearing reel includes a reel body, a spool rotatably held between side plates, and a brake unit configured to brake the spool. The brake unit includes a cover portion, a first regulator and a second regulator. The cover portion has a first circumferential part and a second circumferential part, and is mounted to the reel body. The first regulator and the second regulator are covered with the cover portion. The first circumferential part has a first opening exposing at least a part of the first regulator therethrough, whereas the second circumferential part has a second opening exposing at least a part of the second regulator therethrough. The reel body has a first restriction part covering the first opening.

An alarm system for a fishing apparatus that is an ice fishing tip-up employing a sensor alarm unit with a housing, processor, sensor, power source, and onboard wireless communications, the unit mountable to one of a base and fish strike indicating flagpole of the tip-up with the sensor configured to sense a magnet on the tip-up during operation and cause the processor to alarm when a fish strikes. The unit has a mounting arrangement with a clamp releasably attaching the unit to the flagpole for movement in unison therewith from an armed position towards a fish strike indicating position. The mounting arrangement includes a twist-lock dovetail joint used to removably mount the unit to the tip-up base. The dovetail joint removably attaches the housing to a unit base mounted to the tip-up base. The unit can have another sensor that senses motion, orientation, angle, rotation of the unit.

A dual-bearing reel includes a reel unit, a spool shaft, a spool, and a brake device. The spool shaft is rotatably supported by the reel unit. The spool includes a bobbin trunk, a shaft mount and a coupling wall. The bobbin trunk includes an internal space. The shaft mount has a tubular shape, and is penetrated by the spool shaft. The coupling wall couples the bobbin trunk and the shaft mount. The brake device includes at least one magnet disposed in opposition to the coupling wall. The brake device brakes the spool by a magnetic force applied to the coupling wall from the at least one magnet.

One object is to provide a fishing reel including a magnetic fluid sealed bearing wherein foreign substances are shut out from the magnetic fluid seal to prevent degradation of the magnetic fluid (degradation of the magnetic sealing function). In accordance with one aspect, the fishing reel of the present invention includes a magnetic fluid sealed bearing rotatably supporting a drive shaft (pinion). Protection walls are disposed opposite to each other on or near the sides of the bearing body so as to shut out foreign substances from the bearing body of the magnetic fluid sealed bearing.

A level winding mechanism for a dual-bearing reel includes a worm shaft, a guide member and a slide member. The guide member has a tubular shape and is disposed radially outside of the worm shaft. The slide member has a first through hole and an accommodation recess. The first through hole enables the guide member to penetrate therethrough. The accommodation recess is formed on the inner surface of the first through hole. The slide member is configured to slide along the guide member.
