A fishing reel which includes a covering or enclosure that can also be functionally used as a toy car when detached from the fishing rod. The fishing reel functions as traditional spincast fishing reel when attached to the fishing rod. The reel enclosure is formed in the shape of a toy vehicle and is detachable from the fishing rod. Once removed, the reel enclosure can be reassembled and used as a toy vehicle independent of the rod.

According to the present disclosure, in a fishing reel that comprises component members of various types arranged in a reel body, winds up a fishing line around a spool, and releases the fishing line that has been wound up around the spool, the component members are arranged in a contact state or a proximity state, the component members comprising different types of materials that are different in a raw material, and a corrosion member is attachably/detachably arranged on the component members in a conductive state, the corrosion member having a potential difference that is greater than the potential difference between the component members comprising the different types of materials.

The waterproof structure includes a reel body, a spool, a first abutting member, and a second abutting member. The first abutting member includes a first body portion and at least one first annular protrusion. The first body portion abuts with the reel body. The first annular protrusion protrudes from the first body portion. The second abutting member includes a second body portion and at least one second annular protrusion. The second body portion abuts with the spool and is adjacently disposed at a predetermined first waterproof gap from the first annular protrusion. A clasp is fixed onto a reel and may be original equipment in the reel, or alternatively, the spool may be a replacement or supplemental spool for use in an existing reel. The spool component of a reel includes a central core with flanges on each side to retain a line wound thereon. The spool is intended to be rotated/spun in the reel or alternatively fixed where the line feeder rotates around the spool. The clasp may be positioned on the surface of the core or on the inside surface of one of the side flanges. This way, a fishing line is anchored on the inside of a spool as the line is wound around and builds up outwardly in the spool.

A fishing reel includes a spool supported between side plates of a reel body through a spool shaft; and a clutch mechanism that switches between a power transmission state that winds a fishing line and a power cutoff state capable of unwinding a fishing line by moving a pinion gear of a winding drive mechanism in an axial direction of the spool shaft by operating the switching operation member provided on the reel body to engage and disengage clutch engagement portions of the spool shaft and the pinion gear, wherein, provided between the bearing that supports the spool shaft and the clutch engagement portion on the spool shaft side are: a first elastic portion applying an elastic force to an end of the pinion gear in the power transmission state; and a second elastic portion constantly energizing a side of the bearing in the axial direction of the spool shaft.
