EXTENDABLE SPLIT HEADREST
A headrest frame for a seat is disclosed. In various embodiments, the headrest frame includes a main body portion having a stowed length; a top portion configured to assume a stowed position and a deployed position with respect to the main body portion, the deployed position defining a deployed length greater than the stowed length; and a deployment mechanism configured to urge the top portion into the deployed position from the stowed position.
Motor-vehicle seat
A motor-vehicle seat, in particular a rear motor-vehicle seat, includes a backrest frame having an upper cross-member, and a headrest connected to the upper cross-member and tiltable between an upright operative position and an inoperative position rotated forwardly relative to the operative position. The headrest is rotatably mounted on the upper cross-member of the backrest frame, whereby it is adapted to tilt between its operative and inoperative positions around a transversal axis which is vertically located substantially at the same height of the cross-member.
AUTO STOWING AND DEPLOYING VEHICLE HEADREST
A headrest assembly for use in a motor vehicle is provided. The headrest assembly includes a housing. The headrest assembly also includes an adjustment component operatively coupling the housing to a seatback of a vehicle seat. The headrest assembly further includes an actuator including a motor operatively coupled to the adjustment component, the motor effectuating movement of the housing between a deployed position and a stowed position. The headrest assembly yet further includes a sensor for detecting the presence of an occupant on the vehicle seat, wherein the detection of an occupant on the vehicle seat causes the actuator to move the housing from the stowed position to the deployed position.
Headrest assembly
A headrest assembly for a seat, wherein the headrest assembly comprises first and second headrest portions, the first and second headrest portions being movable relative to each other in a lateral direction, such that in a first configuration the first and second headrest portions are combined and form a single headrest for a single occupant of the seat, and in a second configuration, the first and second headrest portions are laterally spaced apart and form separate headrests for respective first and second occupants of the seat.

Lateral head support for a vehicle passenger seat
A passenger seat for a vehicle includes a head restraint positioned at an upper portion of the passenger seat and a lateral head support selectively configurable between a deployed configuration in which the lateral head support provides lateral support for at least one side of a passenger head and a stowed configuration in which the lateral support collapses into the passenger seat such that the lateral head support no longer provides lateral support for a passenger head.
Headrest
The load applied to a connecting member that connects a second horizontal shaft to a base member in a headrest for a vehicle is reduced. The headrest comprises a pillar member including a right and a left vertical shaft extending upward from an upper part of a seat back, a right and a left first horizontal shaft extending forward from upper ends of the respective vertical shafts, each first horizontal shaft including a curved section, and a second horizontal shaft extending laterally between front parts of the first horizontal shafts, a base member including a base vertical portion extending vertically ahead of the vertical shafts, a base upper portion extending rearward from an upper end of the base vertical portion, and a right and a left first hole formed in the base upper portion to have the respective curved sections or the respective vertical shafts passed therethrough, a connecting member pivotably connecting the base upper portion to the second horizontal shaft, and a pad supported by the base member.
Headrest Support Device
Provided is a simple and compact headrest support device. The headrest support device (20) comprises a support member (22) coupled to a frame (2) of a seatback (1), and a headrest pillar structure including a pillar base portion (25) extending laterally and supported by the support member so as to be rotatable around an axial line of the pillar base portion, and a pair of pillar main body portions (26) extending substantially vertically from the pillar base portion substantially in parallel to each other in a laterally spaced apart relationship and connected to a headrest (24), wherein the support member is coupled to the frame at at least one coupling portion (34) disposed between the two pillar main body portions in front view in a headrest upright condition where the headrest is positioned above the seatback.

Passenger seats and doors for an autonomous vehicle
An autonomous can include one or more configurable passenger seats to accommodate a plurality of different seating configurations. For instance, the one or more passenger seats can include a passenger seat defining a seating orientation. The passenger seat can be configurable in a first configuration in which the seating orientation is directed towards a forward end of the autonomous vehicle and a second configuration in which the seating orientation is directed towards a rear end of the autonomous vehicle. The passenger seat can include a seatback rotatable about a pivot point on a base of the passenger seat to switch between the first configuration and the second configuration. Alternatively, or additionally, the autonomous vehicle can include a door assembly pivotably fixed to a vehicle body of the autonomous vehicle such that a swept path of the door assembly when moving between an open position and a closed position is reduced.
